If you were to listen to architects talking today

apart from the conversations centred around

the many technical aspects of their trade you

would hear much emphasis being put upon new

materials construction techniques and methods

that save time and moneyndasheconomics and profit

being the overriding principles of all building and

construction work these days

You may even hear the odd few talking about

producing buildings that are less toxic to humanlife but you would certainly never hear them

talking about designing a building that functioned

as an interactive gateway between the human and

the causing intelligence of life itself

Or a building that functioned as a living book of

sacred knowledge explaining the origins meaning

and ultimate destiny of the human Where the

temple with its alignment volumes proportions

and symbols were the teaching A resonating

material encompassment of universal timeless

wisdomHence when looking at the deeper meaningembodied in the architecture and symbols of theAncients the most vital thing of all to appreciate isthat they thought in a completely different way thanwe do today Tey had a value system and world

view that in many ways was entirely lsquoupside downrsquoto our ownndashwhat RA Schwaller shows so clearlyin his revolutionary study of the emple of Luxor asthe lsquoPharaonic Mentalityrsquo and what transpires to bethe most vital key to unlocking the real mysteries ofAncient Egypt which is ldquoo understand Egypt one

must to learn to think like an Egyptianrdquo

A NEW APPROACH TO EGYPTOLOGY ReneacuteAdolphe Schwaller de Lubiczndashas is often the casewith such original mindsndashwas light years ahead ofhis time He was one of the first to show throughthe archeological record that Egypt was much olderthan anyone suspected and that it may well have beenthe legacy of a proto civilisation mentioned in thestories of Atlantis and other such legends alludingto the existence of a highly advanced antediluvian

civilisationIn 1936 on a visit to the tomb of Rameses IX inAlexandria Schwaller discovered an image thatrepresented the Pharaoh as a right-angle trianglewith the proportions 345 Tis was an early clue as

he realised it showed that the Pythagorean theoremclaimed to be a Greek invention was in fact fullyunderstood millennia before in Egypt

An utterly heretical view at the time many otherresearchers have since confirmed that the bulk of thelsquoadvancedrsquo knowledge of Ancient Greece is with out adoubt Egyptian in origin

For the next fifteen years Schwaller de Lubicz

remained in Egypt investigating the evidence for whathe believed was an ancient system of psychologicalcosmological and spiritual knowledge

During this time he also noted that the Sphinx mustbe far older than previously thought as its enclosureshowed clear signs of having been weathered bywater not wind and sand

Tis vital lead was tenaciously taken up by JohnAnthony West and eventually confirmed with solidgeological evidence Curiously enough indicatingthat the Sphinx must have been there at least 12000

years ago around the age recently confirmed forGobleki epi in Southern urkey and most definitelynot built by nomadic hunter gatherers

His enlightened work reveals how the empleof Luxor was not only created to embody and

Symbolist key to Egypt

RA Schwaller and the

Above First visiting Egypt in 1936 Schwaller had arevelation upon seeing a pharaoh depicted as a right-angletriangle with the proportions 345 Tis clearly showed the so called lsquoPythagorean theoremrsquo was in use centuries before Pythagoras was even born

preserve the conscious legacy of an advanced ancientcivilisation but that it also reveals the existence ofan original plan for the cultivation and evolution ofhuman life

AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE More often thannot exceptional people who leave their mark onhistory have certain experiences in early life thatare indicators of a destiny to come Champollion atthe age of thirteen when shown the unintelligibleEgyptian hieroglyphics spontaneously declared thathe would discover what they meant A young AlbertEinstein confined to bed with an illness spent hourspondering over precisely how did these invisible forcescontrol the direction of the needle in the compass hisfather had given him

Reneacute Schwaller at the tender age of seven whileexploring in an Alsatian forest experienced a deeplyprofound mystical insight into the nature of thedivine Tis glimpse of a lsquometaphysicalrsquo reality wouldreturn seven years later when he was struck with theprofound desire to discover the true origin of matter

a question that would drive him for the rest of hislife and cause him to eventually become one of thegreatest experts on Sacred Geometry Alchemy andMetaphysics of the 20th Century

Born in 1887 in Alsace-Lorraine Schwallerrsquosfather was a successful chemist and the family wasaffluent enough for him to receive a good educationin mathematics science art and to also have thefreedom to spend many hours exploring naturelsquoexperimentingrsquo and developing his love of painting

Schwaller left home at the age of eighteen after

completing an apprenticeship with his father inpharmaceutical chemistry He moved to Paris to studymodern developments in chemistry and physicswhere he developed an interest in alchemy trackingdown every alchemical text he could find including

those of Paracelsus and Raymond LullFor a period of time he took up painting again

and was a student of Matisse However his main roleamong his contemporaries was that of a philosopherof nature thus he influenced many artists in Paris atthe time such as Arp Leger and especially Prince OVde Lubicz Milosz the Lithuanian mystic poet andstatesman who in 1919 conferred his family title onSchwaller as a means of expressing his gratitude

