Yes, even if you’re not a bit athletic, you can help make Lazer
Sports Camp a great experience for some kids this summer. Here
are a few of the ways you can help:
• Provide snacks for hungry campers. We need lots of Goldfish
crackers, individual bags of fruit snacks, packages of Rice
Krispie Treats, and fresh oranges to keep our athletes going.
Bring your donations to the Children’s Ministry office by
Sunday, June 21.
• Volunteer to be a small group leader for Bible study times. You can leave the sports instruction to our coaches and
their helpers while you provide the spiritual coaching to a
group of 6–8 children for a brief time each camp morning
(June 22–26).
• Provide scholarship funds to assist a family in sending their
child(ren) to Lazer Sports Camp or A.W.E.SOME Arts Camp.
Contact the Children’s Ministry office, 255.2122, for more
information or to volunteer your time, talents and treasures.

MISSION ONE Reaching others for Jesus Christ
Ron & ErinLocation: Closed Country
What do they do? Since 1989 Ron and Erin have ministered in
this country where 95% of the nation’s inhabitants have never
heard the plan of salvation. They are translators, community
development consultants and work on linguistic analysis, dic-tionary entry and material preparation. They also give orienta-
tion and guidance to a number of new teams in basic village
entry, language learning and cultural learning.
Praises:
• “One of our friends can sit in his tall-stilt treehouse on the
jungle hillside and use his cell phone.”
• For 6 hours of foundational truth from Genesis in audio form.
Prayer Requests:
• For travel to the US June 10, to stay for one year.
• For continued work on their language project and also help-
ing with team coordination from a distance.• For their 3 daughters in various stages of college transition
in the US.
• For their son, a freshman, as he will experience public
school in the US.
Mike & Brenda McCalleyMission Board:
Campus Crusade for Christ
Location: Poulsbo, Washington
What do they do? Mike and Brenda are involved in administra-
tion, recruiting, training and sending with StoryRunners.Their ministry is targeted towards unreached people groups
who have little or no written language. StoryRunners use
story-telling techniques to translate 40-60 Bible stories spe-
cifically for each people group, giving them an oral Bible in
their own language.
Praises:
• For Brenda’s recent trip to Central Asia to hold training ses-
sions for women.
• The first villagers have come to Christ since a StoryRunners
team lived there for 2 years and created a Story Bible in the
heart language of the people.
Prayer Requests:• That many people will come to know Jesus in the village.
• For those interested in knowing more about Christ to have
freedom from fear and repression by Islamic leaders.
• For wisdom as they test and develop a new story set for “Mag-
dalena” –a new version of the JESUS film with added footage
of Christ’s interactions with women.

We Love New Babies! We love to pray for expectant parents and we
love to celebrate the birth of each Federated baby.
If you are expecting a baby, the GEM (Great
Expectations Ministry) ladies are ready to serve
you. Please let us know your due date. Put a note on your Care
and Communication Card or call Mary in the Children’s Ministryoffice at 255.2122. (…and CONGRATULATIONS!)
Lazer Sports Camp ’09June 22-26
It’s not too late to register for Lazer
Sports Camp. Yes, you will pay a
little more for your procrastination,
but it’s still a great value at just $45.
Information is available at the table outside Franklin Hall, in the
Children’s Ministry office, or call 255.2122.
Xtreme Graduation
Congratulations to the 6th graders who are movin’ on up toHeir Born. Their Xtreme farewell party on Sunday, May 24 was
complete with graduation cake and custom graduation caps. We’l
miss our Xtreme grads, but we know
God has great things ahead for each
of them.
KZ ChurchOur parable today in KZ Church
talked about a very rich, yet unwise,
man. The rich man’s barns were filled
with crops. But when he died, he hadn’t
done anything to serve God. He hadonly cared about getting lots of pos-
sessions for himself. Jesus tells us to
CARE MORE ABOUT GOD THAN POSSESSIONS. Ask your
child what possessions they have that might be a distraction from
what really matters. What possession do YOU have or wish to
have that might keep you from your focus on Jesus?
Promotion SundayAs another school year ends,
it’s time for our children to
move on up to new classes in the
Children’s Ministry. June 7 willbe Promotion Sunday. Watch your
mailbox for specific information
for your child(ren).
Thank a TeacherMany faithful volunteers have cared for
and taught our kids during the 2008-2009
school year. Don’t forget to let them know
how much they are appreciated. Make a card,
draw a picture, bake some goodies, give ‘em
a hug…just remember to say thanks!
New ArrivalCongratulations to Grandpa LaMar and
Grandma Priscilla Myers. Granddaughter
Kepley Hubbard Harris was born to Adam
and Kristine Harris on May 19. Kepley and her family live in
beautiful Wyoming country. Welcome, little one, to our extended
Federated family!
Best-Paying Job in the Church!Money? Well, not exactly, but if smiles
from children and thanks from parents could
be converted to cash, you’d be the richest
man or woman in town when you sign on
to help in the Children’s Ministry. A few
volunteers are still needed for the summer
session which begins next week. Amuse-
ment, variety, excitement and satisfaction guaranteed! Call the
Children’s Ministry office, 255.2122, for more information.

OTHER NEWS
SympathyOur sympathy is extended to those in our church family who
have lost a loved one recently:
Mary Maurer at the death of her brother-in-law, Jim Mabrier
on May 27
Thank YouWe wish to express our sincere thanks and love to Pastor Curt
for his beautiful visits, Julie D. for keeping up on the progress of
tests and surgery and those who guided the prayer list calls. God
demonstrated his love through all the people who prayed, visited,
called, sent cards and emails. I have had a great peace, and God
has blessed with a wonderful new heart valve and the quality and
extent of my recovery in just way beyond what was expected,
having had surgery just one week ago today. Our LOVE and
thanks to our FFC Family, Will and Pat Wray

Baby Bottle Blessing UpdateWe started our BBB Kickoff on Mother’s Day with 698 baby
bottles. Over the first two Sundays, a total of 361 bottles have
been picked up by our FFC family. That is
good but we can do better, don’t you think?
We have 337 bottles yet to be snatched up to
help AGAPE Pregnancy Center and Birth-
right. Let’s show them what First Federated
Church can do!
If you have not picked up a baby bottle
yet, they are available at the table next to the
Missions table in the foyer.
Baby Bottle Ingathering is Father’s Day,
June 21. For those who wish to return theirbottles earlier, there are two locations for your
convenience.
Return bottles to:• The table next to the missions display in the foyer
• The table in the hallway as you leave Franklin Hall
There will be a person at each table to assist in this process.
For such a time as this: It was exciting to learn a new Gallup
poll shows that 51 percent of Americans identify themselves as
pro-life. This is a significant increase from last year when 50 per-
cent considered themselves pro-choice and 44 percent pro-life.
Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America,
gives credit to ultrasounds being available to women. When theysee there is a baby instead of a blob, their decision making is
much easier.
