Overview: During this is assignment you are tasked to create a ‘MashUp’ combining your skills with the bamboo tablets, your

new knowledge of photography and the image manipulation software Photoshop.

You will be studying the work of Dryden Goodwin a contemporary photographer.

To be successful in this assignment, you should recall and use methods and skills learnt during previous lessons.

There are 3 tasks required from you to complete this assignment:1 Choose a subject that you wish to use for your portrait photography.2 Take and edit a series of portrait photographs.3 Post/blog about your work.

Task: 1 Find/choose a suitable ‘subject’ to use for your work. You will have the opportunity to photograph in lessons; you

can either photograph a peer or choose to create a series of selfportraits. You may wish to develop your skillsfurther by photographing outside of lessons and explore a variety of backdrops and different locations for yourportraiture shoot.

Task: 2 Import your photographs straight from the camera into the iPhoto. Copy all of your images into your home area. Create a contact sheet and screenshot your photographs to post on your blog. With your new knowledge of photography and your teacher’s guidance, select your strongest 3 images to edit in

Photoshop. Explore the image manipulation tools in Photoshop to edit your images to emulate the style of Dryden Goodwin

Use the bamboo graphics tablet to add a new layer to your work and add new meaning. – Consider the impact of the lines youmake and how they affect your portrait.

Consider your use of colour and the specialist tools you choose to use with the drawing tablet to add detail to yourportraits.

Task: 3 When you have completed your photograph, export it as both a Photoshop file and a JPEG image and save them
