BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Kido is the leading retailer of baby accessories and furniture in Quebec. Customers can
select from thousands of SKUs from hundreds of suppliers or place a special order to get a
specific item.
Managing so many SKUs and custom orders across multiple locations created inventory
management challenges that could not be handled by their existing software. Kido set
out to replace QuickBooks and several internally developed systems with a single unified
solution that could interface with their existing retail management system (RMS) from
Microsoft and a web store powered by NitroSell.
WHY ACUMATICA?
Kido researched 25 replacement solutions over a one-year period. Point of sale-based
solutions did not include critical back office operations for special orders, shipments,
and inventory management. Accounting solutions lacked integration and customization
