Significance and Need for KACC 한인회관의 의미 및 목적
The Korean American Association of Greater ATL represents and serves the Korean community in the ATL area by protecting their rights, promoting the unity and welfare, and enriching their lives through exchange of cultures and friendship within the Greater ATL community.
애틀랜타 한인회는 애틀랜타 한인 동포사회를 대표하며 한인들의 권익을 옹호하고 동포사회의 단합과 복지증진, 발전을 도모하며 문화교류 및 우호증진을 위한 공동체.
The Korean-American Cultural Center is the focal point of the Korean community where the Korean culture, arts, and language are promoted and self-identity and pride in the Korean heritage may be instilled among the Korean immigrants and their children living in ATL.
한인회관은 애틀랜타에 거주하는 한인 및 자녀들에게 한국인의 문화, 예술 및 정서적 교육을 통하여 재미 한국인으로써 정체성 확립과 한민족의 자긍심 및 기상을 심어줄 커뮤니티 센터.

New Construction at the Current Location
현 위치 새 건물 증축
The size of the current location will not accommodate 25,000SF building and the needed parking spaces. 25,000SF 의 건물이 들어설 수 있는 공간 및 파킹장 부족.
This is not the best option as a long term plan. Long term plan으로 볼 때 장소가 좁고 위치가 적합치 않음.

Option 2 Purchasing Existing Building at a New Location 새 위치의 기존건물 구입 후 보수공사
Anticipate a saving of $1 million by finding a building for sale
and negotiating at below the listing price. 적당한 위치의 부동산 마켙에 나와 있는 건물을 싼 가격으로 구입할 수 있을 경우 listing price 보다 $1,000,000 이상 싸게 살 수 있음.
Perform minor renovations for a relatively quick move-in 빠른 시일내의 보수공사를 거쳐 일단 이전 가능함.
Save on additional expenses, such as architectural and engineering fees. 새 건물을 지어야 할 경우 들어갈 설계비 및 engineering fee등의 extra 비용을 절감할 수 있음.
Estimate 2/3 of Total Cost of what it would take to build a new construction according to Option 3. Option 3와 비교할 때 약 2/3의 비용만 들어감.

• 현재 H 마트와 아씨 마켓에서는 교회 영수증 모금함을 두고 모여진 영수증에 정해진 %를 교회로 보내 주고 있음 .

The current total fund in the KACC-DC Account which includes the insurance payment is about $730K according to Mr. Baik Kyu Kim who is the newly appointed Chairman of the KACC-DC. 김백규 건립 위원장에 의하면 현재 건립위 계좌에 입금된 기금은, 화재 보상금을 포함해 73여만달러 수준이다.
Mr. Baik Kyu Kim explains that there are several options regarding the future plans for the KACC. “We can either build a new building in the current location or move to a new location closer to the Gwinnett County where most of Korean population is concentrated. If we can sell the current lot for about $400-500K and move to a new location with est. value at $2.7 million, then additional $1.5 million will need to be raised. The committee is doing its best to realize its plan as soon as practically possible.” 김 위원장은 "현재 한인회관 부지에 새 건물을 짓는 플랜과 부지를 매각한 후 귀넷 등 한인타운에 새 회관을 마련하는 안 등이 거론되고 있다“며 "만약 부지(40-50만달러 예상)를 매각한 후 270만달러 규모의 새 회관을 건립하려면 약 150만달러를 더 모금해야할 것으로 가능한한 빠른 시간 내에 회관을 세울 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 설명했다.
