(the president, people, or  businesses?) -Any other important details about them Step Five: Add a picture of each President, or something that represents that president. Step Six: Submit for grading. Friday, December 10th: ASSIGNMENT: Read 18.3 (p. 234-6) and answer the following questions. 1. What do you think this quote by Roosevelt means? “The man that holds that every human right is secondary to his profit must now give way to the advocate of human welfare.” 2. What did the Sherman Antitr ust Act do? 3. What did the Hepburn Act do? 4. The Clayton Act made it illegal for companies to offer lower  prices in one market (say Michigan), but higher prices in another (California). Can you think of an example of a business that might be guilty of such a thing today? 5. Why is the Pure Food and Drug Act so important? 6. In what ways did the rules for workers change? Provide specific EXAMPLES. 7. What is the difference between a preservationist and a conservationist? 8. What actions did people take that specifically helped to protect wildlife?
