Strategicky dôležitou súčasťou slo-venskej ekonomiky, osobitne jej energe-tického sektora, je preprava a skladova-nie ropy, čo tvorí core business akciovejspoločnosti Transpetrol.

Preprava ropy zohráva kľúčovú pozí-ciu v hospodárení Transpetrolu, nakoľkopríjem z tejto činnosti tvorí rozhodujúcučasť jeho výnosov. Počínajúc rokom1996 spoločnosť zaznamenala klesajú-ci trend v objeme prepravovanej ropy.Čiastočný obrat nastal až v roku 2001,keď množstvo prepravenej ropy v porov-naní s predchádzajúcim rokom vzrástloo 2,9 %, t. j. o 277 929 ton. Celoročnýobjem prepravenej ropy v uplynulom roku predstavoval9 551 465 ton.

Druhou rozhodujúcou súčasťou podnikateľskej čin-nosti Transpetrolu je skladovanie ropy. Okrem skladova-nia ropy pre hlavných odberateľov, ktorými sú na Slo-vensku Slovnaft a v Českej republike Paramo a Českárafinérska, Transpetrol zabezpečuje skladovanie ropy ajpre Štátne hmotné rezervy.

Sústredenú pozornosť vedenie spoločnosti venovaloochrane a tvorbe životného prostredia. V súčasnosti jecelá trasa slovenského ropovodu kontrolovaná telemet-rickým systémom. Do prevádzky sme uviedli pilotný pro-jekt ropovodného informačného systému, ktorý umožníriadiacim pracovníkom pružne rozhodovať najmä v kritic-kých a havarijných situáciách.

Pre upevnenie konkurenčnej schopnosti Transpetro-lu je mimoriadne dôležitá úroveň riadenia spoločnosti.V riadiacej činnosti vrcholového manažmentu prevládastrategický prístup k rozvoju spoločnosti. V roku 2001 nazáklade certifikačného auditu bol Transpetrolu udelenýcertifikát podľa ISO 14001, a to bez výhrad, pre celýropovodný systém SR. Transpetrol sa tak stal prvou spo-ločnosťou v strednej Európe, ktorá má registrovanú pre-pravnú líniu ropy podľa tejto medzinárodne uznávanejnormy. Certifikát na zhodu s ISO 14001 bol udelený, akoprvým v rámci Slovenska, aj všetkým čerpacím staniciampohonných hmôt, ktorých vlastníkom bol Transpetrol.

Transpetrol má za sebou rok bohatý na viacerovýznamných udalostí. Oslávili sme 10. výročie vznikuakciovej spoločnosti, ktorá bola založená 1. júla 1991.Za desať rokov svojej existencie si Transpetrol vybudovalpovesť seriózneho obchodného partnera.

Pre budúce smerovanie Transpetrolu malo zásadnývýznam rozhodnutie vlády SR o spôsobe privatizácie 49-percentného podielu Transpetrolu a vyhlásenie

A strategically important componentof the Slovak economy, in particular ofits energy sector, is the transport andstorage of crude oil, which forms thecore business of Transpetrol joint-stockcompany.

The transport of crude oil plays a keyrole in the economy of Transpetrol itself,since the income from this activity formsthe decisive part of its revenues. Startingfrom 1996, the company has registereda decreasing trend in the volume oftransported oil. A partial turnabout onlyoccurred in 2001, when the amount oftransported oil increased by 2.9 per cent

in comparison with the previous year, i. e. by 277 929metric tons. The volume of oil transported last yearrepresented 9 551 465 metric tons.

The second decisive part of Transpetrol business isstorage of oil. Apart from storing oil for the maincustomers, which are Slovnaft in Slovakia, Paramo andČeská rafinérska in the Czech Republic, Transpetrolprovides oil storage for the State Reserve Stocks. The company's management pays constant attention tocreating and protecting the environment. At present thewhole length of the Slovak oil pipeline is controlled bya telemetric system. A pilot project of oil pipelineinformation system was put into operation, enabling themanagerial staff to make flexible decisions, in particularshould any critical or emergency situations occur.

In order to improve the competitiveness ofTranspetrol, the level of management of the company isof special importance. In the managing activity of the topmanagement it is the strategic approach to thedevelopment of the company that prevails. In 2001, onthe basis of a certification audit, Transpetrol received theISO 14001 certificate, without any reservations, for thewhole pipeline system in the Slovak Republic. ThusTranspetrol became the first company in Central Europeto have registered its transport line for oil under thisinternationally recognised standard. The ISO 14001certificate was also granted to all the petrol stationsowned by Transpetrol, as the first ones in Slovakia.

For Transpetrol the year was rich in important events.We celebrated the tenth anniversary of theestablishment of the joint-stock company, which wasestablished on 1 July 1991. In the ten years of itsexistence Transpetrol has gained a reputation ofa reliable business partner.

However, what was of utmost importance for the

medzinárodného tendra na jeho predaj. V stanovenomtermíne predbežné ponuky predložilo šesť spoločností,ktorým v nadväznosti na to Medzirezortná komisia preprivatizáciu umožnila vykonať hĺbkový audit (due dili-gence). Záväzné ponuky na kúpu 49 % akcií Transpetro-lu nakoniec predložili iba dve spoločnosti – slovenskárafinéria Slovnaft a druhý najväčší ropný koncernv Rusku – Yukos.

Vláda SR na základe vyhodnotenia oboch ponúk19. 12. 2001 schválila odpredaj akcií štátu v a.s. Trans-petrol ruskej spoločnosti Yukos.

Podmienkami privatizácie štátneho podielu bol ajodpredaj siete 13 čerpacích staníc pohonných hmôta 21, 24-percentného podielu Transpetrolu vo VSŽ.

Víťazom tendra na predaj 100 percent akcií dcérskejspoločnosti Transpetrol Trading, do ktorej boli čerpaciestanice prevedené, sa stala spoločnosť OMV Slovensko.

Koncom minulého roka sa na základe rozhodnutia100-percentného akcionára – Ministerstva hospodár-stva SR – uskutočnil predaj nášho podielu vo VSŽ pro-stredníctvom verejného trhu s cennými papiermi.

V roku 2001 zmenila na základe rozhodnutia vládySR vlastnícku štruktúru aj ďalšia dcérska spoločnosť –Transtel. Táto spravovala optickú sieť Transpetrolua stala sa základom novovytvorenej telekomunikačnejspoločnosti Energotel.

Vstupom strategického investora – ruského naftové-ho gigantu Yukos – do spoločnosti Transpetrol sa vytvo-rili nebývalé možnosti na jej ďalší rozvoj. Očakáva sapredovšetkým posilnenie medzinárodného postaveniaTranspetrolu a zvýšenie jeho konkurencieschopnostiv oblasti tranzitu ropy. Zvýšením objemu prepravovanejropy budú rásť ekonomické výsledky Transpetrolu, upev-ní sa jeho finančná stabilita a objektívne tým vzrastie ajhodnota majetkového podielu štátu v Transpetrole.

Rok 2001 bol pre Transpetrol úspešný nielen z hľa-diska dosiahnutých hospodárskych výsledkov, ale prinie-sol aj významné zmeny vo vlastníckych pomeroch spoloč-nosti a predznamenal jej nové strategické smerovanie.

future orientation of Transpetrol was the decision of theSlovak government about the method of privatisation of49 per cent stake in Transpetrol and the invitation forinternational tender for its sale. Six companies submittedpreliminary offers within the set time limit, andsubsequently the Interdepartmental PrivatisationCommission enabled them to carry out due diligence. Inthe end only two companies submitted binding offers tobuy 49 per cent of the Transpetrol shares - the Slovakrefinery Slovnaft and the second largest oil concern inRussia - Yukos.