Schwaller served in the armed forces during thefirst world war as a chemist and afterwards continuedwith his research into alchemy He was also fascinatedwith the esoteric secrets of Gothic architecture

Sometime between 1918 and 1920 in Montparnassehe became acquainted with the pseudonymousFulcanelli who had gathered a band of disciples aroundhim aptly called ldquoTe Brothers of Heliopolisrdquo

Alchemy had found a home in the strange worldof the Parisian occult underground and Fulcanelliand the Brothers of Heliopolis studied the worksof the great alchemists like Nicholas Flammel andBasil Valentinus Fulcanelli and Schwaller met often

and discussed the lsquoGreat Workrsquo the transmutation ofmatter a possibility that the recent advances in atomictheory seemed to bring closer to reality Te ideas forFulcanellirsquos most famous work lsquoTe Mystery of theCathedralsrsquo (1925) are said to have been taken fromSchwaller de Lubicz

Later while living among and guiding acontemplative community of students scholarsartists and craftsmen who had gathered around himat St Moritz in the Swiss Alps Schwaller was ableto produce alchemical glass with reds and blues

thought to compare with the stained glass of ChartresCathedral a feat no other chemist had been able todo in the six hundred years since the cathedrals wereconstructed

It was during these years at St Moritz that his

Above In Egypt Schwaller soon found that his study of how sacred geometry and numbers were fundamental to the design ofthe great cathedrals of Europe was an invaluable tool in decoding the emple of Luxor It eventually became apparent thatthese exact same principles had been used in Egypt many centuries earlier

philosophic and scientific vision coalesced around anunderstanding of the universal laws of harmony

Schwaller originally had no specific interest inancient Egypt and it was in fact his wife Ishar whohad a great interest in Egyptian Hieroglyphs whosuggested they visit there after the community and StMoritz concluded

Hence as an Artist Natural Philosopher Alchemistand Metaphysician Schwaller was unusually qualifiedand uniquely sentimented to be the first person inmany centuries to lift the veil upon the true natureand purposes of Ancient Egypt

Tus in 1936 with that first visit to Egypt and thesubsequent intense study of the emple of Luxor thetrace of a special destiny blossoms into what someconsider to be the most important work on the deepersignificance of human life and the Universe everpublished in the wentieth Century the massive 1048

page ldquoemple Le Hommerdquo or Te emple of ManA meticulous thorough and enlightened revelationof the Egyptian understanding of the meaning ofmankindrsquos existence and its fuller spiritual possibility

A MASTER PLAN REVEALED Schwaller hiswife and step daughter Lucie Lamy who made aninvaluable contribution with her highly detailedillustrations and field notes began their work in 1936and finally finished in 1951 a period of 15 years inwhich they eventually measured the entire temple ofLuxor including every block and inscription

Te more Scwhaller and his small team unravelledthe knowledge encoded into the emple the strongergrew his conviction that the Egyptians had a radicallydifferent consciousness from our own Tey viewedthe world symbolically seeing in nature a lsquowritingrsquoconveying truths about the metaphysical forcesbehind creation the lsquoNetersrsquo as the Egyptians calledthem What they were seeing was a knowledge andprofound experience of living that was essentiallybased within an inner knowing and aggregatingrevelation from these unseen causes behind the

material world rather than a knowledge andexperience based in dealing with the lsquoouterrsquo materialworld based in our five ordinary senses

Te culmination of this painstaking work buildinglayer upon layer facet by facet eventually showedthat the temple was rigorously based upon humanproportions and designed to symbolically representlsquoPharaonic Manrsquo symbol of a developed fully realisedhuman A concept and practice that was later toresurface in the Gothic Cathedrals with their layoutbased upon the lsquoanatomyrsquo of Christ on the cross orspirit embedded in matter

When Schwaller first attempted to overlay thehuman form upon the emple layout it simply didnot fit However he noticed that there was a curiouspractice used in some depictions of the human head

by the Egyptian artists where there would oftenbe some specific device making a clear delineationbetween the crown and the rest of the head It wassometimes part of a headdress a diadem or in somecases an actual join between two blocks of stone

He was delighted to find that if he excluded thecrown of the skull exactly where indicated the humancanon fitted perfectly into the layout of Luxor

Having seen that the layout of the emple wasbased on the human form Schwaller was still lookingfor something else that would help to confirmthis concept In an area of the emple that wouldcorrespond to the navel he reasoned that if this wasthe case there should be something that referred tothis fact particularly as the Egyptians placed greatsignificance upon the navel or the place where ahuman being had once been connected to its motherat the point of its birth

