Biographies

Suzanne Collins, was born on August 10, 1962 in United States, she is an

author and screenwriter. She lives in Connecticut with Cap Prylor, her

husband is former navy captain and her sons, Charlie and Isabel. became

world famous thanks to her novel The Hunger Games, the first of a trilogy,

which was published in 2008 by Scholastic Press in the United States, and

Spain by Editorial Molino.

Summary It is a story about a poor after a war. Panem, is the place where the story

is divided into 12 districts. And no one can leave the district to which it

belongs. Capitol, who has all the power of Panem, a program organized by

television to humiliate the population, in which every year two

representatives from each district must fight each other until only one

survivor.

Katniss's little sister is chosen to play, then, Katniss is offered voluntarily

to save his sister, takes its place.

Katniss is the main character, lost her father and teen of only 16 years.

In games, the girl has to show strength but not easy for her because in the

middle of the story there is also love between her and Peeta.

At the end, as the rule of the games is that only one can survive, Katniss

and Peeta decide to commit suicide but do not at the end both win the

games.

The most important sentence to my:

Main characters Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist of 16 years old. She lives in a

region known as District 12 grain, which is the poorest part of the

district. She lives with her mother and sister, Primrose, whom she

calls simply "Prim". His father died before the beginning

of the story in a mining accident. She describes with dark hair, olive

skin and gray eyes.

Peeta Mellark is 16 years old, born in the richest part of the area son

of a baker. He has wavy blond hair and blue eyes. It is the male

tribute chosen to represent District 12. Saved Katniss's life

when they were younger with a custom bread when she was starving,

and has been in love with her since I saw her for the first time at 5

years in school, but never had the courage to reveal it to the Games.