After assessing both bids, on 19 December 2001 theSlovak government approved the sale of the stake of theState in Transpetrol to the Russian company Yukos.

The conditions for the privatisation of the stake of theState included the sales of a network of 13 petrolstations and of the 21.24 per cent stake of Transpetrol inVSŽ ironworks.

The winner of the tender for selling 100 per cent ofthe shares of the subsidiary Transpetrol Trading, to whichthe petrol stations had been transferred, was thecompany OMV Slovensko.

At the end of last year, by a decision of a 100 per centshareholder, the Ministry of the Economy, our share inVSŽ was sold on the public securities market.

In 2001, a decision of the Slovak government changedthe ownership structure of another subsidiary - Transtel.This subsidiary used to manage Transpetrol's opticalnetwork and it became the basis of a newly establishedtelecommunications company Energotel.

The entry of strategic investor – the Russian oil giantYukos – into Transpetrol has created unprecedentedpossibilities for its further development. Above all theinternational position of Transpetrol is expected to bestrengthened and its competitiveness in the transit of oilto be improved. By increasing the volume of transportedoil, the profit of Transpetrol will increase, its financialstability will be strengthened and thus objectively thevalue of the stake of the State in Transpetrol will grow too.

The year 2001 was successful for Transpetrol notonly in terms of the profit achieved, but it has alsobrought significant changes in the company's ownershipand has heralded its new strategic orientation.

Hlavným poslaním akciovej spoločnosti Transpet-rol, ako jediného prevádzkovateľa ropovodnéhosystému v Slovenskej republike, je tranzitná a vnútro-štátna preprava ropy a jej skladovanie pre svojichodberateľov a pre Štátne hmotné rezervy, v čom mámonopolné postavenie. K jej hospodárskym aktivitámpatrilo aj prevádzkovanie čerpacích staníc pohonnýchhmôt a obchodná činnosť spojená s poskytovanímverejných telekomunikačných služieb a s výstavbouverejnej telekomunikačnej infraštruktúry. Jej ekono-mické výsledky sú v rozhodujúcej miere závislé oddopytu po rope a následne od realizovaného objemuprepravenej ropy.

Jediným odberateľom ropy na Slovensku je rafiné-ria Slovnaft. Objem jej ročného odberu ropy je už nie-koľko rokov na približne rovnakej úrovni. Podľa našichprognóz sa v dôsledku využívania nových progresív-nych technológií a vyššieho zhodnotenia ropy pri jejfinálnom spracovaní nedá očakávať, že by v Slovnaftedošlo v dohľadnom čase k zvýšeniu odberu ropy.V minulom roku sme Slovnaftu dodali 5 340 905 tonropy, čo z hľadiska využiteľnosti prepravnej kapacityslovenského úseku ropovodu Družba je o niečo viacako jedna štvrtina jeho celkovej kapacity.

Významnú úlohu z hľadiska realizovaných tržieba využívania prepravnej kapacity nášho ropovoduzohrávajú rafinérie v Českej republike – Česká rafinér-ska a Paramo, hoci počínajúc rokom 1996 objemprepravovanej ropy do ČR má klesajúcu tendenciu. Jeto predovšetkým v dôsledku diverzifikácie importuropy v ČR, a to využívaním prepravných kapacítnemeckého ropovodu IKL, ktorý nadväzuje na ropo-vod TAL vedúci z talianskeho prístavu Terst,a v dôsledku modernizácie českých rafinérií, nakoľkoefektivita nových výrobných procesov, ktoré zaviedli,umožňuje vyrobiť väčšie množstvo ropných produktovpri vstupe rovnakého množstva ropy. V roku 2001sme do Českej republiky dodali 3 784 620 ton ropy,čo oproti minulému roku je viac o 146 566 ton. Aniu českých odberateľov sa nedá prognózovať v krátkejbudúcnosti zvýšený odber ropy.

Mierne zvýšenie odberu ropy sme zaznamenali aju ostatných odberateľov. V roku 2001 sme im doda-li 425 940 ton ropy, čo je o 113 475 ton viac akov roku 2000.

The main mission of joint-stock companyTranspetrol, as the only operator of oil pipeline systemin the Slovak Republic, is transit and inland transport ofcrude oil and its storage for the customers and for theState Reserve Stocks, in which it holds a monopoly. Itsbusiness activities also used to include operating petrolstations and commercial activity related to the provisionof public telecommunications services and building ofpublic telecommunications infrastructure. Its profit toa decisive extent depends on the demand for oil and thesubsequent volume of transported oil.

The only customer for oil in Slovakia is the Slovnaftoil refinery. The annual volume of oil it buys has beenstable for several years, remaining at approximately thesame level. According to our forecasts, due to the use ofnew progressive technologies and better finalprocessing of the oil, it cannot be expected that in thenear future the amount of oil bought will increase. Lastyear we supplied 5 340 905 metric tons of crude oil toSlovnaft, which in terms of using the transport capacityof the Slovak stretch of the Družba pipeline is slightlymore than one fourth of its overall capacity.

An important role in terms of sales achieved and theuse of the transport capacity of our pipeline is played byoil refineries in the Czech Republic - Česká rafinérskaand Paramo, although starting from 1996 the volume ofoil transported to the Czech Republic has showna downward trend. This is above all due to diversificationof oil imports in the Czech Republic by using thetransport capacities of the German IKL pipeline which islinked to the TAL pipeline leading from the Italian port ofTrieste, and also due to modernisation at the Czechrefineries, since the efficiency of the new productionprocesses which they have introduced makes it possibleto produce a larger amount of oil products from thesame amount of crude oil as an input. In 2001 wesupplied 3 784 620 metric tons of oil to the CzechRepublic, which is more by 146 566 metric tons than inthe previous year. With the Czech customers we cannotforecast an increased buying of oil in the near futureeither.

We have recorded a slight increase in the purchaseof oil by the other customers too. In 2001 we deliveredto them 425 940 metric tons of oil, which is more by113 475 metric tons than in 2000.

In total in 2001 joint-stock company Transpetroltransported for its customers 9 551 465 metric tonsof oil.

Preprava ropy sa v roku 2001 zvýšila v porovnanís predchádzajúcim rokom o 2,9 %. Dodávky ropy prejednotlivé rafinérie sa realizovali na základe zmluvnedohodnutých ročných objemov a v požadovaných ter-mínoch.

Slovenský ropovodný systém pozostáva z dvochropovodov. Ropovod Družba na území Slovenskejrepubliky bol vybudovaný v rokoch 1960 – 61 a prváropa ním pretiekla od ukrajinských hraníc do Slovnaf-tu v Bratislave 3. februára 1962. Jeho trasa sa začínav Ruskej federácii a pokračuje cez Bielorusko, Ukrajinua Slovensko do Českej republiky.

