(1)Contents: (教材内容)

From Unit 1 to Unit 3, students have learned some stories about success. And all the students want to be successful. But there are not always roses and applaud on the road. We will make the students think about the fact that even though someone has disabilities, disadvantage or environmental difficulties, they can succeed if they never give up and keep challenging.

a) Knowledge and Technique Teaching Objectives: ( 知识与技能目标)1. Enrich students’ vocabulary of the theme

success and encourage them to use what they’ve learned.

2. The usage of Causative verbs , the present and past participle, Adverbial clauses.

3. Writing strategies4. Write a short passage about how to succeed.

b) Process and method teaching objectives ( 过程与方法目标)

Make students learn by different settings including independence learning, cooperative learning and inquiry – based learning . Thus, they will obtain a learning model where they communicate , cooperate with others and learn from others.

1) Modern pedagogy seeks to help learners become more independent , capable of being and keen to become lifelong learners. Thus, the concept of learner autonomy has risen to prominence( Wenden, 1991). Promoting learner autonomy means that learners have a role in planning, controlling and evaluating their own learning. Group activities supply one means of moving students away from dependence on teachers.

2)One central belief of current second language pedagogy is that learners differ from one another in important ways ( Robinson, 2002) One area of difference lies in the tendency of some learners to prefer to learn in social settings. All learners need to know how to succeed in such settings, and CL provides opportunities for students to develop and practice the strategies they need to work with others.

front to make the speech they wrote just now. Students can improve their comprehensive language proficiency in this way. What’s more, we help the students understand that what they learned and wrote is important and useful in their daily life. We can stimulate their intrinsic motivation to learn.

All the students did a good job in this

class, so listening to an English song called

“Never Give UP” can help them to relax

themselves. At the same time we can
