【载文范畴】 Welcome to the on-line submission and editorial system for NeuroImage.

NeuroImage, A Journal of Brain Function, provides a vehicle for communicating

important advances, using imaging and modelling techiniques to study structure-

function relationships in the brain. The focus of NeuroImage is on brain systems;

however, we are happy to consider papers dealing with structure and function at

the microscopic level; if they inform the systems level. The main criterion, on which

papers are judged, is to what extent does the scientific contribution advance our

understanding of the mechanisms of brain function and how this function depends

upon its structure and architecture. These mechanism may operate in health and

disease; therefore, NeuroImage welcomes clinical neuroscience papers that are

framed to address mechanisms explicitl y. The journal publishes original research

articles, papers on methods or modelling, theory and position papers that describe

the use of imaging approaches to studying the brain. While the goal of NeuroImage

is to help further our understanding of the human brain, papers using animal or

lesion models to establish the usefulness of different techniques and ideas are also

welcome. The journal strives to incorporate theoretical and technological

innovations as part of its publishing remit and is committed to publishing the

highest quality papers in both print and electronic media. The administration of the

journal is integrative. This reflects the fact that imaging neuroscience is a multi-

disciplinary science. Submitted papers will generally be considered under four

sections. These comprise Methods and Modelling, Anatomy and Physiology,

Systems Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroscience. On occasion, the Editors may

reassign a submission from the authors original choice. These four sections reflect

fields of specialisation in neuroimaging and implicitly define the area in which a

paper may have its greatest impact. If it is not clear under which Section a paper

should be handled, then we welcome pre-submission e nquiries. GUIDELINES

FOR COMMENTS & CONTROVERSIES (for Editors and authors) NeuroImage is

happy to consider a range of comments and controversy articles. The format of

these pieces can include: A single commentary, editorial or opinion piece. A target

article, with between one and four commentaries. If the number of commentaries is

greater than one, we would normally expect these not to exceed 2000 words in

length. A target article, commentary (or commentaries) and a response by the

original authors. This response would not normally exceed 2000 words in length.

The target article, in all cases, can be invited by an Editor, a member of the

Editorial Board or can be endorsed by either following an unsolicited request from

an author. Before proceeding with the target article, it would be appropriate to

secure the title, abstract and anticipated time-frame for submission. Furthermore,

suggested reviewers and commentators should be considered. It is generally a

good idea to clarify in advance who will be the reviewers of the target article and

commentaries and who will be commentators. The commentators are usually

chosen through dialogue with the author, with the final responsibility resting with

the Handling Editor. When these details have been finalised the Editorial Office

(Manpreet Bassan) should be notified, so that we can coordinate and help with

logistics. Submission of the invited target article should follow the procedures

detailed under “Invitation to submit an article” in the author tutorial. Similarly,

commentators should be invited to submit a commentary on a manuscript using

the protocol under “S ubmitting a commentary

the chemistry must be emphasized. Papers that describe instrumentation important

to molecular imaging as well as papers describing translation al clinical research

and the issues of extending preclinical research to clinical studies are also

welcome

submission stage, or along with the revised/amended manuscript. The aim of the

covers the medical aspects of interpretation of a great variety of imaging

techniques in the neurosciences as well as those aspects of treatment that are

covered by the term ‘interventional radiology’. Consequently, Neuroradiology is a

journal in which papers on neuroradiological diagnosis and treatment, the

application of basic sciences to both and the use of apparatus are all welcomed.

Moreover, normal neuroanatomy and those aspects of neurophysiolog y that affect

radiology in its widest sense are important to its readers. The editors seek papers

that give critical guidance to the choice between techniques as well as those that

describe new advances. CT is now of prime importance. Many older methods are

still appropriate. Ultrasound, positron emission tomography and magnet ic

resonance imaging (MRI) have growing significance. A more obviously didactic role

is played by invited, comprehensive review articles that are published from time to

time. Unsolicited review articles are no longer accepted. Case reports of special

interest, because of their rarity or practical instructio nal content, are also included.

Technical notes (maximum article length 1000 words, maximum of three figures,

unlimited references) should include a structured abstract of no more than 250

words with the following subsections: Introduction, Methods, Resu lts, Conclusion.

