ACC Met Focal Points of the ASEAN Embassies in Beijing
ACC Organized ACB Members to Visit SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.
On 7 August 2014, off icials of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and the focal points of ASEAN Embassies in Beijing met and exchanged views on how to further enhance ASEAN-China cooperation.
Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang of ACC briefed on the recent work of ACC, expressed his appreciation to the ASEAN Embassies in Beijing for their continued support, and looked forward to more interactive communications and cooperations between the two sides. The focal points of ASEAN Embassies in Beijing commended on the recent ACC's work and activities, took note of the new projects and pledged their continued support to ACC.
The meeting was a continued ACC Working Group activity since the last Working Group Meeting on 25 April 2014, and also in response to the call by the 3rd Joint Executive Board (JEB) and Joint Council (JC) meetings of ACC in December 2013 to have more interactions with ASEAN Embassies in Beijing to improve ACC's work.

and representatives. President Tang briefed on the company's history, R&D strength and its recent development in ASEAN. He said that ASEAN has become the fastest growing market for SANY and SANY set up several industrial parks in some ASEAN countries, which have contributed to the development of local economies. SANY is looking forward to further cooperating with ACB in order to expand its presence in Southeast Asia.
Secre ta ry-Genera l Ma ment ioned tha t as the only in te r-governmental organizat ion between ASEAN and China, ACC has made consistent efforts to push forward various cooperations between the two sides. After experiencing a golden decade of development, ASEAN-China strategic partnership has entered a new stage of development that features even deeper and more substantive cooperation. ACC hopes SANY Group would successfully expand its ASEAN market and make greater contributions to further enhancing ASEAN-China relations of good-neighborliness, friendship and mutual benefit. ACC would like to facilitate and support SANYs cooperation with ASEAN partners.

ACB members expressed their gratitude to ACC for organizing this tour and applauded SANY's hospitality. They said ASEAN and China have carried out all-rounded cooperation and made remarkable achievements since the establishment of strategic relations. They also noted that this meaningful tour helped deepen their understanding of Chinese economic and technical development. They hoped to see more SANY investment in their respective countries and were willing to render any neccessary assistance to SANY as it further explores the ASEAN market.
Before the meeting, Secretary-General Ma, ASEAN Ambassadors and representatives visited SANY Nankou Industrial Park located inside SANY.