Celková dĺžka ropovodu Družba mimo územiaSR je 2 280 km a na Slovensku meria vyše 506,6km, pričom takmer po celej slovenskej trase jevybudované zdvojené potrubie. Prepravná kapacitaslovenského úseku ropovodu Družba je 21 mil.ton/rok, ale v súčasnosti sa využíva ani nie z polo-vice. Druhým ropovodom je Adria. Bol vybudovanýkvôli prípadnej diverzifikácii zdrojov ropy a do pre-vádzky bol uvedený v roku 1980. Začína sa v chor-vátskom prístave Omišalj, pokračuje cez Chorvát-sko a Maďarsko a po prekonaní 606 km prechádzana územie Slovenska, kde jeho dĺžka predstavuje8,5 km. The transport of oil in 2001 increased incomparison with the previous year by 2.9 per cent. Thedeliveries of oil for the individual refineries were carriedout on the basis of annual volumes agreed by contractsand at the time required.

The Slovak oil pipeline system consists of two oilpipelines. The Družba pipeline in the territory of Slovakiawas built in the years 1960 - 61 and the first oil flowedthrough it from the Ukrainian border to Slovnaft inBratislava on 3 February 1962. Its route starts in theRussian Federation and continues through Belorussia,Ukraine and Slovakia to the Czech Republic.

The total length of the Družba pipeline outside theterritory of Slovakia is 2 280 km and within Slovakia itmeasures over 506.6 km, where almost the wholeSlovak segment is made up of a double line. Thetransport capacity of the Slovak stretch of the Družbapipeline is 21 million metric tons per year, however, atpresent it is only used by less than a half. The secondpipeline is Adria, which was built to achievediversification of sources of oil and put in operation in1980. It starts in the Croatian port of Omišalj, continuesthrough Croatia and Hungary and after covering 606 kmit enters the territory of Slovakia, where it is 8.5 km long.In Šahy-Tupá it is linked to the Družba pipeline. ba. Jeho ročná kapacita je 4,5 mil. ton/rok, ale natrase od Chorvátska do SR sa už dlhšiu dobu nevy-užíva. Slúži iba na transport ruskej ropy do Maďar-ska a Chorvátska.

Slovenský ropovodný systém má výhodnú pozíciuv sieti európskych ropovodov. Jeho výborná geografic-ká poloha a relatívne veľká prepravná kapacita, umož-ňujúca tranzit ropy oboma smermi, perspektívnevytvára reálne predpoklady na jeho napojenie sa nanovovytvorené tranzitné cesty najmä po uvedení do

prevádzky ropovodu Odesa – Brody. Využitím týchtovýhod sa v budúcnosti dá reálne predpokladať až dvoj-násobný nárast objemu prepravovanej ropy, čím savýrazne upevní konkurenčná schopnosť Transpetroluna európskych ropných trhoch a zásadne sa zvýši ajvýznam Slovenska, ako tranzitnej krajiny ropy nielenpre Českú republiku, ale aj pre štáty západnej Európy.

The Slovak pipeline system has an advantageousposition within the network of European pipelines. Itsexcellent geographical position and a relatively hightransport capacity, making possible the transport of oilin both directions, creates future realistic conditions forlinking it up to newly created transit routes, especially

after the Odesa – Brody pipeline is put into operation. Byusing these advantages a real future growth of thevolume of transported oil can be anticipated up to twice the present volume, which will boost thecompetitiveness of Transpetrol in the European oilmarkets, thus also increasing the importance ofSlovakia as a transit country for oil not only for the CzechRepublic, but also for Western European countries.

Apart from the transit of oil, important role within thebusiness activity of Transpetrol is played by the storageof oil. In the last five years Transpetrol investedapproximately 2.5 billion Slovak crowns in building

520-tisíc kubických metrov a prevažná časť zodpove-dá prísnym vnútroštátnym legislatívnym požiadavkám,ale aj európskym štandardom, hlavne v oblasti tvorbya ochrany životného prostredia. Okrem operatívnehopreskladnenia ropy pre obchodných partnerov zásob-níky slúžia aj na skladovanie ropy pre Štátne hmotnérezervy. V roku 2001 podľa operatívnych požiadaviekodberateľov sa uskutočnilo preskladnenie ropy v obje-me 24 897 203 tonodní, čo sa pozitívne odzrkadlilo ajv ekonomickom prínose pre spoločnosť.

Podľa našich právnych predpisov a požiadaviekEurópskej únie sa počíta s postupným zvyšovanímobjemov skladovanej ropy pre Štátne hmotné rezervy.Do roku 2008 majú zodpovedať úrovni 90-dňovej spo-treby ropy a ropných produktov. Ďalšími investíciamido budovania zásobníkov sa plánuje dosiahnuť poža-dovanú úroveň v priebehu 5 – 6 rokov.

V posledných rokoch boli výnosy zo skladovaniaropy relatívne nízke, približne na rovnakej úrovni.V roku 2001 dosiahli čiastku 55 160 tis. Sk. Vzhľadomna očakávané zvyšovanie objemu skladovanej ropypre Štátne hmotné rezervy sa počíta v budúcnostis nárastom príjmov aj z tejto činnosti.

Transpetrol, a.s., venoval sústavnu pozornosť ajzvyšovaniu bezpečnosti a spoľahlivosti prevádzkyropovodov. V úzkej súčinnosti s externými odbornýmiorganizáciami pokračoval v realizácii rozvojového pro-gramu spoločnosti, v modernizácii technickýcha technologických zariadení, najmä realizovanímopatrení na upevnenie stability ropovodných potrubív miestach podchodov vodných tokov, zosuvnéhoúzemia a nadzemných úsekov ponad strže a rokliny.Uskutočnila sa vnútorná inšpekcia ropovodnéhopotrubia a na základe jej výsledkov bol vypracovanýplán opráv potrubí. Pokračovala rekonštrukcia a opra-vy katódovej ochrany ropovodov s cieľom dosiahnuťpožadované parametre ochrany potrubí v meniacichsa podmienkach ich uloženia.

V rámci diverzifikačných akcií bola v priebehu roka2001 ukončená výstavba čerpacej stanice pohonnýchhmôt Michalovce, ktorá rozšírila počet čerpacích stanícvo vlastníctve a.s. Transpetrol na trinásť. RozhodnutímPredstavenstva spoločnosti z apríla 2001 bol ukončenýprogram rozvoja čerpacích staníc v podmienkacha.s. Transpetrol. V druhej polovici roku 2001 bol vypí-saný tender na predaj stopercentného podielu akciídcérskej spoločnosti Transpetrol Trading. Víťazomtendra sa stala spoločnosť OMV Slovensko, s.r.o.

The present capacity of the oil storagetanks amounts to 520 thousand cubic metres anda majority of them correspond to the strict domesticlegislative requirements, as well as to Europeanstandards, in particular their environmental aspects.Apart from operative storage of oil for commercialpartners, the storage tanks serve to store oil for theState Reserve Stocks. In 2001, in accordance withoperative requirements of the customers, 24 897 203ton-days of oil were stored, which was positivelyreflected in the company's economy.

Our legal regulations and the European Unionrequirements anticipate a gradual increase of thevolume of oil stored for the State Reserve Stocks. By2008 they should equal 90-day consumption of oil andoil products. The required level is planned to beachieved by further investment in the building of storagetanks in the course of five to six years.

In the last years the revenue from storage of oil hasbeen relatively low, remaining at approximately thesame level. In 2001 it amounted to SKK 55 160thousands. With regard to the expected increase in thestorage of oil for State Reserve Stocks an increase ofrevenue from this activity is anticipated for the future.

