As I was parryingp u n c h e s f r o m a l lsides, I saw severaluniformed men com-ing—airport police-m e n a n d “ b l u e ”guards— and I triedto submit myself tothem.

I thought I wouldbe safe with the ar-rival of the police andthe security guards.

I was wrong.

The airline is alsonot friendly with itshandicapped passen-gers as they are madeto go down a flight ofstairs from the plane, walk a distance fromthe ramp to the termi-nal building, climb upto the second floor, and climb down to thecargo carousel.

I learned the air-line does not use theairbridge or tube tosave on expenses; thefee for using the tubea t Na i a 3 i s abou tP7,000, so I heard.

Using the tube ingetting into or out oft h e p l a n e i s m u c hmore convenient for apassenger as he or shedoesn ’ t have to godown several flightsof stairs.

I featured Cebu Pa-cific’s handling of pas-sengers and baggageon March 22 in thiscolumn several daysafter I arrived at theNaia 3 from DavaoCity on the airline’searly morning flight.

I said in that col-umn the reason theairline kept on givingits passengers ineffi-cient service was thatnobody seemed tocomplain.

SHOWBUZZ TUESDAY, MAY 8, 2012 5ROMEL M. LALATA, Editor

Friday and Andi doesn’t fre-quent that place.

Lacson and Arce refuse tocomment about the issue bi-lang advise ng kanilang mgalawyer. My sources told methat Frank Magalona was up-stairs busy partying withfriends while the beating tookplace downstairs. Si Carlos namanay nagbigay ng official state-ment : “I have no involvementwith the beating of Albie Casi-ño. I’ve never even met him. Iwas not even in Fiamma thatnight. I was at home. I haveproof of my whereabouts andif they need it they can contactme. I’d like a retraction andapology from the one accusingme.”

Sana next time, wag tayoagad mag-conclude kung walanaman tayo dun.

I feel for them.

Sabi pa ni Andi, “he’sthe one always threatening tokill me.”

And that’s just a very smallanecdote compared to whathorrible things Albie put herthrough during their time to-

gether.

Pangatlo:sinasabi n’yong respect yourprivacy? You're in an airport, apublic place. You're Claudineand Raymart, a very publiccouple.

Intrigue comes with theshowbiz territory.

That all-time record by “TheMaestro” Dalupan is definitelythere for the taking for Cone.

It looks really realistic at thispoint, compared to Tiger Woods’quest to win four more golfingMajors and overtake Jack Nick-laus’ lifetime haul of 18.

And Cone has Bowles andYap to thank for moving him astep closer.

The duo was practically allthat was left of B-Meg in thetoughest of times late in the se-ries with Yap keeping himselfcomposed to find Bowles in theshaded lane for a brilliant passthat eventually sent the 6-foot-10 import to the line to forgeovertime.

THERE was no doubt that B-Meg’s one-for-the-books tri-umph over gallant Talk ‘NText in the PBA Commission-er’s Cup title series Sundaynight was all about the play-ers, Denzel Bowles and JamesYap in particular.

By carrying the Llamados tothe epic win, Bowles and Yapcompleted their classy perfor-mance after also being namedthe Best Import and the Excel-roof-PBA Press Corps FinalsMVP, respectively.

So where does Tim Cone, theman who moved all the pieces, fit historically in all of this?

“I have only two goals in life, and I have made this no secret,”Cone told reporters, momentsafter the 14th title of his storiedcoaching career sunk in. “Mygoals are to catch Baby’s (Dalu-pan) record, and put my kidsthrough college.”

Dalupan, the charismaticmotivator who was the authorof the PBA’s first Grand Slamwith Crispa in 1976, is now justone title ahead of Cone, andTim has a formidable team inthe Llamados who look like theycould win a handful more.

Cone won his first 13 titleswith Alaska which, whetheranyone admits it or not, he leftbitterly before the start of theseason. It ended a partnership
