IB Inquiry Current Transdisciplinary Theme: How We Express Ourselves Central Idea: Literature and the arts reflect the culture and values of a society We look closely at what constitutes culture, and examine how culture and values are expressed around the world through literature the arts and other forms of expression. We address various social studies strands in the unit: history, economics, geography, government ..., and look for connections with culture and values as we learn about the United States of America, and other countries. Math Everyday Math : Fractions, Decimals, and Percents: We’ve explored renaming numbers as fractions, improper fractions, mixed numbers, decimals, and percents; using division and multiplication to find equivalent fractions; finding fractions on a number line; renaming fractions as decimals. Calendar Math Topics : Review arrays, factors, multiples; identify prime, composite, and square numbers; move from A.M to P.M when adding or subtracting time; compute with fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals; recognize equivalent decimals and fractions....