At this exact point in the layout there was an

architrave with a set of hieroglyphics that they wereunable to fully translate Tey asked AlexandreVarille an Egyptologist also working at Luxor whowas interested in what they were doing but scepticalto translate the inscription for them It said ldquolsquoIt is herethe true site of the birth of the King where he passedhis infancy and from whence he departed crownedrdquo

Tis was a major turning point as eventually everydetail of masonry and symbolic art could be shown toexpress an element of the Egyptiansrsquo comprehensiveknowledge of mans spiritual anatomy

Schwaller was later to call this Egyptian philosophy Anthropocosm the Man Cosmos with the idea thatMan is not a lsquoproductrsquo of the universe nor a lsquoscalemodelrsquo of it he is to be regarded as an embodimentof its lsquoessencersquo incarnated in physical form Tis truth

Above Not only did Schwaller discover that the emple of Luxor was laid out in a system of measure based upon thecanon of human proportion but also every detail symboland column position related to a corresponding part of thehuman system even the tiled floor of the lsquoheadrsquo section

has found its way into two now familiar sayings theHermetic lsquoAs above so belowrsquo and the Biblical lsquoGodfashioned man in His imagersquo

An obvious example of the application of thisknowledge is found in the first outer court of theemple on the part of the plan corresponding to thelegs Te strange skew of the axis of the emple follows

the extended leg of the figures of the lsquomarchersrsquo inthe court Te emphasis of this entire hall is upon theforward legndashman in motion living man By skewingthe axis they were symbolising humanity in actionrather than humanity at rest One might think ldquowellwouldnrsquot it be better to just have a statue of a manrunningrdquo as the Greeks may have done Well thisis the profound difference because lsquorunningrsquo is ofcourse a very physical lsquoouterrsquo type of motion and youcanrsquot do that without having to rest and recuperate atsome point

Whereas these figures are shown as uniformly

serene and very lsquocoolrsquo in their attitude and postureTe lsquomotionrsquo indicated here is one of the persistentwork of higher development the lsquomotionrsquo towards ahigher spiritual state from which there is no rest

If you want to get a sense of what the state indicatedfeels like try adopting this posture and actually standlike this for 20 minutes If you can get a hold of someoff cuts of iron bar around 30mm in diameter and100mm long and hold them in each hand as shownin the sculpture

What this does is lsquocaprsquo off the energy that flows out

of the hands much like a lsquokeeperrsquo bar on a horse shoemagnet Tis loads the energy back into ones systemwhich intensifies the mind state Tere is also aparticular lsquogazersquo that is portrayedndashwhich is seeminglya small detail but speaks volumesndashand the gaze is oneof looking out to the horizon its a long distance gazewhich puts one into a neutral detached kind of mindstate and carries the distinct sense of lsquobeing in theworld but not of itrsquo

On this point it is interesting that on the outer wallsof the temple are the great battle scenes of the Kingdefeating his enemies I saw recently an lsquoEgyptologistrsquoexplaining that these were the equivalent ofmodern advertising billboards preaching the Kingrsquospropaganda as no one man could possibly defeatall those enemies single handedly What they areactually saying is that in the Kings lsquoouter lifersquo he hasfought and defeated the forces of chaos that wouldprevent him from communing with the Neters in hislsquoinner templersquondashwhere there are no battle scenes andall is serene and still A good example of this deepersacred philosophy

MUSIC FROZEN IN STONE Many visitors to Luxorand other Egyptian emples have for centuries notedthe profound but mysterious effect these sacredspaces have upon them We must also remember that

these figures and everything else in the temple wouldhave been vibrantly colouredndashyet another layer ofsymbolic meaningndashwhich in combination with the

reliefs and sacred architecture must have caused amagical and distinctive atmosphere

John Anthony West explains this profound effectwhen he says ldquoIt works through vibration Musicmakes the best analogy We all know that musiceffects us emotionally and we also know that musicis based in sound waves very complex combinationsof vibrations frequencies harmonies measure and

volume All these contribute to the emotional effectthat music produces in us Bach produces one thingMozart another the Rolling Stones something elseand Liberace something else all together but its alldone through wave forms via sound You wouldnrsquotnormally think of architecture that way but it wasGoethe that said ldquoArchitecture is frozen musicrdquo Inthe case of these Egyptian emples that idea has tobe taken literally Our eyes will translate the visual

vibrations of light but our intuition and emotionare effected by the vibrations caused by the sacredscience of their architecture