Transpetrol has been paying constant attention toimproving the safety and reliability of the pipelines'operation. In close co-ordination with externalprofessional organisations the company has continuedin implementing its development programme,modernising the technical and technologicalequipment, above all by implementing measures forstrengthening the stability of the pipeline in placeswhere it goes under streams, through territory prone tolandslides and segments above abysses and crevasses.An internal inspection of the pipeline has been carriedout, on the basis of which a plan of pipe repair has beenprepared. Reconstruction and repair of the cathodicprotection of the pipelines has continued, aimed atachieving the required parameters for the protection ofpipes in changing conditions of their placing.

As a part of diversification activities in the course of2001, the construction of Michalovce petrol station wasfinished, thus extending the number of petrol stationsowned by Transpetrol to thirteen. The Decision of thecompany's Board of Directors in April 2001 ended theprogramme of developing petrol stations within theTranspetrol joint-stock company. In the second half of2001 a tender was invited for the sale of a 100 per cent

Vyznačoval sa ďalším rozvo-jom optickej infraštruktúry, ktorá bola v súbehu s ropo-vodom úspešne dobudovaná až po hranicu s Ukraji-nou a realizáciou ďalšej časti transportného systémuSDH o prenosovej kapacite 2,5 Gbit/s.

V priebehu roka 2001 došlo k ďalšiemu rozvojumiestnej optickej siete v Bratislave a k prepojeniuoptickej infraštruktúry s optickými trasami zahranič-ných telekomunikačných operátorov v Rakúskua Maďarsku, čím sa získali dôležité predpoklady naposkytovanie kvalitných prenosových kapacít pre ďal-šie komerčné zhodnotenie na medzinárodnej úrovniprostredníctvom dcérskej spoločnosti Transtel, a.s.

Spoločnosť Transtel, ktorá od roku 2000 pôsobilana poli telekomunikačných služieb ako samostatnýprávny subjekt so zameraním na obchodné zabezpe-čenie prenájmu dátových prenosov koncovému zákaz-níkovi, bola v roku 2001 pretransformovaná na spo-

In 2001 the process of building the company's owntelecommunications facilities using transmission overoptical fibre continued. The optical infrastructure wasfurther developing, successfully reaching the Ukrainianborder in parallel with the pipeline, and implementinganother part of SDH transport system with a transmissioncapacity of 2.5 Gbit/s.

In the course of 2001 the local optical network inBratislava underwent further development and the opticalinfrastructure was linked to optical routes of foreigntelecommunications operators in Austria and Hungary,thus creating conditions for providing high-qualitytransmission capacities for further commercial use at theinternational level through the Transtel, a.s. subsidiary.

The company Transtel, which since 2000 was anindependent legal entity in telecommunicationsservices focusing on the commercial provision of hireof data transmission to the end users, wastransformed in 2001 to a joint venture set up by

ločný podnik, ktorý vytvorili akciové spoločnosti Trans-petrol, SPP, Slovenské elektrárne a Energetické závo-dy. Pod novým názvom Energotel, a.s., začal svoju čin-nosť v telekomunikačných sieťach s ambíciou stať sasilným alternatívnym operátorom v poskytovaní tele-komunikačných služieb.

V súčasnosti a.s. Transpetrol stojí pred úlohouprispôsobiť prevádzku a ďalší rozvoj telekomunikačné-ho systému tak, aby zabezpečil nároky na prenos dátu vlastných informačných a riadiacich systémova zároveň dosiahol potrebnú mieru súladu so strate-gickými zámermi a pokryl kapacitné potreby a.s. Ener-gotel. Uvedené predpokladá vykonať nevyhnutnéúpravy v centrálnom riadení siete, organizačné pri-spôsobenie a korekciu v plánoch ďalšieho rozvojatelekomunikačnej infraštruktúry.

Výrazným podielom pozitívne ovplyvnila hospo-dársky výsledok spoločnosti za rok 2001 výplata divi-dend a predaj 21,24 % podielu akcií Transpetrolu voVSŽ, ktorý sa uskutočnil na Burze cenných papierov zapredajnú cenu 160,- Sk za jednu akciu. Pre Transpet-rol spolu s vyplatenými dividendami v roku 2001 toprinieslo zisk vo výške 333 mil. Sk a takmer dvojná-sobné zvýšenie plánovaného hospodárskeho výsled-ku, pred zdanením.

Základné imanie a.s. Transpetrol je 1,9 mld. Sk a cel-kove jeho aktíva v roku 2001 predstavujú 8,611 mld. Sk.

Najvýznamnejšou udalosťou uplynulého roka preTranspetrol bol vstup strategického partnera do spo-ločnosti. Stala sa ním ruská naftová spoločnosťYukos, ktorá za 74 mil. USD odkúpila 49 % akcií štátuv a.s. Transpetrol. Tým sa pre Transpetrol otvorili novémožnosti ďalšieho technického a ekonomickéhonapredovania.

Transpetrol joint-stock company, SPP gas utility,Slovenské elektrárne electricity producer andelectricity distribution companies. It started its activityunder the new name Energotel a. s., with an ambitionto become a major alternative operator providingtelecommunications services.

At present Transpetrol is facing the task of adjustingthe operation and further development of thetelecommunications system in such a way as to meet therequirements for data transmission in thecompany's own information and management systemsand at the same time achieve the necessary compliancewith the strategic intentions and cover the capacityneeds of Energotel a. s. This entails the necessaryadjustment in the central management of the network,organisational change and correction in the plans offurther development of the telecommunicationsinfrastructure.

The company's profit for 2001 was toa considerable extent positively influenced by thedividend payment and the sales of 21.24 per cent of theshares of Transpetrol in VSŽ, which was conducted onthe Stock Exchange at a selling price of SKK 160 pershare. Together with the dividends paid in 2001 thisbrought in profit of SKK 333 million and an almostdouble increase of the planned profit before tax.

The registered capital of Transpetrol, a. s. is SKK 1.9billion and the total assets in 2001 represent SKK8.611 billion.

The most important event of last year for Transpetrolwas the entry of a strategic partner into the company.This was the Russian oil company Yukos, which bought49 per cent of State's shares in Transpetrol for USD 74million. This has opened new opportunities forTranspetrol's further technical and economic progress.

Main Business Activities


V oblasti ochrany a tvorby životného prostredia sav roku 2001 uskutočnili plánované ekologické opatre-nia na líniovej časti ropovodu. V súčasnosti je celátrasa ropovodu kontrolovaná telemetrickým systémoma patrí k najmodernejším v Európe. Do prevádzky boluvedený i pilotný projekt Ropovodného informačnéhosystému, ktorý zvýši bezpečnosť a spoľahlivosť pre-vádzkovania ropovodov. Jeho hlavným prínosom jeumožniť rýchle a profesionálne rozhodovanie riadiacichpracovníkov v kritických a havarijných situáciách.

Do skúšobnej prevádzky bol uvedený tiež Mana-žérsky informačný systém, ktorý poskytuje manažmen-tu na všetkých stupňoch riadenia komplexné informá-cie o prevádzkovej, personálnej i ekonomickej situáciiv spoločnosti.

V roku 2001 sa pokračovalo v likvidácii a odstraňo-vaní starých ekologických záťaží na trase ropovoduv oblasti Čaňa-Gyňov a na prečerpávacích staniciachBudkovce a Moldava nad Bodvou. Podľa uzatvorenýchzmlúv ich likvidácia sa ukončí v roku 2003.

