MIPS® IS A TECHNOLOGY WHICH MIMICS THE HUMAN HEADThe brain is suspended in low friction cerebrospinal fluid which allows your brain to slide within your skull to protect when impacted. MIPS® is a unique technology intended to pro-tect your brain against oblique blows by mimicking this low friction barrier, thereby reducing the forces transmitted to your brain. Scott has integrated MIPS® technology into the Rove and Chase helmets.

SCOTT M-R.A.S FIT SYSTEMThe Scott Couloir features the new and lightest SCOTT FIT SYSTEM. The M-R.A.S. provides a comfortable fit around the rider’s head due to the front snap positions.

SCOTT L.P.D (LOw PROFILE DAMPIng) COnSTRuCTIOnLocated on the crown of the helmet, the SCOTT L.P.D. construction provides the maximum level of protection by maintaining just the right amount of damping material. L.P.D is a low profile construction resulting in one of the thinnest mountaineering helmets on the market.

MOunTAInEERIng COnFIguRATIOnThe Scott Couloir is designed for vertical endeavors. The helmet can be converted from a ski helmet to a mountaineering helmet by removing the ear padding and inner lining. The minimalist permanent pads provide ventilation and comfort. The chinstrap’s position ensures the helmet will securely fasten to the neck and minimizes the helmet’s forward and backward movement, allowing for a snug fit. Side fixation points hold a headlamp for night conditions, and a small brim around the helmet keeps moisture out of the face.

SkI COnFIguRATIOnThe Scott Couloir meets all requirements for skiing activities in extreme conditions. An additional winter inner lining provides warmth and breathability, while the winter ear pads are designed for optimum hearing. PC IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION During The in-mold manufacturing process, the outer shell of polycarbonate material is fused with the helmet’s impact absorbent foam liner, creating a super lightweight outer shell. With reduced weight and bulk surrounding the head, in-mold helmets are more comfortable than traditional helmets.

THE SCOTT ACTIVE S-VENT SYSTEM The adjustable Scott Active S-Vent system channel air over and around the rider’s head removing stagnant air from the helmet. The vacuum effect created when the S-vents are open, is easily adjustable, allowing the rider to determine the right amount of airflow.

ABS CONSTRUCTION ABS construction provides optimal strength, shock absorption and maximum durability, while a unique and carefully engineered EPS liner provides comfort and added protection.

THE SCOTT G-VENT SYSTEMThe Scott G-Vent system is SCOTT’s most advanced helmet venting system. Intake vents placed on the helmet visor, just above the goggle, pull air through the goggle frame removing stagnant air, which causes goggle fogging. Air is then channeled to exhaust vents located on top of the helmet. The result is venting system that allows your goggle and helmet to breath more efficiently

BIOMEX TECHNOLOGY Scott helmets using BIOMEX Technology feature a structural inner Dual roll Band which provides protection on the front, side and rear, to increase the strength and integrity of the helmet. A new shock absorbing pad made from d3o ™ material has been added to the back of the inner lining providing ad-ditional protection from impacts to the back of the head.

THE SCOTT COOL PLUG SYSTEM The Scott Cool Plug is an innovative venting solution for progressive helmets. More than a common vent plug, the Scott Cool Plug is integrated on top of the helmet. By simply adjusting the Cool Plug inside the helmet, the right amount of airflow can easily be achieved. Exhaust ports remove stagnant air helping to circulate fresh air inside the helmet.
