(1)Assembly Equipment and Material (A) After you open rack and equipment box, arrange equipment based on the plan sheet, and anchor them to the rack using rack bolt. For user’s convenience, control devices such as power and SP group need to be assembled with 20% of extra space for other equipment.

(B) PVC DUCT Installment a) A material should be a standard type with line hole and gray product which passed flame-resistance test.

b) Cutting the duck depends on rack sizes. Cutting wire passage.

You should check voltage power before the connection, and connect to power distributor through duct with AC cord inside.

Devices that need constant power supply need to use Un-SWED, and use SWED for other devices. Use name tag tie to dis-tinguish wires and cables.

When you connect devices to AC outlet, you have to calculate capacity to avoid overload. (Un-SWED 700W, SWED 6000W) Battery input connects to battery charge.

(2) DC LINE Connection (A) DC (Direct Current)

In general, DC means electric current that has fixed power and direction. In a broad sense, it is electric current with fixed direction. DC also means two types of electricity: 1. Electricity from a battery or a di-rect current dynamo. 2. Electricity that is rectified by mercury rectifier. (B) Connecting Method

DC cable should be compatible with voltage power and capacity and has to be consist of +(red) and –(black).

Devices that need constant power supply need to use Un-SWED, and use SWED for other devices.

The end section connects to Terminal block with Y ter-minal.

(3) SYSTEM Rack Power Connection Please check electricity requirement, voltage power, and power cables for each building’s broadcasting system based on the plan sheet. PA system requires a single-phase current(220V 20A) separated from the lighting system. Compose a power line between system rack and UPS power’s panel board. Check short and disconnection in wires. Connect to power distributor input power terminal of system rack if there is no problem after checking a power line. Use FR-CV for system rack power line.

(4) Emergency Battery Connection The capacity for emergency battery should follow calculated capability for each building and office. Composition for battery capacity is 24V output power and increasing capacity with direct 12V type connection. Emergency battery needs to be connected to its charger and power distributor DC IN input with each +, -. Terminal connection part uses Insulated Ring Type Terminal. Installed battery is recommended to be stored in its case, and need a hole in Cover part.

(5) System Rack Ground Connection Connect System Rack to ground with a conducting wire to avoid electric-related accident such as electric shock. Connect Rack ground from ground box by using FC-GV ground wire.

(1) UTP LINE Connection (A) UTP CABLE (unshielded twisted pair cable ) UTP Cable is a multiple paired cable made by two twisted copper wire with plastic exterior for insulation purpose. Generally used in standard phone cable and LAN(Local Area Network). This cable is standard signal cable which is used in 100Mbit LAN card, and consist of RJ-45 connector and cable. Inner cable is consist of 8 signal wires, which are 4 sets of paired wires. Each wire has different colors, and each color follows stan-dardized pin number.

The actual signal wires are 4 of them, and the others are used in ground connection. There are direct cable and cross cable according to the con-nection type. Direct cable a.k.a 1:1 cable has two same colored ends ca-ble with the same cable order. It is used when connecting computer and hub. Otherwise, cross cable is not consist of same colored wires. Our products use a direct cable, and the cable divides into several categories up to its quality.

Among categories, the standard is UTP cable that is categorized by quali-ties. The lowest quality product is marked by 1, and the highest is marked by 5. Up to category 2, normal phone wire is used. Category 3 is used in 10Mbps LAN, and Category 4 includes 16Mbps token-ring network. Cate-gory 5 is used in 100Mbps LAN, and our system uses CAT 5E.

(3) DATA Connection

a) UTP CABLE – How to make RJ45 JACK Adjust CAT5E cable length for each device’s wire requirement, and strip the cable for RJ45 JACK insert. Untwist, adjust, and cut the cable according to color order before punching in RJ45 TOOL. Test the cable using LAN TEST TOOL.

(2) RS-232 Network

RS-232 is one of the interfaces that connects PC, sound coupler, and modem directly. Interface is also called a port, or direct port in general. This can transfer data directly with the speed of under 20K band within 15m.

(2) CONTACT Contact is used as a circuit switchgear such as switch or relay. Materials for the contact are usually plated with copper or silver to preserve conductivity. Especially, an alloy of copper and tungsten is used for electric current contact because it gives more solidity with higher fusion point. The functions of contact in PA system are: 1) P-Type contact output in fire detector delivers fire alarm broadcasting when it takes Inter-M product’s fire sensor input. (need to be connected to COM(common) terminal in fire detector) 2) Transmitting Input/Output of network device 3) Controlling power distributor (connect to REMOTE SW terminal in power distributor) You can also apply it depends on system composition.

