La reunión y tour del World Jersey Cattle Bureau del 2012, se llevará a cabo en el tropico, comenzando con el pre tour en la bella Guatemala, luego volaremos a Colombia para el Tour Principal, Post Tour A y B. Nosotros, en ASOJERSEY-Colombia, estamos muy entusiasmados con su visita, los invitamos a unirse nosotros, compartir experiencias con nuestros criadores, productores de Jersey y admirar nuestra gran variedad de climas.

Estaremos reunidos como todos los años, todos quienes compartimos un interés en la raza Jersey y la producción lechera, ya sea cría, producción o marketing. Cada uno de nosotros tiene algún conocimiento para compartir y el deseo de aprender más información sobre la producción y comercialización de las vacas jersey en el mundo.Con esto en mente, hemos creado un programa, el cual creemos va a ser una experiencia muy agradable y de aprendizaje para todos.

Comenzamos con el logotipo inicio de esta experiencia, hemos elegido un MOLA, donde se incluyen VACAS JERSEY adosadas, significando nuestro encuentro. El arte al fabricar esta mola refleja la síntesis de la cultura tradicional Kuna y la influencia del mundo moderno, son las molas de muchos colores, paneles aplicados de varias capas en las blusas usadas por las mujeres Kuna, indígenas de la costa norte de Colombia y Panamá en el

Mar Caribe. Los diseños de las molas, no sólo reflejan la gran sabiduría natural y artística, sino también elementos de una cultura muy original.

Colombia, le da la bienvenida, estamos dispuestos a mostrar nuestro ganado y nuestros atractivos turísticos de las ciudades que visitaremos.

Podrá ver por qué el ganado Jersey es la raza del siglo 21 para la producción de leche en nuestro medio. Usted apreciará cómo las vacas Jersey se comportan en esta variedad de climas tropicales, en función de la altitud sobre el mar nivel y de lo hermosa adaptabilidad a este colorido país y a su cultura ganadera.

The World Jersey Cattle Bureau meeting and tour 2012,will be held in the tropics, starting with the Pre-tour in the beautiful Guatemala, then flying to Colombia for the Main and Post-tour. We, at ASOJERSEY- Colombia, are very excited with your visit, you are invited to join us and share experiences with our Jersey breeders and producers in our great variety of climates.

We will be gathered as every year, as we all share an interest in jerseys and milk production, either from a breeding, production, or marketing standpoint. Each of us has some knowledge to share and desire to learn more about the production and marketing of jerseys inthe world.

With that in mind, we have put together a program, what we believe will be both an enjoyable and learning experience for everyone.

The logo is the beginning of this experience; we have chosen a designed MOLA, where we included JERSEYCOWS together, meaning our meeting. The artistry of a mola reflects a synthesis of traditional Kuna culture with the influences of the modern world. Molas are the colorful, multi-layered applique panels of blouses worn by Kuna women, natives in the north coast of Colombia

and Panamá at the Caribbean Sea. Mola designs do not only reflect great natural and artistic wisdom, but also elements of a very original culture.

Colombia, welcomes you, we are ready to show our cattle and our cities tourist attractions.

You will see why the Jersey cattle is the breed of the 21st century for the production of milk in our environment. You will experience how well jersey cows behave in this variety of tropic climates, depending on the altitude over the sea level and how beautiful they adapt to this colorful country and culture.

Bogotá, es la capital de Colombia, situada en el centro del país, en una vasta llanura a 2.640 metros sobre el nivel del mar y con una temperatura moderada; tiene una población de ocho millones de habitantes que provienen de todos los rincones de Colombia, una ciudad tan diversa como el país entero. With a population of almost 3 million it’s considered one of the fastest growing cities in South America. Medellín is called “Eternal Spring City “, it is a destination that encourages to have a good time, for its pleasant climate. Its friendly and warmth people, its great variety of flowers and fruits, as well as tourist attractions. Cradle of very valuable artists as the painter and important sculptor Master Fernando Botero, whose works can be admired in the Antioquia Museum. The average annual temperature is 22 degrees Celsius (72F). Medellín’s proximity to the equator means its temperatures stay constant year round with minimal variations. With this mild climate there is almost no need for air-conditioning or heating. The climate is one of the many reasons to be the city of the flowers, trees and greens.

Cartagena of the West Indies, or simply ‘Cartagena’ as it is widely known, is a thriving city on the northern coast of Colombia. It is the fifth largest city in Colombia. Located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea, north of the equator, the city experiences a tropical wet climate with high humidity. The winds from the Caribbean Sea help to cool the very high temperatures of up to 37ºC (98.5ºF).
