系所教育目標

電子工程學系融合本系所優良傳統,及引領國內電子科技之教育與研究,並立足全球之競爭,針對三大方向,訂出本系所之教育目標如下:

1.奠定專業知識:

養成學生具備電子工程基礎與專業知識,並配合實作,達到理論與實務相結合之目的。使學生具備推論、分析、創新及整合能力。

2.實踐多元學習:

教育學生具備寬廣之知識、溝通技巧與團隊精神,以迎接不同生涯發展之挑戰。教育學生瞭解專業倫理及社會責任。

3.開拓國際視野:

根據本系之教育目標,本系希望學生能夠在畢業時具備下表所列之核心能力:

Educational Objectives and Student Outcomes of Department of Electronics Engineering for IEET Accreditation

Educational Objectives :The educational objectives of NCTU EE are to educate students to be able to :

1.Build professional expertise :

Educate students fundamental and advanced professional knowledge in electronics engineering, and with the help of laboratory exercises facilitate integrated grasp of theory and practice, so that students may acquire abilities in theorization, analysis, innovation, and integration pertaining to the field of electronics engineering.

2.Implement a diverse education :

Educate students to learn broad knowledge, communication skills, and teamwork to face challenges of career development. Educate students to understand professional ethics and social responsibility.

3.Broaden a global perspective :

Build the internationalized learning environment to make students to penetrate the trend of the global society and industry, and develop them as global elites and leaders in electronics.

Student Outcomes :

NCTU EE educates students to acquire the core abilities by the time they graduate.

1.Build professional expertise :

(1)Major expertise in mathematics and physics, and minor expertise in chemistry and biology.

(2)Professional expertise and ability in the fields related to electronics and computer engineering.

(3)Real-world applications of techniques in electronics and computer engineering. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems, and to create innovate ideas within the fields.

(4)Technical writing, presentation skills, and continuous learning habit, ability.

2.Implement a diverse education :

一、沿革、特色與學術地位History, Strengths and Academic Standing

國立交通大學源自民國前十六年(西元一八九六年)創立之南洋公學,百年來以培養我國應用科學人材著稱。早在民國前五年即成立了全球華人世界第一個電機工程學系,為我國的電機事業立下了堅實的基礎。民國四十六年,政府以電機科學發展至速,應用至廣,對國家建設關係重大,而國立交通大學以往辦理電機工程教育,績效卓越,遂核准海內外校友在台復校之請求,於民國四十七年先行成立電子研究所,以培育電子科學的尖兵。為進一步配合科技及工業發展之需,於民國五十三年恢復大學部,首先成立電子工程學系,以擴充科技人力之基礎,在師生努力下,發展日益蓬勃,肩負國所重託,努力向目標邁進。

本系教學研究的目標為培養高級電子資訊科技人材,研究發展尖端科技,為電子工業及國家建設奠定基石。本系現階段發展重點為微電子材料、技術、元件、電路、系統及其在資訊、通訊、民生及生醫科技方面之應用。目前計有助理教授以上專任教師五十七位。自七十五年起,每年招收兩班學士班新生、兩組碩士班新生、兩組博士班新生,目前計有學士班學生約有四百餘人,碩士班學生固態電子組約有一百九十人、電路與系統組約有二百五十人,博士班學生固態電子組約有一百三十人、電路與系統組約有一百六十人,畢業系友約有七千多人,分別在國內外學術界、研究機構、工業界及企業界服務,成為科技發展及國家建設的中堅。

本系課程均逐年規劃創新,以求與尖端電子科技發展同步。在專業課程安排上,注重微電子元件及積體電路設計、技術及應用的深度及廣度,並兼顧物理、數學及材料等基礎課程;在奈米電子領域從物理、材料、製程、元件、電路到系統之師資、課程、設備完整,充分垂直整合,發展歷史悠久,成果享譽國際。在2012年IEDM及2013年ISSCC兩大國際指標會議上,各發表五篇論文,遠超過歐美一流大學和研究機構,是全台灣發表論文數量最多的單一學系。由於新世紀電子資訊科技之快速進步與變化,為使本系持續走在科技的尖端,維持高度的研發活力,除了繼續在原有之奈米電子材料、製程、元件與IC設計繼續發展外,更將利用原有之奈米電子優勢,在微(光)機電、4C(電腦、通訊、消費性電子、車用電子)整合應用之系統晶片(SoC, System on a Chip)技術、三維積體電路(3DIC)、高速寬頻網際網路技術、生物科技及醫學電子等領域加強發展。

