After serving products’ lifetime, when EnPol comes into contact with microorganisms in soil, compost, river or sea, they are completely biodegraded into water and carbon dioxide with no hazardous by-products.
EnPol does not generate hazardous wastes when they are incinerated.
When products are made of and/or coated using EnPol, they do not require surface treatment for printing.
EnPol is harmless to human and is suitable for food contact purposes.
EnPol has various product grades suited for various applications. In addition, customized grades can be developed for specific applications to satisfy our customers’ needs.

Controlling Biodegradability of EnPol
The biodegradation speed can be controlled and adjusted as needed by modulating
variables in molecular levels as well as polymer compositions applying different grades
of EnPol. Shown below are test results acquired applying the standards,
EN 13432 (2000) and ASTM D6400-12. (90% of biodegradation within 180days)

The biodegradation speed can be controlled and adjusted as needed by
modulating starch content. In general, as the starch content increases,
the biodegradation rate is accelerated as well.
Shown below are the results of biodegradability of PBG7070 with starch
blended materials. (composting condition : 58℃ ± 2)

PBAT(PBG7070) blended with PLA has good properties as plastic bags. This bag has
similar strength, stiffness, printability, processability on blown film compared with
conventional plastic bag.

While EnPol is classified as a non-hazardous material, the followings should be
noticed in order to avoid unexpected accidents when handling.
Storage : Temperatures during transportation and storage may not exceed
60℃ at any time. Storage period of unopened bag may not surpass 18 months
at room temperature. (25℃)
Health : Use appropriate measures to avoid direct inhalations of the product.
