Magazine Cover

Design a magazine cover that shows a self portrait with articles about yourself.

I skimmed through images of magazine covers to really fig-ure out what they look like in order to make it look real.I looked for a photo that I thought best represents me, and used that as a guideline of spacing when I put everything together.I sketched out my favorite looks, and put my own twist one each of them.I then created a shape map in InDesign of my favorite sketch.Next I opened InDesign and created a brand new 8.5 x 11 inch page.I inserted my photo of myself and proceeded to use the sam-ple rough draft I made as a reference to make my cover.I used the text boxes will different articles I wanted to use

I wanted people to get to know a little bit more about me and how I really do enjoy the light and dark look, which is portrayed in my magazine cover.

Whoever wants to know more about me!

Not knowing how to use InDesign and making it through just watching a video is complicated without face to face help. But actually doing it and working hard will help you accomplished what is needed to be done.

Montage

Design a spiritual poster montage using the blend of images of type.

I had an idea of the montage I wanted to create, I picked the scripture and used it as a guideline of what I wanted to portray. Here is the process I did as followed:

In photoshop I combined all of the different photographs I used to create this certain montage. I used multiple layer masks and the brush tool to create the blended effect with all of the photos. I layered one after another and it created my pictures.I then added the quote that I picked out and added it to the picture.I tried to make it very create and go by the rules of typogra-phy, alignment, and repetition.

That with Christ we can do all things,a spiritual uplifting message.

Anyone who needs a good message.

Alignment. That everything needs to go together and look good, as alsignment is so important in a design.

Photo Design

By using design and photography skills, create a proj-ects that shows a consistent color scheme from the image that you personally took.

I decided what color scheme I was aiming for and tried to focus around that. I came up with ideas of how I could por-tray and show that. I did know I wanted to do something outside.I went on a hike with my friend and we took photos, I told her what color to wear because I did want indigo in my color scheme. When I finally got the photo I wanted, I edited it in photo shop and in did a lot to it to bring out the colors. I focused on particular colors and intensify and make them more vibrant. I wanted the jacket to really be the focus of the picture. After all the colors were to my liking, I then added the boxes and words to my photograph. I wanted the word

To appreciate not just human beings, but the beautiful nature around us, as it is still growing and living.

Those who like the nature.

Stick to the color wheel and the category. Everything does need to match and blend with one another.

Web Page Mockup

Design a Website homepage using a grid.

I picked the idea that I wanted to use for the main point of my website. I used the same logo and most of the same colors of my previous project.I then started to sketch out some ideas of where I wanted certain items to be and sketch out the layout. After I sketched it out on paper, I picked my favorite one and went to Photoshop and used the grid provided to make my website and to get me started. My final design turned out nicely, and simple, as I wanted it to be from my sketch.

Buisness Identity

Create logo for a company/organization and establish a visual identity across documents.

I first sketched out my ideas on paper of what I wanted to portray. I drew a lot of different options. After doing all of the drawings, I picked the best three that I thought really portrayed what I wanted to show my audience. I opened Illustrator and started to create some of the sketches I did digitally.I created all of my designs on illustrator, really tried my best. After doing my three designs, I printed them out and had my friends vote on which one they liked the most, and that turned out to be the apple design.I chose the illustration that everyone thought was the best and made it a lot more visually appealing.

Coding

I first sketched out my ideas on paper of what I wanted to portray. I drew a lot of different options.

I first created my logo in Illustrator, and then went on from there of how I wanted to to showcase my design.I then had to resize my logo so it can be correct on the length.I then created my HTML file and started adding my own content and tags.I then made my own CSS file and made sure that it would link to the HTML code.I created my own custom elements in my CSS to go along with my logo and also with the different fonts.I then made sure to validate my HTML and CSS.

To show my own designs.

Those who are interestd in someone who can help them with a design elements.

Do not pick really dark, heavy colors as most of the design as it can look unorganized and too much.

Prezi

Create an instructional presentation using the Prezi software to show its features and capa-

I have done Prezi in the past for my high school proj-ects, so I just had to play around a little bit and bring my memory back. The process of creating my Prezi pre-sentation went as followed:

After I researched and figured out my idea, I tried to find a picture that went well with my idea. I wanted to get a picture first so I know where I can add each slide on the actual picture.I used to graphic of the rainbow as a guideline of how I wanted the direction of my slides to go. I drew out how I wanted it to look like, and where each of the slides should go.I went to Prezi and added each of the slides and wrote short content to portray my idea. I typed all of it in

How to not procrastinate.

People who struggle with procrastinating and who would want to get tips on how to stay on track on their work.

I first started to think about ideas and find data on the idea that I was leaning more towards. I then decided to do it on why dogs are really the best.I looked up good, simple facts about dogs that most peo-ple enjoy about them.I sketched out some ideas of how I wanted the layout to be, and drew out the certain elements of graphics that I really wanted to add.I then opened Illustrator and started on my project.