In the interests of wide international circulation, papers should be written in English

and include a short, structured abstract (no more than 250 words) in English. The

abstract should be structured in the following manner: Introduction, Methods,

Result s, and Conclusions.Special features of the journal are the high-quality

reproduction of figures and attractively short publication periods. Manuscripts

submitted for publication must contain a statement to the effect that all human

studies have been revi ewed by the appropriate ethics committee and have

therefore been performed in accordance with the ethical standards laid down in an

appropriate version of the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki. It should also be stated

clearly in the text that all persons gav e their informed consent prior to their

inclusion in the study. Details that might disclose the identity of the subjects under

study should be omitted. Submissions must be accompanied by a signed Conflict

of Interest Disclosure form. If there is no conflict of interest, one author must write

"None" and sign the form on behalf of all authors before uploading it to the

Pediatric Radiology informs its readers of new findings and progress in all areas of

pediatric imaging and in related fields. This is achieved by a blend of original

papers, complemented by reviews that set out the present state of knowledge in a

particu lar area of the specialty or summarize specific topics in which discussion

has led to clear conclusions. Advances in technology, methodology, apparatus and

auxiliary equipment are presented, and modifications of standard techniques are

described. Manuscripts submitted for publication must contain a statement to the

effect that all human studies have been reviewed by the appropriate ethics

committee and have therefore been performed in accordance with the ethical

standards laid down in an appropri ate version of the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki.

It should also be stated clearly in the text that all persons gave their informed

consent prior to their inclusion in the study. Details that might disclose the identity

of the subjects under study should be omitted. Reports of animal experiments must

state that the "Principles of laboratory animal care" (NIH publication No. 86-23,

revised 1985) were followed, as well as specific national laws (e. g. the current

version of the German Law on the Protection of Animals) where applicable. The

Managing Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts that do not comply with

the above-mentioned requirements. The author will be held responsible for false

statements or for failure to fulfil the above-mentioned requirements.

Skeletal Radiology, the official organ of the International Skeletal Society, serves

as a forum for the dissemination of current knowledge and information dealing with

disorders of the musculoskeletal system including the spine. Although the

radiological aspects of the many varied skeletal abnormalities are emphasized, the

journal also adopts an interdisciplinary approach, reflecting the membership of the

International Skeletal Society. Thus, the anatomical, pathological, physiological,

clinical, metabo lic and epidemiological aspects of the many entities affecting the

skeleton each receive appropriate consideration. The format of the journal consists

of two principal sections. One section, approximately one third of the journal,

includes a number of short case presentations, including histological sections

where relevant and a bibliography of the important reference s. Many of the cases

published are selected from the extensive repertoire of material presented at the

annual meetings of the International Skeletal Society, at which members of the

society present a series of interesting and instructive proved cases ove r a three

day weekend meeting. In addition, case reports from nonmembers of the Society

are published if considered suitable, as determined by the Editor of the section.

Nonmembers, therefore, are encouraged to send such cases for editorial

consideration . The published cases in this section are selected carefully, not only

for their esoteric qualities, but even more importantly, for their inherent value as

teaching and, hopefully, learning exercises.The second section, which is

approximately two thirds of the journal, is more traditional being concerned with

the publication of proffered articles. Their selection is made by the editors-in-chief,

who have the input of a distinguished board of editorial consultants, international in

scope, representing mu ltiple disciplines concerned with disorders of the skeleton.

Although emphasis is placed on manuscripts of a radiological interest, articles

submitted in inter-related disciplines are encouraged. It is also stressed that

material dealing with all phases of radiology is welcomed. Thus, in addition to

conventional diagnostic radiology, proffered subject material may cover nuclear

radiology, computerized axial tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging where

applicable.

【载文范畴】 Applied Radiation and Isotopes provides a high quality medium for the publication

of substantial, original and scientific and technological papers on the development

and applications of nuclear, radiation and radionuclide techniques in chemistry,

physics , biochemistry, biology, medicine, engineering and in the earth, planetary

and environmental sciences. Nuclear techniques are defined in the broadest sense

and both experimental and theoretical papers are welcome. They include the

development and use of α- and β-particles, X-rays and γ-rays, neutrons and other

nuclear particles and radiations from all sources, including radionuclides,

synchroton sources, cyclotrons and reactors and from the natural environment.