In this sacred science the principles of the Netersall have numbers and various combinations ofnumbers associated with them Numbers are in

themselves of course perfect symbols of universallaws and functions It is through sacred number thatwe can ultimately come to understand everything

Hence the right combinations of proportion

Above In the first court of Luxor corresponding to the lowerleg the axis is deliberately skewed to give a sense of movementTe surrounding figures all have the left leg forward showinglsquoman in motionrsquo rather than man at rest Witnessed directlythe figures have a powerful sense of lsquoadvancingrsquo

and volume derived from the geometry of thesacred numbers associated with that particularNeter produce a set of vibratory frequencies and

harmonies in that building which evoke a certaininternal emotional state that resonates like a lsquotuningforkrsquo with the unseen lsquoessencersquo of that principle Sowhen you walk into an Amun temple that produces aparticular kind of state Dendera will cause somethingcompletely different Hatshupets temple will causesomething different again

Tere are certain lines of esoteric and occulttradition that maintain the true origin of the arotwas not with cards and symbols but as specificallydesigned rooms or chambers within Egyptianldquoeaching emplesrdquo that used this higher inner stateproducing technology combined with symbols andreliefs to lsquotransmitrsquo the deep meanings of these lsquopagesrsquoof the book of life intuitively to the initiate causing adirect spiritual experience or lsquognosisrsquo

Gurdjieff taught that ldquoTe aim of lsquomythsrsquo andlsquosymbolsrsquo is to reach manrsquos higher centres to transmit tohim ideas inaccessible to the intellect and to transmitthem in such forms as would exclude the possibilityof false interpretations lsquoMythsrsquo were destined forthe higher emotional centre lsquosymbolsrsquo for the higherthinking centre

Schwaller also discovered in Luxor clues aboutthe ancient origins of astrology Certain rooms inthe emple linking to different parts of the humansystem had clearly recognisable symbols of the zodiac

associated with them the same ones we would usetoday For example a ram in the forehead area a bullat the throat a lion in the heart chamber and a horsearcher figure positioned at the thighs

Most of the temple is in a very deterioratedcondition so there may well have been a fuller setof Zodiac correspondences however in this context

of Luxor being the lsquoemple of Manrsquo the deeperimplication is that the Egyptians had full knowledgeof how the various parts of the human system linkedin with the workings of the stars

THE BOOK OF LIFE One may be starting to get animpression of why Schwaller referred to Luxor beinga lsquoBook of life in stonersquo Te deep knowledge anduniversal wisdom literally unfolds stone by stone inchby inch as every part of the emple means somethingand teaches something Nothing is there arbitrarilyor by chance Since it would be impossible to cover

the whole emple in this article I will endeavour tohighlight a few of the most outstanding symbolistteachings that unfold throughout the temple

Te Entrance to the emple is between the frontpylons (although one is now in Paris) Tese pylonsrepresent what is called the twin peaks of the horisonJust past these pylons would have been the classicalEgyptian doorway with the winged solar disc andits two serpents symbolically demonstrating theoriginal one dividing itself into two Spirit becomingmatter the void becoming space and time

Te doorway itself is constructed to the exactproportions and ratio of 21 wherein the height ofthe opening is 12 Oslash which is specifically Phi or theGolden Section ratio It is curious that the glyph theGreeks later used to represent pi (prod) is remarkablysimilar to the shape of this Egyptian doorway

It has also been shown with natural law formulaslike the Fibonacci series that the human body notonly has a myriad of these proportions withinits own constitution but that also the process oforganic growth itself develops by this ratio Recentlyscience has confirmed that this lsquogolden ratiorsquo is alsofundamental to the structure of both atoms and ourDNAndashall of which strongly suggests that the presenceof these proportions in us and in the universe is initself a link to the original divine causes of the human

What is being represented by the two pylons hereis the manifestation of this duality into the materialworlds and everything around us from birth anddeath lightdark asleepawake MaleFemaleGrowthDecay EmotionIntellectthe list is quiteliterally endless We see this concept turn up later inhistory as the two pillars of Solomonrsquos temple and the

Jachin and Boaz of the Masonic emplesHence even in the very approach to the temple you

are being alerted to lsquore-memberrsquo the fact that you areentering into the process of reuniting with unity from

Above A unique version of the Hierophant tarot cardencapsulating the wisdom that real esoteric knowledge is partof a living immortal body of truth that can only be receivedby direct transmission within the emple environment

out of the world of duality that became multiplicityTe long and difficult process of working to bereunited with the source of ones arisingndashor would be

if you were fortunate enough to have been admittedinto the esoteric lsquoschoolrsquo of this emplendashldquoFor thegate is small and the way is narrow that leads to lifeand there are few who find itrdquo (Matthew 7-14) Tisprinciple is what Gurdjieff would have referred to asovercoming the many conflicting small lsquoirsquos of onespersonality that have taken over the human systemand keep one eternally divided and conqueredwithin ones self Tis is the gateway inward to oneslsquoessencersquo and the beginning of the work to Develop apermanent and unchangeable lsquoIrsquo

