Dakuten [OR] Maru Ten-Ten
てんてん and まる• Adding a てん てん (te-n-te-n AKA
Dakuten) or まる (ma-ru) to some of the Hiragana letters gives a new pronunciation. (Dakuten, 濁点 , is more often called ten-ten in speech)
• Ten-ten comes from the Japanese word for point, Ten, 点 . Maru comes from the Japanese word for circle, maru, 丸 .

Points to ponder
• Two ji - じ and ぢ • Two zu - ず and づ• じ and ず are widely used while it does
not mean ぢ and づ are not used at all. They are used less common.

(Homemade), こつづみ (parcel/package), etc.