Nuclear magnetic resonance and electron spin resonance are important

technologies within the scope of Applied Radiation and Isotopes. Papers dealing

with radiation processing, or the biological , chemical or physical effects of radiation

are not appropriate for publication in Applied Radiation and Isotopes. Manuscripts

dealing with radiation processing, or the chemical or physical effe cts of radiation

should be directed to our sister journal Radiaton Physics and Chemistry.

Manuscripts describing the results of measurements of radioactive or other

substances in any medium that have been obtained using well-established

analytical methods will not be accepted unless they also describe substantial

innovations or improvements i n the analytical methodology. Relevant topics for

Applied Radiation and Isotopes include the following, however, authors are

encouraged to suggest other topics which might also be published in the journal: ?

Radiation Sources: design, construction, production, characteristics. ?

Radionuclides: production, activation cross-sections, target design, processing,

quality control procedures. ? Synthesis of Labelled Compounds: synthesis,

purification, quality control, in vitro testing of radionuclide-labelled compounds/

radiopharmaceuticals. ? Measurement of Radiation and Radioactivity:

measurement of X-rays, γ-rays, χ- and β-particles and other forms of radiation;

nuclear instrumentation, including radiation spectrometry, dosimetry, novel counting

systems and whole-body counters, novel r adiation detector systems. ?

Radioanalytical Methods: activation analysis, isotope dilution analysis,

radioimmunoassay, radionuclide tomography, radiation spectrometry. ? Nuclear

Physics and Chemistry topics including data compilations, directly relevant to

practical applications. ? Nuclear Magnetic Resonanace/Electron Spin Resonance:

dosimetry, dating, imaging, biomedical applications and radiation accidents. ?

Accelerator Mass Spectrometry: methodology, biomedical, environmental and other

applications. ? Nuclear Geophysics: studies of the earth's crust, the hydrosphere,

the atmosphere and planetary bodies; nuclear methods for exploration, extraction,

transport and use of water, oil, gas, coal and other minerals. ? Radiochemistry:

chemical behaviour and speciation of radionuclides. ? Environment: chemical

behaviour and speciation of radionuclides and labelled compounds other than

those of direct clinical interest, in geological, environmental, human, animal or plant

systems; factors which modify this behaviour. Manuscripts, which will be subject to

peer review, should take one of the following form: Original papers , which should

be definitiveand describe a reasonbly complete investigation. Technical Notes wich

may describe new, unpublished information, includi ng preliminary communications

and work in progress; or may take the form of Letters to the Editors containing

comments related to articles previously published in the journal. This type of

communication should not exceed two printed pages in order to exp edite their

publication. Review articles and conference proceedings may also be accepted for

publication following discussion with an editor of the journal.

monitoring, accident dosimetry, and dosimetry related to the protection of patients.

Particular emphasis is placed on papers covering the fundamentals of dosimetry;

units, radiation quantities a nd conversion factors. Papers covering archaeological

dating are included only if the fundamental measurement method or technique, such

as thermoluminescence, has direct application to personal dosimetry

measurements. Papers covering the dosimetric aspec ts of radon or other naturally

occurring radioactive materials and low level radiation are included. Animal

experiments and ecological sample measurements are not included unless there is

a significant relevant content reason. SCIENTIFIC or TECHNICAL PAPERS should

be full papers of a theoretical or practical nature with comprehensive descriptions of

the work covered. SCIENTIFIC or TECHNICAL NOTES should be brief, covering

not more than four journal printed pages, and are likely to cover work in

development or topics of lesser significance than full papers.

Medical and health physics. The clinical studies submitted for publication include

experimental studies of combined modality treatment, especially chemoradiotherapy

approaches, and relevant innovations in hyperthermia, brachytherapy, high LET

irradiation, nuclear medicine, dosimetry, tumor imaging, radiation treatment

planning, radiosensitizers, and radioprotectors. All manuscripts must pass stringent

peer-review and only papers that are rated of high scientific quality are accepted.

Contributions may be of the following types: -Papers reporting results of original

fundamental research -Review articles from authorized persons -Short

communications -Case reports -Technical Innovations

University of Medical Sciences and Iranian Society of Radiology. IJR is a scientific

forum dedicated primarily to the topics relevant to radiology and allied sciences of

the developing countries, which have been neglected or have received little

attention in the Western medical literature. Manuscripts would be particularly

welcome which deal with radiology and imaging from geographic regions wherein

problems regarding economical, social, ethnic and cultural parameters affecting

prevalence and course of the illness are taken into consideration.