Te Feet Legs amp Femur moving on through thefeet legs (touched upon earlier) and kneesndashall withtheir anthropocosmic significancendashwe arrive at thearea that corresponds to the largest single structurein the body which is the femur Although vital froman anatomically structural standpoint the femur alsohas a lsquohiddenrsquo vital function in that in its marrowthe majority of red corpuscles are produced for theblood which is the media for the transportation andcirculation of both oxygen and chemical nutrimentsto lsquonourishrsquo and lsquoupholdrsquo the rest of the body

In this area of the temple the reliefs on the wallportray the processions which brought the celebrationfeasts into the temple ceremonially emulating theprocess of providing sustenance of the entire humanform

In these reliefs is a further clue to the mystery ofthe anthropocosm as we realise that as the individualblood cells are vehicles of nourishment to the largerbody we an also begin to consider our selves asenergetic events as the cells of the lsquogreater bodyrsquoexchanging nourishment for consciousness In certainGnostic traditions the initiate would be referred to as

a ldquoLiving stone in the emple of Godrdquo and are not themany lsquosmall livesrsquo within our own bodies devoted tothe lsquoworkrsquo of keeping us alive for a greater purpose

ldquoIt appears quite distinctly that the secret pharaonicteaching is based on the vital functions for which theorgans are the living symbolsthere can no longerbe any doubt about the degree of knowledge theancients had about what might be called spiritualmetaboloism from the assimilation of nourishmentto the liberation of Energy or Spirit manifested in theintellectual faculties and the powers of consciousnessrdquo

- R A Schwaller One can only wonder where such knowledgeoriginally came from as it wasnrsquot until almost 2000

years later that William Harvey rediscovered thecirculation and vital importance of the blood

Te Lungs amp Heart At the site of the lungs is thehypostyle hall where the bases of its columns are cutwith the phases of the moon Schwaller associatedthe lungs with the phases of the moon and the heartwith the sun Te Heart area of the temple was laterappropriated by the early Copts and turned into achurch It is revealing that they would choose the

same part of the temple that would have been sacredto the Egyptians themselves particularly when muchof that religion would later become focused aroundthe idea of the lsquoway of the heartrsquo ldquoBut I say to youlove your enemies and pray for those who persecute

yourdquoTe Vocal chords Mouth amp Optic Nerves As

we move up into the physiological anchor points forthe lsquohigherrsquo or more spiritual faculties of the humanform the teaching becomes ever more profound andsignificant

THE VIRGIN BIRTH In the neck area of the templeis a little chamber that corresponds to the throat and

vocal chords which is also the seat of the emotionor emotional lsquocentrersquo On one wall is a world historychanging scene Its called the scene of the theogamyor the lsquomarriage to the godsrsquo Tis must have been inits timendashwhen fully furbished and lsquoactiversquondasha place ofmost rarified and highly charged atmospheres Tisscene is in many ways the lsquoarot cardrsquo of the essenceof true religion which is the state of reunion orlsquomarriagersquo to the unseen universal principles of ones

existenceIn it Amun and the queen are seated upon the

symbol for the sky supported by two goddesses Selkitand Neith whose own feet donrsquot rest upon the ground

Above In the emple of Luxor we see clues to the origin ofthe Medieval astrological concept of each part of the humanbody being analogous and lsquotunedrsquo into the constellations ofthe Zodiac

indicating the spiritual nature of the scene Amun istelling the queen that she shall shortly give birth to adivine king to a divine being

Tis is the original lsquoannunciationrsquo that we are seeing1300 years before Christ on the wall of an Egyptiantemple Te emotional function is in fact the most

vital gateway in the realising of mans full spiritualpossibility because it accumulates and stores thefiner energies needed to activate the higher thinkingcentre wherein one is able to connect directly for

oneself to higher dimensionsndashwhat in some lsquoschoolsrsquowould be referred to as sun and star level influence

Tose rare few in history who have managed todo this are always evident by their mysterious geniusand lsquocup runneth overrsquo phenomena Tis is thereal lsquochalicersquo of the Grail Myth As with people likeLeonardo Divinci Isaac Newton and Rudolf Stienerthese people become like lsquofountainsrsquo or lsquofontsrsquo of newideas ways and possibilities of new breakthroughpossibilities for the human race

