This kind consists of 3 main things: Genre Purpose Tone
Genre
Genre is the term for any category of literature or
other forms of art or entertainment, e.g. music, whether written or spoken, audial or visual, based on
some set of stylistic criteria.
Examples of Genre
1. Romance2. History3. Travel4. Mystery5. Sci-Fi6. Informational
Purpose
Purpose is the reason whythe author made the text.
Examples of Purpose1. To amuse.2. To entertain.3. To advertise.4. To scare.5. To give information.
ToneTone is the author's way in wayin expressing the article/story
he or she made.
Examples of Tone1. Persuasive2. Critical3. Humorous4. Nostalgic5. Ironic
Second Kind of Assessment Objectives
Knowledge and understanding of features.
It consists of Identifying Language Features.
Identifying Language Features includes vocabulary. Vocabulary is carefully chosen by the writer to demonstrate or reinforce the genre the writing, its purpose, and the tone which the writer has chosen to adopt.
Third Kind of Assessment Objectives
Ability to write clearly, accurately, and effective.
This kind of assessment objectives a directed writing, which is producing pieces of writing similar to the original passage that you commented.
