● Danske Bank (founded in 1871, Headquartered in Copenhagen) is the largest bank

in Denmark and a major retail bank in the northern European region with over 5

million retail customers. Danske Bank was number 454 on the Fortune Global 500

list for 2011.

● In 2014 Danske Bank decided to start its own captive technology centre in India. Thus

Danske IT, a subsidiary of Danske Bank was created in Bangaluru. This captive

technology centre has recently started its operations and plans to employ around

1,000 people to begin with (presently the have approx 800 people onboard).

● Jim Ditmore is the chief operating officer (COO) and group head for IT and services.

Ditmore joined Danske Bank in March 2014 and was previously with Barclays where

he was the chief information officer (CIO) for retail and commercial banking

operations.

● In Dec 2014 Danske appointed Pankaj Gupta, the Global IT Head of Retail Banking

and Wealth Management at HSBC, to head its technology operations in India

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Recruitment Specialist will work closely with Managers and Employees in India, as well asrelevant staff members from Group HR, Unit HR and HR Services.