Tis sacred space points to the need to understand

the correct function and purpose of the emotionWe are looking at the lsquovirginrsquo birth of the highernon carnal immortal divine self the emergence ofthe lsquoKing of Gloryrsquo the human system was originallydesigned to produce What Gurdjieff referred to asthe creation of a new lsquosoulrsquo

Both Gerald Massey and Alvin Boyd Khun haveshown in great detail just how the core themes ofthe Judaic-Christian religion did indeed originatein Ancient Egypt For the surrounding neolithicpeoples whorsquos religion was based on reincarnatingwithin the wheel of eternal repetition the arrival of

these Egyptians (from wherever that was) with anadvanced spiritual knowledge of how to finally breakthe cycle and escape the lsquowheelrsquo must have indeedbeen truly lsquoGood Newsrsquo

Arriving at the Mouth we enter the centralsanctuary which geometrically is the lsquoseedrsquo that thegeneration of the rest of the temples layout is developedaround Of course at the mundane level the mouth is

just for eating and talking but at the energetic levelof the human system it as a vital apparatus for selfcreation ldquoIn the beginning was the wordrdquo a wilfulconscious lsquoutterancersquo whereby an energetic vibratorytransmission becomes form and matter Te Egyptiansymbol for the mouth is the exact same shape as a

vibrating string with its generation of fundamentalovertones or tonic growth Hence to speak out orlsquodeclarersquo ones intentions to give ones word to sweara sacred oath are all vital actions in the continuedgrowth of ones new higher self We see hints ofthis knowledge indicated centuries later when Jesusattacks the hypocrisy of the Pharisees saying ldquoWhatgoes into someonersquos mouth does not defile them butwhat comes out of their mouth that is what defilesthemfor that comes from the heartrdquo

Te next room with its 12 columns corresponds to

the optical centres and the 12 optical nerves found inthis area anatomicallyTe Tird Eye amp Crown Te last chamber at the

very end of the emple is the holy of holies Tisentire triple sanctuary is based upon rigorous andelegant sacred geometry incorporating constantslike the roots of 2 3 and 5 A part of this room isproportioned precisely 8 to 9 which is the proportionof the first note of the musical scale the lsquoDorsquo of thedescending octave

Anatomically this encompasses the pineal glandwhich has been discovered recently to contain the

same proteins used to produce photo receptor cellsin the eye When eventually activated by the sacredwork dormant areas of the brain are switched oncausing an accelerated intuitive awareness and

Above Te entrance to the emple of Luxor has a number of ways to indicate that lsquoenteringrsquo into the emple of man is thebeginning of a journey of return to the original unseen source of life o journey between the conflict of oppositesndashthe result ofthe original great scissionndashwhere the one became two and then the many From the dual pylons to the winged solar disc withits two serpents representing the great powers of duality released in to the world through to the sacred geometry of the Vesica

Pisces through which all manifested form appears throughndashall announces to the initiate that this is the doorway to eternity

lsquosupernaturalrsquo phenomena such as ESP clairvoyancetelepathy profound lsquovisionaryrsquo understanding and aneed for very little sleep

However in the vast majority of humans this glandremains dormant and eventually calcifies becomingcompletely petrified by middle age

In Egyptian art the occurrence of this pineal gland

activation or lsquoTird Eyersquo is indicated by the Cobraemerging from the centre of the forehead As in allEgyptian art this is both symbolic and literal in termsof the human energetic or subtle body mechanics

In India this level of development was called thelsquoKundalinirsquo and quite literally depicts the potentgenerative energy of the lsquosexual centrersquondashcontained inthe pelvic girdlendashbeing caused by the correct trainingand work to rise up through the spine and into thebrain giving birth to superior consciousness andhuman abilities

Te divine King born of the emotional body isnow fully lsquoawakenedrsquo in astral form Tis is the realmeaning of the unification of lsquoUpper and Lower Egyptrsquoor the opposition of the higher and lower systems ofoneself further symbolised in the diadem or royalcrown with the Cobrarsquos body neatly delineating thetwo hemispheres of the brain Originally the meaningof the word Christ or lsquoKRSrsquo was the lsquoanointed onersquoWhen the Egyptians performed the ceremonialanointing of this spot on the forehead it was done withoil made from the fat of the Nile crocodile divinatedto the Neter Sobek which in turn is divinated to the

constellation of Draco the great serpent furtherimplying a now lost understanding of the connectionbetween mans spiritual fulfilment and the influenceof the stars

TO BE CROWNED IN GLORY Having reached thislast sanctuary of the emple one might think this isthe highest point or culmination of cosmic man butit is not for now we arrive at the crown of the headTis may be the end of the temple but it is also reallya new beginning an octave change from the physical

subtle human body to a purely lsquospiritualrsquo dimensionYou may recall that Schwaller had discovered thehuman form would only fit over the temple layoutif the crown of the skull was left off precisely whereEgyptian reliefs indicated it should be

