The first royal license to produce Granja chandeliers was granted in Spain in 1727.

Now, with Isabelle, denizens of the twenty-first century may savor the rococo charms of this regal style.

From the shapely body to the tiniest flourishes and fittings, castings are incised with intricate leaf and flower motifs and exhibit lace-like filigree openwork. Cast in Italy, these designs are original to Schonbek.

Spiral crystal arms and scrolls are hand-formed in historic shapes. Highly stylized crystal ornaments contrast with the intricate castings.

Sophia revives eighteenth-century rococo styling with a level of detail that, if anything, surpasses historic models.

The fully cast frame is a lacy embroidery of floral and foliate motifs and tiny decorative patterns. These ornate designs are original to Schonbek, and meticulously executed by Italian casters.

Sophia comes in a variety of classic configurations, including open-cage designs that hark back to the seventeenth century.

Supremely elegant crystal ornaments balance the exuberance of the castings. The signature pendant is a stylized crystal pendeloque with dramatic faceting.