V máji 2001 švajčiarska spoločnosť SQS vykona-la v spoločnosti certifikačný audit podľa ISO 14001a Transpetrolu udelila certifikát EMS. V závere rokasa uskutočnilo prvé preskúmanie spoločnosti podľanormy ISO 9001:2000 QMS a Transpetrol sa pripra-vuje na audit podľa uvedenej normy, ktorý by sa malvykonať v polovici roku 2002.

Budovanie a rozvíjanie EMS/QMS v spoločnosti Transpetrol

Preskúmanie MS a.s. Transpetrol sa vykonávav súlade s normami STN EN ISO 14001, kapitola 4.6.a STN EN ISO 9001, kapitola 5.6. Vypracovalo sapodľa MP RKGR 1/2002 s cieľom prezentácie a prvé-ho preskúmania v rámci certifikačného auditu QMS.

Systém environmentálneho manažérstva smev a.s. Transpetrol zaviedli a rozvíjame ho na základeschválenej koncepcie budovania EMS a v súlade s roz-hodnutím vedenia spoločnosti z novembra 1999.Keďže v ISO normách radu 14001 rovnako ako v ISOnormách radu 9000 sa nachádza množstvo identic-kých kritérií manažérskych postupov – obe normybudujú na rovnakých princípoch systémov manažmen-tu – porada GR v decembri 2000 uznesením rozhodlapripravovanú certifikáciu a.s. Transpetrol podľa STNEN ISO 14001 rozšíriť o certifikáciu systému riadenia

Within the protection of the environment in 2001,the planned ecological measures on the line part of thepipeline were carried out. At present the whole length ofthe pipeline is controlled by a telemetric system and isamong the most modern in Europe. The pilot projectPipeline Information System, which will increase thesafety and reliability of the pipelines' operation, wasalso put in operation. Its main contribution is fast andprofessional decision-making of the managerial staff incritical and emergency situations.

The Management Information System was also putin trial operation, providing the management at alllevels with comprehensive information about thecompany's operational, personnel and economicsituation.

In 2001 the disposal and removal of old ecologicalburdens on the route of the pipeline near Čaňa-Gyňovand the Budkovce and Moldava nad Bodvou pumpingstations continued. In accordance with the signedcontracts their disposal will be finished in 2003.

In May 2001 Swiss company SQS carried outISO 14 001 certification audit and grantedTranspetrol the EMS certificate. At the end of theyear the first ISO 9001:2000 review was carried outand Transpetrol is getting ready for an audit inaccordance with this standard, which should becarried out in mid-2002.

Building and developing EMS/QMS in Transpetrol

The MS review of Transpetrol is carried out inaccordance with STN EN ISO 14001, Chapter 4.6 andSTN EN ISO 9001, Chapter 5.6. It was prepared inaccordance with MP RKGR 1/2002, with an aim ofpresentation and first review within the QMScertification audit.

The Environmental Management System wasintroduced in Transpetrol and has been developed onthe basis of approved policy of building EMS and in linewith the decision of the company's management ofNovember 1999. Since the ISO standards of the14001 series as well as ISO standards of the 9000series contain a number of identical criteria ofmanagement procedures - both standards are basedon the same principles of management systems - themeeting of the Managing Director in December 2000

V súlade s harmonogramom prípravy spoločnostina certifikáciu švajčiarska audítorská spoločnosť SQSv máji 2001 uskutočnila certifikačný audit a.s. Trans-petrol. Správa z auditu konštatovala, že systém envi-ronmentálneho manažérstva je v a.s. Transpetrol zave-dený dôkladne a na vysokej úrovni. Certifikačný auditv a.s. Transpetrol nezistil žiadne slabé miesta v zave-denom systéme environmentálneho riadenia v oblastidopravy a skladovania ropy a audítor navrhol udeliťa.s. Transpetrol certifikát na zhodu s ISO 14001 preropovodný prepravný a skladovací systém bez akých-koľvek výhrad.

Environmentálna politika a.s. Transpetrol, vyhlá-sená v máji 2000, bola vo februári 2001 prehodnote-ná v zmysle pripomienok externého audítora a uprave-ná v súlade s rozhodnutím vedenia spoločnostio zapojení 12 čerpacích staníc pohonných hmôt a.s.Transpetrol do procesu certifikácie EMS. Na základevyhodnotenia adekvátnosti environmentálnej politikykonštatujeme, že environmentálna politika a.s. Trans-petrol je v súlade s charakterom činností a služiebTranspetrolu, ich rozsahom a prípadným dopadom naživotné prostredie.

Politika kvality a.s. Transpetrol bola vyhlásenáv auguste 2001. V novembri 2001, v rámci predcertifi-kačného auditu QMS, sa konštatoval jej súlad s požia-davkami normy ISO 9001:2000. Politika kvality a.s.Transpetrol zdôrazňuje prioritu neustále zlepšovaťslužby poskytované zákazníkom, ako aj uspokojovaťpotreby vlastných zamestnancov, zlepšovať celkovúvýkonnosť spoločnosti zavádzaním moderných tech-nológií a inováciami technologických zariadení i spolu-práce s verejnými a štátnymi inštitúciami. Na základevyhodnotenia adekvátnosti politiky kvality konštatuje-me, že politika kvality a.s. Transpetrol je primeranácharakteru činností a služieb, ktoré spoločnosť posky-tuje, vyjadruje pochopenie potrieb všetkých zaintere-sovaných strán a celej organizácii poskytuje smerk viditeľne očakávaným výsledkom.

decided in a Resolution to extend the planned STN ENISO 14001 certification of Transpetrol by QualityManagement System certification in accordance withISO 9001:2000. Orders of the Managing Director Nos.1/2001 and 7/2001 - Management Systems -extended and modified the obligations of theauthorised representative of top management for EMS,the EMS secretary, the EMS specialist and members ofthe EMS Steering Committee by issues related to QMS.

In May 2001, in line with the timetable of preparingTranspetrol for certification, the Swiss auditingcompany SQS carried out the certification audit. Theaudit report stated that the EnvironmentalManagement System in Transpetrol was thoroughlyintroduced and is on a high level. The certification auditdid not detect any weak points in the introducedEnvironmental Management System in oil transportand storage and the auditor proposed grantingTranspetrol ISO 14001 certificate for the pipelinetransport and storage system without any reservations.

Transpetrol's Environmental Policy, declared in May2000, was reviewed in February 2001 in accordancewith the comments of the external auditor and modifiedin line with the decision of the management on including12 petrol stations in the EMS certification process. Afterassessing the adequacy of the Environmental Policy wecan say that it is in line with the character of its activitiesand services, their scope and their potential impact onthe environment.

Transpetrol's Quality Policy was declared in August2001. In November 2001, within the pre-certificationaudit of QMS, it was declared to be in line with the ISO9001:2000 requirements. Transpetrol's Quality Policyemphasises the priority to keep improving the servicesprovided to customers as well as to satisfy the needs ofthe company's own staff, improve the overall efficiencyby introducing modern technologies and innovatingtechnological equipment and by co-operation withpublic and state institutions. After assessing theadequacy of the quality policy we can say thatTranspetrol's Quality Policy is adequate to thecharacter of activities and services which the companyprovides, it expresses an understanding for the needsof all the stakeholders and provides the organisationwith a focus on the clearly expected results.

