Power supplies, linecards, the RP, CSCs, SFCs,and alarm cards all supportOIR. Unless otherwisenoted, the maintenancetasks described in thischapter can be performedwhile the router remains

powered on.In some cases it may benecessary to power off therouter, for example, toupgrade both powersupplies and PDUs. Use thefollowing procedure to

power off the router.
