    1. Preliminary Information

    General information

    The product specification and/or performance levels contained in this document are for

    Service Personnel must have an adequate technical background on telecommunicationsand in particular on the equipment subject of this handbook.

    An adequate background is required to properly install, operate and maintainequipment. The fact of merely reading this handbook is considered as not enough.

    The safety recommendations here below must be considered to avoid injuries on persons

    and/or damage to the equipment:

    Service Personnel

    Installation and service must be carried out by authorized persons having appropriatetechnical training and experience necessary to be aware of hazardous operations during

    installation and service, so as to prevent any personal injury or danger toother persons, as well as prevent damaging the equipment.

    Access to the Equipment

    Access to the Equipment in use must be restricted to Service Personnel only.

    Recommended safety rules are indicated in part (5-Safety , EMC, EMF, ESD Norms

    and Equipment Labeling). Local safety regulations must be used if mandatory. Safety