The Environmental Policy as well as the QualityPolicy are displayed in all the premises of Transpetroland are available on Internet in an updated form.

Ochrana vôd

Akciová spoločnosť Transpetrol nakladala s voda-mi v súlade so zákonom č. 138/1973 Zb. o vodách.Predpísané ročné limitné hodnoty ukazovateľov znečis-tenia vypúšťaných odpadových vôd, stanovené roz-hodnutiami príslušných vodohospodárskych orgánovv roku 2001, neboli prekročené ani v jednom prípade.Celkove je trend znečistenia odpadových vôd už dlho-dobo vyrovnaný až klesajúci - zvýšené množstvá vy-púšťaných odpadových vôd z jednotlivých PS v posled-nom období boli spôsobené napojením drenážnychvôd na kanalizáciu (PS 3), resp. potrebou odčerpáva-nia povrchových vôd pri stavebných prácach (PS 4).Koncentrácia sledovaného ukazovateľa v indikačnýchsondách ani v jednom prípade neprekročila normoustanovenú hodnotu pre pitné vody.

Pre prípad havarijného zhoršenia akosti vôd súspracované plány opatrení schválené príslušnýmivodohospodárskymi orgánmi a pre jednotlivé prípadysú vypracované programové opatrenia.

Protection of waters

Transpetrol has been handling water in line with Act No.138/1973 on waters. The prescribed annual limits ofpollution indicators of the discharged waste waters,established by the decisions of the relevant watermanagement authorities in 2001, were not exceeded evenin one single case. The overall trend of pollution of wastewaters has for a long time been either balanced ordecreasing - the recent increased amounts of dischargedwaste waters from the individual PSs have been caused bythe linkage of the draining waters to the sewage system (PS 3) or the need for pumping surface waters duringconstruction work (PS 4). The concentration of themonitored indicator in the indication probes did not in onesingle case exceed the value set by the standard for drinkingwater.

Plans of measures have been prepared for the case ofemergency worsening of the quality of water, approved bythe relevant water management authorities and programmemeasures have been prepared for individual cases.

• V záujme bezpečného vzorkovania vypúšťanýchodpadových vôd bol na kanalizácii PS 4 vybudovanýnový merný objekt.

• Building a shaft with an emergency sewage stopper atPS 2 increased the protection of surface waters of therecipient in case of extraordinary situations.

• The reconstruction of cathodic protection of armatureshafts in PS 4 – PS 5 – OSR 1 the segment and of thesensors of the presence of hydrocarbons in the shafts hassecured the pipeline.

• A new measurement facility was built on the PS 4 sewagesystem in order to ensure safe sampling of thedischarged waste waters.

Ročné hodnoty vypúšťaného znečistenia na jed-notlivých PS boli hlboko pod limitnými hodnotami,ktoré stanovili vodohospodárske orgány.

Ochrana ovzdušia

Činnosť a.s. Transpetrol v oblasti ochrany ovzdušiaje v súlade so zákonmi na ochranu ovzdušia SR, naria-dením vlády SR č. 92/1996 Z. z. v znení NV SR č. 473/2000 Z. z., zohľadňuje aj očakávané zmenyprávnej úpravy pri ochrane ovzdušia (Smernica Rady94/63/ES o riadení VOC) na prechodné obdobie do31. 12. 2010.

Spoplatnené sú prchavé organické zlúčeniny(VOC) unikajúce pri preprave a skladovaní ropy, tuhéznečisťujúce látky, SO2, NOX, CO a organický uhlík vy-púšťané z plynových kotolní v súlade so zákonom NRSR č. 401/1998 Z. z. Zdroje znečisťovania sú v kate-górii veľké, stredné a malé zdroje znečistenia. Nazáklade merania emisií oprávnenou organizáciou bolopreukázané, že emisné limity neboli prekročené.V roku 2001 preto neboli uložené a.s. Transpetrol žiad-ne pokuty za znečisťovanie ovzdušia.

Emisie VOC na PS 1 neboli pred rokom 1999bilancované, keďže technologický celok - prečerpáva-cia stanica ropy v Budkovciach sa považuje za veľkýzdroj znečisťovania ovzdušia až od 1. 1. 1999. Miernynárast v roku 2001 oproti roku 2000 súvisí so zvýše-ným objemom prepravovanej ropy.

The annual values of the discharged pollution at theindividual PSs were far below the limit values, establishedby decisions of water management authorities.

Air Protection

Transpetrol's activity in the protection of air is in linewith the Slovak laws for the protection of air, GovernmentRegulation No. 92/1996 Coll., as amended byGovernment Regulation No. 473/2000 Coll.; it takes intoaccount the expected changes of air protectionlegislation (Council Directive 94/63/EC on VOCmanagement) for the transitional period until 31December 2010.

In line with Act No. 401/1998 Coll., there are fees forvolatile organic compounds (VOCs) which leak during thetransport and storage of oil, solid pollutants, SO2, NOX,CO and organic carbon released from gas boiler houses.Sources of pollution fall within the major, medium andminor categories. The measurement of emissionsconducted by the authorised organisation has shown thatthe emission limits have not been exceeded. That is why in2001 Transpetrol was not levied any fines for air pollution.

Before 1999, VOC emissions at PS1 were notcalculated, since the technological whole - oil pumpingstation in Budkovce - is only considered a major source ofair pollution after 1 January 1999. The slight increase in2001 compared to 2000 is related to the higher volumeof transported oil.

Emisie VOC na PS 4 zostali v r. 2001 približne naúrovni predchádzajúcich 2 rokov, keď boli doplnenéna skladovacích nádržiach PS 4 predpísané tesneniaplávajúcich striech. Veľmi mierny nárast VOC súvisí sozvýšeným objemom prepravovanej ropy.

Odpadové hospodárstvo

Odpadové hospodárstvo a.s. Transpetrol sa v r. 2001riadilo novým zákonom o odpadoch a príslušnými vyko-návacími predpismi. Náklady na odpadové hospodárstvopredstavovali v roku 2001 sumu 848 800,- Sk, z tohopoplatky za uloženie odpadov na sklad v sadzbe A pred-stavovali sumu 2 218,30 Sk. Pokuty uložené neboli.

Waste management

Transpetrol's waste management was in 2001following the new act on waste and the relatedimplementing regulations. In 2001 the cost of wastemanagement represented SKK 848 800, out of which SKK2 218.30 were tariff A fees for storage. No fines were levied.

The whole joint-stock company was fulfilling theprogramme objectives for waste recovery, waste disposal inorder to remove environmental load and the reduction ofthe volume of waste produced. At PS 2 an emergency

Celkove bolo v roku 2001 v a.s. Transpetrol vypro-dukovaných 4 095,7 t odpadov, z čoho najviac – 3 515 t – bolo betónového odpadu z demontáženepotrebných nadzemných zariadení a oplotenia (nadruhotné využitie), železného šrotu z rekonštrukcienádrží (na druhotné využitie) a zeminy znečistenejropnými látkami vyťaženej pri rekonštrukčných prá-cach na potrubných rozvodoch (zneškodnenie poúprave a biodegradácii). Programovým opatrením nazníženie množstva produkovaných ropných kalov sadarilo naďalej znižovať produkciu ropných kalov.

