Explanations
Biblical Hebrew uses three common ways to equate one thing (a subject noun) to another thing (a predicate noun).
First, you can set the subject and predicate side-by-side: means “the man האיש גבורis a warrior.”
Second, you can connect the two nouns with the corresponding subject pronoun: ”for “the man is a warrior האיש הוא גבורor האשה היא רעה for “the woman is a shepherd.”
So האיש גבור and both האיש הוא גבורmean “the man is a warrior.”
The context might prompt you to take האיש גבור or ,as present האיש הוא גבורpast, or future.
But if you want to make the time referent clearer, you can use the being verb to specify, as in הילד יהיה גבור or .הרעה היתה ילדה
the man was the man is the man will be the woman was the woman is the woman will be
האיש היה האיש [הוא]
האיש יהיה האשה היתה האשה [היא] האשה תהיה
