Prof Berdine van den Toren lived for more than 8 years in the Central African Republic, where together with her husband, they worked at the Faculté de Théologie

Evangélique. From 2005 to 2014 they lived in Oxford, United Kingdom, where

Berdine worked in mission education – training people working across cultures – for the Church Mission Society. Now back in the Netherlands, Berdine serves as a CMS Mission Partner, to support theological and missiological education in Africa and Asia. She is working on a PhD in missiology, at the Protestant Theological University in Groningen.

A study of teaching methods and strategies based on the teaching and learning process. Practicum experiences in preparation, presentation, assessment and evaluation of lessons will be an essential component of this course.

Dr Benno van den Toren is currently the Professor of Intercultural Theology at the Protestant Theological University in Groningen,

Netherlands. He has served as Acting Vice-Principal and Dean at Wycli�e

Hall, Oxford, and also taught apologetics, ethics and doctrine in French-speaking Africa.

In this course, we will reflect on whether and how as Christians we can give a reason account of the Gospel in the religiously pluralist world to which God has called us. In order to do so we will look at religious diversity and their alternative religious claims in the light of the Christian faith. In addition, the role and possibilities for apologetic witness in a religiously diverse world will be explored.

This unit is concerned with the foundations of interpersonal communication. The focus is on students understanding themselves and extending their capacity to companion troubled people in ways that are hospitable, authentic, compassionate, non-judgemental, non-directive and helpful. The focus will be on deepening the experience of walking with others, extending the capacity for redemptive listening, fostering an action-prayer-reflection rhythm as basic to interpersonal encounters.

As for the topic on the person of the counselor, it will focus on models of personality, the self, and issues arising from the interaction of the family of origin, as a context for students to explore personal areas of strength and weaknesses.

It seeks to assist those working in people helping professions to di�erentiate their own personal issues from those of others, and that they have come to some measures of wholeness before seeking to apply intervention strategies with others.

the mental health and counseling work in Mcare. She sees counseling as a good tool for self-growth and self-development. Siew Lin loves to trek. Her expedition to Everest Base Camp is one of her greatest encounter moment with God. Other than that, she just simply enjoyed a good cup of co�ee.

Centre Petaling Jaya. Lulus Ijazah Sarjana Muda pada tahun 1992. Beliau menjawab panggilan Tuhan untuk melayani

sepenuh masa pada tahun 1995. Pada awal tahun 2005, beliau melanjutkan

pelajaran dalam bidang teologi di BCM dan menamatkan pengajian pada tahun 2007.

KETERANGAN KURSUSTujuan Pendidikan Praktik adalah untuk menyepadukan pembelajaran dengan kemahiran pelayanan. Pelajar akan diberi peluang untuk membangun kecekapan melalui prestasi tugas pelayanan di bawah bimbingan penyelia.

PENYELARAS

Rev Peter Lai Kong Meng merupakan seorang Pensyarah BCM sepenuh masa dan Pengarah Pelayanan Penuntut dan Pendidikan Praktik.

METODOLOGIDalam masa 5 bulan, terdapat empat sesi di mana pelajar akan bertemu dengan Pembimbing Pendidikan Praktik. Pelajar juga akan bertemu dengan Mentor Pelayanan dan Pembimbing Pendidikan Praktik yang ditetapkan sebulan sekali sepanjang tempoh Pendidikan Praktik.