In 2001 Transpetrol produced 4 095.7 metric tons ofwaste in total, out of which the largest proportion - 3 315metric tons - was waste concrete from the dismantling ofunnecessary above-ground equipment and fencing (forsecondary use), scrap iron from the reconstruction oftanks (for secondary use), and soil polluted by oilsubstances extracted during reconstruction work at thedistribution pipes (disposal after treatment andbiodegradation). The programme measure to reduce theamount of produced oil sludge achieved further reductionof the oil sludge production.

Spotreba elektrickej energie

V celej a.s. Transpetrol zaznamenala spotrebaelektrickej energie v posledných 6 rokoch pokleso 25,46 % v dôsledku zníženia prepravy ropy a čias-točne modernizáciou technologických zariadení. Mier-ny nárast v r. 2001 súvisí s vyšším objemom preprave-nej ropy a s plnením požiadaviek zákazníka na rovno-mernosť dodávok a množstvo prepravenej ropy.

Množstvo elektrickej energie potrebnej na pre-pravu tony ropy bolo v uplynulom roku v porovnanís rokom 1996 o 9,86 % nižšie. Toto zvýšenie efekti-vity nastalo po rekonštrukcii rozvodní a elektromoto-rov a čiastočne využívaním hospodárnejších režimovčerpania.

Electricity consumption

In the last six years the electricity consumption acrossthe whole joint-stock company has decreased by 25.46per cent, due to reduction in oil transport and partly due tomodernisation of the technological equipment. The slightincrease in 2001 is related to higher volume of transportedoil and to meeting the requirements of the customers foreven supplies and amounts of transported oil.

Last year the amount of electricity needed for thetransport of one metric ton of oil was lower by 9.86 percent compared to 1996. This increase of efficiencyoccurred after the reconstruction of distribution plantsand electrical engines and partly by using moreeconomical pumping regimes.

Odber pitnej vody

Odber pitnej vody v akciovej spoločnosti Trans-petrol má trvalo klesajúci trend. Pitná voda sa využí-vala na sociálne a hygienické účely, ako aj na požiar-nu ochranu.

Po rekonštrukcii vodovodu na PS 3 výrazne kleslaspotreba pitnej vody v tejto prevádzke. Mierne zvýšenýodber pitnej vody na PS 4 v roku 2001 bol zapríčinenýporuchou na vodovodnom potrubí, ktorá bola odstrá-nená. PS 1 bola napojená na verejnú vodovodnú sieťaž od tretieho štvrťroku 2000, preto je znázornenýodber len od roku 2000.

Consumption of drinking water

Transpetrol's consumption of drinking water hasbeen showing a constantly decreasing trend. Drinkingwater was used for social and hygienic purposes andfor fire protection.

After a reconstruction of the water mains at PS 3, thedrinking water consumption at this operation decreasedsignificantly. The slightly higher consumption of drinkingwater at P S4 in 2001 was caused by a damage to the wa-ter mains, which was later repaired. PS 1 was only linkedto the public water mains from the 3rd quarter of 2000,that is why only its consumption since 2000 is shown.

Bezpečnosť pri práci

Akciová spoločnosť Transpetrol venuje veľkúpozornosť bezpečnosti pri práci vlastných zamest-nancov a pracovníkov zmluvných firiem pohybujú-cich sa po areáli spoločnosti.

Spoločnosť má dobre prepracovaný systém ško-lení o bezpečnosti pri práci, vychádzajúci z povedo-mia osobitosti práce a pohybu osôb vo výbušnomprostredí, vo výškach a pod. Špecifiká našej činnos-ti sa premietajú do vybavenia a výcviku vlastnýchpožiarnych jednotiek, ktoré sa pravidelne dobreumiestňujú na okresných požiarnych cvičeniacha v prípade potreby poskytujú operatívnu pomoc ajblízkym obciam. Pravidelné požiarne, havarijnéa radiačné cvičenia sú v a.s. Transpetrol samozrej-mosťou, rovnako ako pravidelné lekárske prehliadkyvybraných profesií.

Vďaka cieľavedomej a systematickej starostli-vosti o bezpečnosť pri práci od roku 1996 nebolv a.s. Transpetrol zaznamenaný smrteľný pracovnýúraz ani ochorenie z povolania.

Safety at work

Transpetrol has been devoting much attention tosafety at work of its own employees and ofemployees of contractors who move round thecompany's premises.

The company has a well thought-out system oftraining courses on safety at work, based on theawareness of special nature of working and movingwithin explosive environment, in heights, etc. Thespecific features of our activity are reflected in theequipment and training of our own firefighting units,which regularly rank well at district firefightingexercises and in case of need provide operativeassistance also to nearby villages. Regularfirefighting, emergency and radiation exercises aretaken for granted in Transpetrol, just as regularmedical check-ups of workers in selected jobs.

Thanks to focused and systematic care for safetyat work, no single fatal accident at work oroccupational disease have been recorded inTranspetrol since 1996.

Príprava a realizácia investičných akcií v roku2001 boli v súlade s dlhodobým plánom technickéhoa investičného rozvoja spoločnosti. Jednotlivé projektysa uskutočnili v súlade s požiadavkami environmetál-neho systému riadenia podľa normy ISO 14001a garantujú bezpečnosť ropovodného systému, porov-nateľnú so štandardom technickej úrovne ropovodovv krajinách Európskej únie. Rešpektovaním technic-kých noriem platných v EU pri ich realizácii sa stalikompatibilnými s európskym ropovodným systémom.V roku 2001 boli orientované na dokončenie rekon-štrukcie a modernizácie líniovej časti ropovodu, rekon-štrukciu a výstavbu veľkokapacitných zásobníkov ropy,dobudovanie zariadení vodného hospodárstva,modernizáciu požiarneho zabezpečenia a zdokonale-nie riadiaceho a informačného systému ropovodnéhosystému.

Na investičný rozvoj vrátane nákladov na zabezpe-čenie komerčného využitia optických vlákien a.s.Transpetrol vynaložila finančné prostriedky vo výške 1 022,9 mil. Sk, z toho na rekonštrukciu a modernizá-ciu ropovodného systému vrátane investičných náku-pov 938,9 tis. Sk. Vzhľadom na dôležitosť zabezpeče-nia trvalej prevádzky ropovodného systému, s cieľomzabezpečiť plynulosť dodávky ropy do rafinérií aj v sťa-žených a rizikových podmienkach, boli prednostnerealizované stavby v areáli stanice PS 1 Budkovce a naropovodnom potrubí.

The preparation and implementation of investmentsin 2001 went in line with the company's long-term planof technical and investment development. Individualprojects were implemented in accordance with therequirements of the ISO 14001 EnvironmentalManagement System and they guarantee the safety ofthe pipeline system, comparable to the technicalstandard of pipelines in the EU Member States. Byrespecting the technical standards valid in the EU, theyare now compatible with the European pipeline system.In 2001 the focus was on finishing the reconstructionand modernisation of the line part of the pipeline,reconstruction and building of high-capacity oil storagetanks, building of water management facilities,modernisation of firefighting facilities and improvementof management and information system of the pipelinesystem.

For the investment development, including the costfor ensuring the commercial use of the optical fibre,Transpetrol spent SKK 1 022.9 million, out of which SKK938.9 thousand for reconstruction and modernisation ofthe pipeline system, including investment purchases.With regard to the importance of ensuring permanentoperation of the pipeline system, with the aim to ensuresmooth deliveries of oil to refineries even in more difficultand risky conditions, preference was given to constructionwork at Budkovce PS 1 and on the pipelines.