Caused by this strange lsquopromptrsquo to look moreclosely at this part of the brain and its functions itsoon became apparent that it is the top portion ofthe brain or the Cerebrum that is responsible for all

voluntary or lsquoconsciousrsquo activity and the generationof the higher mental functions such as thinkingreasoning intelligence memory and language Below

that demarcation line are the more lsquoprimitiversquo midbrain and brain stem functions that are responsiblefor the involuntary automatic and lsquounconsciousrsquo actions such as breathing digestion etc

Tis is where the Egyptian understanding of manis at its most profound because the teaching is thatan individual may have been born and grown fullyin physical terms but is still unfinished in terms oftheir full possibility It is interesting that the wordlsquocrownrsquo still means ldquoTe triumphant culminationrdquoTe deeper significance of this part of ourselves isthat this is the intelligence of voluntary action whatwe think reason and then decide for ourselves to dowhat we choose to become what impulses and ideaswe will allow to influence our thoughts and hence ouractions in life You become what you think about

Te Egyptians knew that what nourishes the

growth of that which is immortal and eternal in mandoes not come from burgers and beer it comes fromthe unseen worlds the lsquofirersquo food of the four elements

Tey also understood fully that the actual livingtruth the divine revelation of knowledge came notfrom books but from their connection to the unseenprinciples and power of the lsquoNetersrsquo through the topof the head according to what one thought and dweltupon What is called in Eastern wisdom the lsquoCrownChakrarsquo Tis being lsquocrownedrsquo with glory we seedepicted later in Renaissance art with the presence

of golden halos Tis knowledge also underpins thewhole history and usage of Royal Crowns with theirlsquopreciousrsquo metals and lsquorarersquo gems placed upon thispart of the head

Galileo Leonardo Goethe and even Newton allconsidered their brilliant insights to be revelationsfrom a higher source John Chambers in his ldquoTesecret life of geniusrdquo details 24 famous 20th Centuryfigures whorsquos great works were all influenced fromthis lsquoother realmrsquo Te knowledge of this fact has ofcourse been carefully kept from us as the cardinalsof progress would hate the idea of anyone receiving

knowledge from a higher source than them Tis is why all throughout Egyptian art and

sculpture we sees a variety of lsquocrownsrsquo and lsquoheadgearrsquodepicted and yet not a single one is on display in any

983097

Above With the activation of the pineal gland the third eyeis opened and seemingly supernatural powers released Tediadem lsquocrownrsquo symbolises this new level of consciousnesswith the Cobrarsquos tail uniting the two hemispheres of the brainTe cobra amp vulture together indicate the two functions of theintellect and intuition working together

museum anywhere in the world for the simple reasonthat none have ever been found Egyptian artists werenot depicting a material object they were indicatingan unseen influence and presence anchored uponthe crown of the head

You often hear people these days in leadershiptalking about ldquothe battle to win hearts and mindsrdquo

because everybody is out to influence your thinkingo gain new converts to their cause If we were fullyawakened and able to lsquoseersquo these unseen realms asthe Egyptians did we would be able to perceive abovepeoples heads the unseen intelligence and forcesthat influence them and govern their livesndashthe truecause of their deeds and actions Politics money sexmaterialism self obsession apathy fundamentalistreligion the whole gamut of what makes up themind and mentality of modern men and womantoday

When the Neters or divine principles in Egypt weredepicted wearing a particular lsquocrownrsquo it indicatedwhat specific universal intelligence they were anactive function of How many humans today wouldwe see wearing the lsquocrownrsquo of those sacred presencesand influences that assist the human to reach itsfuller universal spiritual potential

THE IMMORTAL LEGACY Considering theadvanced knowledge wisdom and occult science ofthe Egyptian lsquoFounding Fathersrsquo with their intimateunderstanding of an evolving living universe and

mans vital role within it one canrsquot help wonderingif the anthropocosmic principle demonstrated inTe emple of Man may not have been applied on alarger scale to the entire lsquoground planrsquo of Egypt itself

Creating over time a complete lsquomorphic fieldrsquo or

astral lsquoreservoirrsquo of a higher truer advanced way ofliving Especially when one discovers just how muchof the Western world and its historical developmentsare essentially Egyptian in their origin

Clearly the influence intelligence and spiritualnourishment of lsquounseenrsquo Egypt found itrsquos way intoRA Schwallers mind and effected his life deeplyinspiring and motivating him to make a truly heroiceffort to make this profound truth of history andmans full potential available to those who might seekit

We owe a great debt to his dedication and geniusRegrettably as is often the case with people who areahead of their time he has never received the fullrespect and recognition he deserved

