Up to 20% of people are estimated to have a Specific Learning Disorder

(SLD) such as dyslexia.

Many people have heard of dyslexia, but are unaware

of other SLDs that can impact people just as much!

“I could be anyone”

SLDs are sometimes referred to as

‘hidden disabilities’ because often

it’s not obvious someone has one.

“If you’re going to judge the

cover, you better

read the book”

People joke they have ‘dyslexia’

when they misspell a word,

but is that all dyslexia is?

Actually, SLD affects a person’s

reading, writing, spelling,

organisational skills

and memory.

But that doesn’t mean

they aren’t smart!

They just learn differently!

Because people with SLD

learn differently

they think differently too,

a real asset!

In fact people with dyslexia

are know to be creative,

entrepreneurial, intuitive,

problem solvers that are

big picture, 3D thinkers.