In keeping with the 2001 implementation plan, thefollowing construction work was completed:

Preskúmanie MS za rok 2001

V rámci investičného procesu boli do stavieb eko-logického charakteru v roku 2001 vložené investičnéprostriedky v objeme 634,3 mil. Sk. Boli preinvestova-né na stavbách uvádzaných v rámci dokumentov EMS,na akciách vyplývajúcich z požiadaviek jednotlivýchprevádzkovateľov a na rozpracovaných stavbách.

V súlade s dokumentmi EMS investičná výstavbav roku 2001 bola realizovaná na týchto stavbách(Program EMS je súhlasný s Registrom dlhodobýcha krátkodobých cieľov):

A 1 – Zmena užívania nádrže č. 236 PS 1 BudkovceStavba nezačala s ohľadom na komplexnú rekonštruk-ciu skladovacieho parku a potreby prevádzky. V prípa-de kompletného odovzdania nádrže č. 233 (vrátanenadväzujúcich) je možné stavbu začať v roku 2002v súlade s Plánom TIR na rok 2002.

MS review for 2001

Within the investment process a volume of SKK634.3 million was invested in construction of ecologicalcharacter. It was invested in construction recorded withinthe EMS documents, in activities following from therequirements of the individual operators and in theconstruction which was already under way. In line with the EMS documents, investment in 2001 wasimplemented in the following construction (the EMSprogramme tallies with the Register of long-term andshort-term objectives):

Tupá PS 4 Work is being done on the drainage of the premises.

Bučany PS 5 New firefighting tank including part of watermanagement system has been finished, thecollection tank has been exchanged, the parking areahas been extended.

The line of the pipeline Within ecological measures on the route, thefollowing segments have been finished: PS 2 – PS 1and PS 1 –Ukrainian border (the districts ofMichalovce, Trebišov, Košice - surroundings,Rožňava). The reconstruction of odorimeters at the protectionfacilities on the PS 2 – PS 3 route continues (thedistricts of Košice - surroundings, Rožňava, Revúca,Rimavská Sobota). The ecological provision of the route in the OSR 1 – PS 5 – PS 4 segment has increased the safety of thispart of the pipeline.

Akciová spoločnosť Transpetrol za jeden z rozho-dujúcich faktorov svojho dynamického rozvoja a ekono-mickej prosperity považuje kvalitu ľudského potenciá-lu. Zvlášť vysoké nároky kladie na kvalitu riadiacichpracovníkov. Súvisí to s celkovou orientáciou spoloč-nosti na permanentnú inováciu prevádzkových postu-pov, ako aj so vstupom zahraničného strategickéhoinvestora, od ktorého sa očakáva zavedenie novýchpostupov a vnútorných systémov organizácie spoloč-nosti a novej firemnej kultúry. Takýto prístup k perso-nálnej politike sa stáva nevyhnutným aj s prihliadnutímna úsilie, ktoré naša krajina vynakladá na dosiahnutiečlenstva v Európskej únii a tým aj na začlenenie našejekonomiky do vyspelého európskeho trhu.

V roku 2001 zamestnával Transpetrol v priemere 492zamestnancov, z toho 91 žien.

Štruktúra zamestnancov podľa pracovných kategóriíbola nasledovná:

• 206 technicko-hospodárskych zamestnancov• 216 robotníkov• 70 zamestnancov pomocného a obslužného personálu

Ku dňu 31. 12. 2001 bol stav zamestnancov 492,z toho 91 žien, čo predstavuje 18,5 % celkového počtuzamestnancov.

Vzdelanostná štruktúra ku dňu 31. 12. 2001 bolanasledovná:

• 101 vysokoškolské vzdelanie (20,53 %)• 248 stredoškolské vzdelanie s maturitou (50,40 %)• 135 stredoškolské vzdelanie (27,44 %)• 8 základné vzdelanie (1,63 %)

Vedenie spoločnosti venovalo osobitnú pozornosťzabezpečovaniu systému vzdelávacích aktivít s cieľomprehĺbiť a skvalitniť odbornú úroveň vybraného okruhuzamestnancov. Vzdelávacie aktivity boli preto zameranénajmä na dokonalé zvládnutie využívania výpočtovejtechniky a na prehlbovanie a rozširovanie odbornej a jazy-kovej úrovne zamestnancov. Celkove spoločnosť investo-vala v roku 2001 do vzdelávania svojich zamestnancovfinančnú čiastku 6 667 tis. Sk.

V r. 2001 bola ukončená realizácia projektu do-chádzkového, stravovacieho a prístupového systému

Transpetrol sees the quality of human potential as oneof the decisive factors of its dynamic development andeconomic prosperity. It puts particularly high requirementson the quality of the managers, which is related to theoverall orientation of the company at permanentinnovation of the operational procedures and to the arrivalof the foreign strategic partner, from which it is expectedthat new procedures and internal systems of thecompany's organisation and new corporate culture will beintroduced. Such approach to the human resources policybecomes necessary also with regard to the efforts whichthis country has been putting in to achieve membership inthe European Union and thus inclusion of our economy inthe developed European market.

In 2001 Transpetrol had an average of 492 employees,out of which 91 women.

The structure of the employees according to the workcategories was as follows:

The company's management paid special attention toproviding a system of educational and training activitiesand to improving the professional level of a selected groupof employees. That is why the training activities focused oncoping with the use of information technology anddeepening as well as extending the professional andlinguistic skills of the employees. In 2001 the companyinvested a total of SKK 6 667 thousand in training thestaff.

na všetkých pracoviskách spoločnosti, čím sa zvýšilovyužívanie informačných technológií v oblasti riadeniaľudských zdrojov vrátane automatizovaného spraco-vania miezd.

Na účely sociálnej starostlivosti o zamestnancov spo-ločnosti boli v roku 2001 vynaložené finančné prostriedkyvo výške 4 987 185,- Sk zo sociálneho fondu. Uvedenéprostriedky boli použité vo forme príspevkov zamestnan-com, a to najmä na stravovanie, dopravu do zamestna-nia, rekreačné a liečebné pobyty a na sociálnu výpomoc.

V rámci realizácie podnikovej sociálnej politikypokračovalo poisťovanie zamestnancov formou dopln-kového dôchodkového pripoistenia. Podiel zamestnan-cov poistených touto formou predstavoval 70,12 % z cel-kového počtu zamestnancov spoločnosti evidovaných k 31. 12. 2001.

Spoločnosť zabezpečovala formou ekonomickéhoprenájmu aj celoročnú prevádzku vlastných rekreačnýchzariadení: TP hotel DRUŽBA v Senci, TP hotel ADRIAv Trenčianskych Tepliciach a TP hotel MIER v Račkovejdoline. Tieto zaradenia okrem komerčného využitia slúži-li aj pre potreby vzdelávania a na rekreačné, športovéa spoločenské účely pre zamestnancov a.s. Transpetrol.

Through economic lease, the company ensured theoperation of its own recreational facilities during the wholeof 2001: the TP DRUŽBA hotel in Senec, the TP ADRIA hotelin Trenčianske Teplice and the TP MIER hotel in Račkovadolina. Apart from their commercial use they served fortraining as well as for recreational and sports purposes forTranspetrol's staff.