(1) Types of Audio JACK and Connection

1) XLR JACK If a core wire is exposed when you make XLR cable, make insulate to avoid short with near circuit. Also, check input/output terminal type when using parallel/non-parallel jack. Check the right order for Female/Male cable before soldering operation. For shield line, operate shrink tube work.

2) 55 (PHONE)JACK Use Balanced/Unbalanced device in proper way. Be cautious not to spread solder sphere when you solder. To find a problem, check the device with end-to-end test after operation.

4) Balanced/Unbalanced There are two types of audio signal transmitting method : Balanced and Unbalanced It is the same that both of methods transmit signals, but the difference is that balanced type transmits the same signal in the mode of + and – to use the contrast of both signals at End Point; while unbalanced type only transmits + signal to use the contrast of ground and signal at End Point. Due to this structure, balanced cable transmits normal current wave to one end, and negative sequence current wave to the other end. In other words, it is the same with Sin & Sin-1 graph. Even if a noise comes in, it reverses negative sequence current wave to the other to make + wave and – wave the same. In this case, noise will be offset. Unbalanced cable does not have this compensation process, so it generates noise when the noise comes in.

5) Audio Cable It is consist of two separate core wires and one shield, and +/- ground signals are transmit through cable. A material for normal audio cable is usually copper wires, and oxygen level in the copper is 0.03% to 0.05%. If the ratio is under 0.001%, it is called OFHC copper. This type of copper has high level of ductility and durability, as well as transmits electronic signal without distortion. Normally, we use 2E5 Shield cable from CANARE, and multi-channel cable in PA equipment.

(5) RACK Equipment Connection Refer to the below connection map, connect cable through duct channel for each device. Use standard line, and check input/output terminal when op-erate connector. Use insulate ring terminal when connecting Screw Termi-nal if the line is longer than 2.0 ㎟ . If the line is shorter than 2.0 ㎟ , a core wire need to be organized after stripping the end terminal. Every single line must connect to the right polarity to avoid mis-wiring. Put name tag tie for the future maintenance.

Put name tag tie to the end of terminal, and fasten the middle using black tie in proper size. Use 5 or 10 colored cable to connect between AMP and Monitor panel, and identify the first and the end point in the order of resis-tance band.

6-1) SPEAKER CABLE Types 1) FR3(Insulated heat-resistant cable): A cable for signal control used in a fire alarm and emergency alarm circuit

2) CVV-SB(Insulated PVC Sheathed Control Cable with copper braid shield): A cable for control circuit under 600V. Used in a duct or underground, and maximum conductor temperature is 60℃.

3) CVV-S(Insulated PVC Sheathed Control Cable) : A cable for control circuit that requires electrostatic shielding. Maximum conductor tempera-ture is 60℃.

(6) Speaker Cable Connection

6-2) SPEAKER CABLE Connection Before the connection, make sure that connecting operation does not in-tervene other operations. Connect with stripped end or normal end accord-ing to the type of wire, and check SP resistance level using an impedance meter device before connection. When you connect more than 10 CORE according to a SP cable plan map, conduct inner order operation to avoid interference. Operations should be consider the future maintenance and repair.

1) Speaker Line Connection Adjust a cable between rack and terminal box(Calculate access floor), and connect to end terminal box with amp rack relay group connection part us-ing proper length and stripped end. Attach RING or FORK to the terminal connection insulated terminal. For PUSH terminal connection, strip the terminal end to avoid disorganized core wire. Use Flexible PVC tube when using HIV/HIFX cable in inner skin exposure section. For center terminal box, operation need to be done according SP cable plan map. To avoid interference, physical isolation is required for speaker wiring and line wiring. (Use stripper or cutter for stripping operation)

2) Impedance Test Check the line impedance before connecting amplifier to prevent overload, and record speaker circuit impedance. It should be higher than amplifier’s impedance. If impedance is too high/low, a duct line should be examined.

(7) PC PROGRAM Setting 7-1) PC S/W Installation Install supplement PC program refer to user manual 7-2) PC H/W Installation 1) NETWORK : Connect PC ~ Equipment LAN PORT IN/OUT 2) SERIAL : Recent PC does not have a serial port, so buy a communication

port(RS232/422) to find control panel driver in PC.

- Set PC control panel port and PA broadcast operation program port identically.

Conduct cable tie operation on connection parts in each system, and put name tag tie for the future maintenance, and attach system plan map be-hind the rack. When cutting cable tie, adhere perfectly to avoid BURR. Keep label and manual for each equipment for user convenience. To avoid a contact problem in each connector, remove dust and waste from the device while checking pull-out strength.

· CH LED light set by R-Receiver will be on when receives data (1) When light is on

· Check output contact CH light on ES-6132R rear panel (MULTI TESTER)