However thankrsquos primarily to the tireless efforts ofJohn Anthony West to ensure Schwallers vital workwas not forever buried beneath the lifeless desertof a perverse materialist world view Schwallersilluminated revelations have not been entirelyforgotten

Perhaps in these transitional times there maybe others now emerging who seek to re open the

must to learn to think like an Egyptianrdquo

RA Schwaller and the

preserve the conscious legacy of an advanced ancientcivilisation but that it also reveals the existence ofan original plan for the cultivation and evolution ofhuman life

Tey also understood fully that the actual livingtruth the divine revelation of knowledge came notfrom books but from their connection to the unseenprinciples and power of the lsquoNetersrsquo through the topof the head according to what one thought and dweltupon What is called in Eastern wisdom the lsquoCrownChakrarsquo Tis being lsquocrownedrsquo with glory we seedepicted later in Renaissance art with the presence

preserve the conscious legacy of an advanced ancientcivilisation but that it also reveals the existence ofan original plan for the cultivation and evolution ofhuman life

Te Lungs amp Heart At the site of the lungs is thehypostyle hall where the bases of its columns are cutwith the phases of the moon Schwaller associatedthe lungs with the phases of the moon and the heartwith the sun Te Heart area of the temple was laterappropriated by the early Copts and turned into achurch It is revealing that they would choose the

same part of the temple that would have been sacredto the Egyptians themselves particularly when muchof that religion would later become focused aroundthe idea of the lsquoway of the heartrsquo ldquoBut I say to youlove your enemies and pray for those who persecute

yourdquoTe Vocal chords Mouth amp Optic Nerves As

we move up into the physiological anchor points forthe lsquohigherrsquo or more spiritual faculties of the humanform the teaching becomes ever more profound andsignificant

indicating the spiritual nature of the scene Amun istelling the queen that she shall shortly give birth to adivine king to a divine being

Anatomically this encompasses the pineal glandwhich has been discovered recently to contain the

Tey also understood fully that the actual livingtruth the divine revelation of knowledge came notfrom books but from their connection to the unseenprinciples and power of the lsquoNetersrsquo through the topof the head according to what one thought and dweltupon What is called in Eastern wisdom the lsquoCrownChakrarsquo Tis being lsquocrownedrsquo with glory we seedepicted later in Renaissance art with the presence

philosophic and scientific vision coalesced around anunderstanding of the universal laws of harmony

THE VIRGIN BIRTH In the neck area of the templeis a little chamber that corresponds to the throat and

vocal chords which is also the seat of the emotionor emotional lsquocentrersquo On one wall is a world historychanging scene Its called the scene of the theogamyor the lsquomarriage to the godsrsquo Tis must have been inits timendashwhen fully furbished and lsquoactiversquondasha place ofmost rarified and highly charged atmospheres Tisscene is in many ways the lsquoarot cardrsquo of the essenceof true religion which is the state of reunion orlsquomarriagersquo to the unseen universal principles of ones

indicating the spiritual nature of the scene Amun istelling the queen that she shall shortly give birth to adivine king to a divine being

Above Te entrance to the emple of Luxor has a number of ways to indicate that lsquoenteringrsquo into the emple of man is thebeginning of a journey of return to the original unseen source of life o journey between the conflict of oppositesndashthe result ofthe original great scissionndashwhere the one became two and then the many From the dual pylons to the winged solar disc withits two serpents representing the great powers of duality released in to the world through to the sacred geometry of the Vesica

lsquosupernaturalrsquo phenomena such as ESP clairvoyancetelepathy profound lsquovisionaryrsquo understanding and aneed for very little sleep

Tis is the original lsquoannunciationrsquo that we are seeing1300 years before Christ on the wall of an Egyptiantemple Te emotional function is in fact the most

vital gateway in the realising of mans full spiritualpossibility because it accumulates and stores thefiner energies needed to activate the higher thinkingcentre wherein one is able to connect directly for

the correct function and purpose of the emotionWe are looking at the lsquovirginrsquo birth of the highernon carnal immortal divine self the emergence ofthe lsquoKing of Gloryrsquo the human system was originallydesigned to produce What Gurdjieff referred to asthe creation of a new lsquosoulrsquo

In these reliefs is a further clue to the mystery ofthe anthropocosm as we realise that as the individualblood cells are vehicles of nourishment to the largerbody we an also begin to consider our selves asenergetic events as the cells of the lsquogreater bodyrsquoexchanging nourishment for consciousness In certainGnostic traditions the initiate would be referred to as

lsquosupernaturalrsquo phenomena such as ESP clairvoyancetelepathy profound lsquovisionaryrsquo understanding and aneed for very little sleep
