HOW TO ESTABLISH RECEIPTION OF EVACUATED ON SHORE

1. The company must select a predetermined group, which will be responsible for handling the

evacuation on shore. This group should contain a leader, sufficient number of polar bear

guards and sufficient numbers of people to establish tents and manage the evacuation

reception. If needed,this group may be hoisted up from the ship and brought to the shore.

2. The first helicopter should deploy at least the polar bear guards (with weapons) and the

leader. If possible, more people who will be responsible to handle the evac. point on shore

can join the first helicopter. Immediately after the arrival on shore, the leader must set out the

polar bear guards, and decide where the tent camp will be established. He must also consider

where the helicopter landing point should be.

3. The second helicopter should deploy the equipment needed to establish the tent area (GSK

equipment).

4. The first helicopter will then bring out the rest of the people needed to establish the tent area.

After arrival they will start setting up the tents where the leader appoints them.

5. The evac. point should be virtually finished organized before the passengers start to evac. the

vessel. The counting point at the helicopter landing spot should be established, and the evac.

tent area should be ready to receive people.

6. When the evac. point is ready to receive people, the evacuation can start.

ROLES AND TASKS

➢ Are responsible for the polar bear safety and covers the area of the evacuation point.

➢ Are responsible at the tent area. This means having a full overview of the number of evacuated persons, as well as having an overview of the number with red, yellow an green triage.

➢ Are responsible for counting the number of people who has been shipped with helicopter to the evac. point. If helicopter is the only transport from the vessel to the shore, this number should be equal to the number in the tent camp.

➢ This person is also responsible for pointing out a safe route from the helicopter landing point to the tent camp.

➢ Is the leader of the organization on shore. Must strive to at all times have an overview of everyone who is in the evacuation zone on shore, both own resources and evacuated passengers.

➢ The leader should not get involved in the actual work in the area, but act in the same way that he/she at all times has an overview of the situation.

➢ Can advantageously wear a vest that makes it clear that he/she is the leader

➢ Will be the point of contact when the first public players arrive on scene.

The leader and the polar bear guards are shipped to shore. After being hoisted up and flown to shore by the helicopter, the leader must immediately deployd the polar bear guards so the area is secured.

The GSK, rescue tents and the people who will handle this are shipped from the vessel to the shore.After deployed from the heli, the leader sets them in process of establishing the tent camp.

The rest of the crew, who has tasks in the evacuation area are flown in. Helicopter landing spot is placed, control point implemented, and secure route to the tent area is defined.

The evacuation of the passengers can start with rotation of both the helicopters (or more).
