ART OF STEM FESTIVAL$5000 Festival at Your Door Package

Every kit contains the elements you need to facilitate the station for as many as 250-500 students. You may need to supplement simple items like clay or tape for larger groups.

STEMvestigation StationsChoose any four stations. All stations are appropriate for ages Kindergarten through 8th grade. We’ve worked hard to ensure that all materials will engage and excite a range of students. You receive all materials to run the station for 250 to 500 kids. Students work in teams. You may order supplemental materials kits for additional students or use our materials list to add craft supplies.

SignageEach station has a wayfinding sign / banner to be hung in a room, doorway, or tent. Signs are not water resistant so take precautions if holding the event in inclement weather. You also receive the Art of STEM Banner to hang in the school or roadside.

TrainingMost stations are fairly self-explanatory, but we recommend a one-hour webinar in which our engineer-educator teams will demonstrate each station activity to your facilitators.

Follow UpThe Art of STEM Festival will arrive with a download code allowing your facilitators to access additional STEM and STEAM projects as well as the directions to all stations used in the festival.

SourcingAll materials are sourced using strict metrics for differentiation, scalability, and excellent STEAM to STEM programming. While we license these materials, the Ten80 Foundation does not own them. Please be aware of copyright issues when distributing materials.

Spread the WordYou will receive a customizable press release template as well as letters to send home with parents. You may also order t-shirts with the Art of STEM logo and your school’s crest directly from our offices in Portland.

ART OF STEM FESTIVAL$5000 Festival at Your DoorFull STEAM Ahead: Choose 4 STEMvestigations©

Every kit contains the elements you need to facilitate the station for as many as 250-500 students. You may need to supplement simple items like clay or tape for larger groups.

Clay BoatsCan you make a boat that floats and carries 10 grams of weight across the “pond?” Using only clay, students weigh, measure, design, and test their creations to meet the challenge.

Driving STEM©

Teams are the key to success, and working together to solve a problem puts you ahead of the pack. Radio controlled cars are the “vehicle” for measurement, data collection, analysis, and problem solving. Relay races for K-3 and Power Drag for 4-8 grades offer grade level challenges from the same kit.

Paper Geometry© (part of the STEAMStart© K-3 curriculum)Use paper, tape, cardstock, and ingenuity to design a product, produce a scale model, and test the design. From building windproof tiny houses to strong tool benches, each of three challenges requires testing a product to failure, just like an engineer in training. (STEMvestigations also use math in classrooms.)

Reverse EngineeringHow does a windup toy work? Observe. Draw and estimate. Take it apart to see what’s inside. Small groups use tools to understand the inner workings of kinetic toys. Can you put it back together again? Probably not…

Wedgnetix©and Wedgits©

Shapes and geometry are the key factors in Wedgits for K-3 and Wedgenetix for 4-8 grades. Teams use image cards to replicate the 2D picture in 3 dimensions. Build and check until the structure is complete!

Quadify© Math Challenge GamesBuild an understanding of perspective for problem solving while activating the imagination. Small groups work together or compete to finish the interlocking 3 dimensional geometric puzzles before time runs out…
