the greatest stress weapon against stress is our

ability to choose one thought over another .----

    WILLIAM JAMES

Communalism is a sheer term to describe any existing community at large. it

is often connoted negatively and is widely used in the world; such that it is

creating havoc since time immemorial. this is the key reason for many

malpractices going on in the world. communalism is sheltered in several

nations who simultaneously are claimants of being a secular state. an

exemplar would be: the world's largest democracy, whose preamble houses

the term 'secular' whilst depressingly boasts of commnalism throughout.

kenya suggested , that the maority christian population targets the minority

muslims, especially women and children to hassle them; which increases the

rate of sexual harassment, tra!ckking etc. in the country.

Communalism as we perceive today, has played a signi!cant part in the

development and continuance of terrorism in the world. "he recent #$#$

attack on %rance is a classic example of the same.

&reece during the session, precisely pointed out that even after more than

sixty years of #ndependence, #ndia couldnt do much to eradicate the litters

of communalism residing in its folds. "o this, #ndia defended itself stating that

for a diverse country like itself, it is a complex task to formulate a Civil(rocedure Code. )lso, it a*rmed that the preceding sixty years have

    observed a commendable progress.

+rail declared that selection of labour is done on the basis of religion, which

leaves many unemployed. "his leads to osetting of the market, disbalance

in the economy of the country and communal riots.

%urther, #ndia avowed that communalism leads to hindrance of import and

export, along with spoilage of labour market.

)s #ndia couldnt have agreed more to the words of illiam /ames, wherein

india stated that a child must be educated of 0eligion to choose for himself,

and the child needn't choose one over another.
