In recent years, the economy of Guangzhou has been developed rapidly. GDP grows Significantly.

Guangzhou is the frontier city of reform and opening up( 改革开放 ), also is the leader of the coastal cities of southern China. From the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Guangzhou was the largest trade port in China. It had the nickname of Millennium Commercial City( 千年商都 ) in Qing Dynasty. Its Comprehensive strength(综合实力 ) has been the NO.3 in China since 1992.

Nowadays, the secondary and tertiary industries in Guangzhou have great development, especially the information industry.

And the economic structure optimizes gradually , People's living standards and quality of living environment improved significantly. So we have reason to believe that Guangzhou has the qualification to host the Olympic Games.

• In addition, Most of people in Guangzhou like doing sport. 42.8% of people in Guangzhou are often active in doing sport and exercise. The sport infrastructure in Guangzhou is quite perfect. There are more than 10 thousand sports communities in Guangzhou Province. Hosting the Olympic Games is both government and the citizens’ cherished desire.

• Based on so much fact, we deeply hold the belief that Guangzhou has the ability to host the Olympic Games. And we hope we have the chance to achieve this dream.