此外,本系學生亦可選修本校相關學系所開授之電腦、控制、通訊、資訊等方面的相關課程,甚至部份管理、經濟、商業、法律、文學等專業課程,以增加學生知識之廣度。本系以培育新世紀科技研發菁英及國際企業領袖為教學宗旨與特色,並提供全額獎學金,赴國外一流大學進修一學期或一年。 

National Chiao Tung University originated from Shanghai Nan Yang University which was first established in 1896. For over a century, National Chiao Tung University has been known for cultivating Chinese and Taiwanese talents of applied science. Dated back to 1906, NCTU (National Chiao Tung University) had founded the very first Department of electrical Engineering among all oriental countries. And thus solid groundwork has been founded in accordance with Taiwanese enterprises of electrical engineering ever since. Electrical engineering has progressed rapidly and been applied broadly which is concerned with national development. In 1957, because of distinguishing achievements NCTU had accomplished on both educational and academic levels, Taiwanese government hence approved of rehabilitating NCTU in Taiwan. Institute of Electronics was founded first in 1958 for nurturing electronics science elites. In coordination with the needs of high-tech industry, undergraduate school was reestablished in 1964; department of Electronics Engineering was set up at first. With qualified lecturers and students all determined to enhance the foundation of technology talents, NCTU has risen and flourished for decades and is ready to take on challenges and fulfill its goal.

Our department and research institution aim at cultivating advanced IT elites, exploiting high technology and laying the foundation of national development. The current priority is concerned with microelectronic material, technology, device, circuit and system and the applications to information, communication and biomedicine dimensions. Presently, department of EE (Electronics Engineering) has 57 lecturers (of and upward assistant professor). Since 1986, we have enrolled undergraduate students, master students and PhD students, two classes each, every year. At present, our department has over four hundred undergraduates, around a hundred and nighty master students major in solid-state electronics, two hundred and fifty master students major in circuits and systems (VLSI), a hundred and thirty PhD students of solid-state electronics, a hundred and sixty PhD students of circuits and systems (VLSI) and over seven thousand alumni who had graduated from NCTU department of EE. Over decades, they’ve been the backbone in academy, research institutions, industries and enterprises worldwide. They are the main force of science and technology advancement and national development.

Each year, we’d modify and innovate our courses so as to synchronize with the latest high-tech establishments. For specialized fields, we focus on microelectronic device, integrated circuit, applications and technology in both depth and breadth and fundamental courses on physics, mathematics and materials. As for nanoelectronics, from physics, materials, process, device, circuit to system, we have a thorough and consistent frame of research that takes qualified lecturers, courses and equipment all into account. NCTU department of EE has a long-standing history of establishments and is renowned worldwide. In 2012 IEDM and 2013 ISSCC, two of the most known international conferences, NCTU department of EE published 5 papers in each, exceeding numerous western top universities and research institutes and has become the very department with the most published papers in the world. Since IT has evolved and progressed rapidly in 21 century, in addition to go along with the original fields (nanoelectronics, process, device and IC), we’d furthermore exploit our advantages on nanoelectronic, integrate SoC (System on a Chip), 3DIC, high-speed broadband Internet, biotechnology and medical electronics and apply these on MEMS and 4C products so as to maintain the vitality and creativity and remain the most advanced research institute.

Moreover, to expand the horizon of knowledge, students of NCTU department of EE can also take optional/elective courses on computer science, communication, information technology or even management, economics, business, law and literature spheres. Our department has one utmost purpose, and that is to cultivate the new high-tech elites and leaders of international enterprises. To fulfill our commitment, we offer full scholarship for outstanding individuals to pursue exchange student programs at schools abroad for one semester or a year.

環境資源 Environments and Resources

電子系的大本營―工程四館(本大樓英文代碼為ED),有學生專用的系圖書室、系電腦室、24小時自習室(系K),都有便捷的無線網路覆蓋,供系上同學使用。此外,系上課程理論與實驗並重,設有10間教學實驗室、近60間研究實驗室,安排最完整的實驗課程。在這樣的環境,學習豐富的電資領域相關知識,可說是相當地享受呢!

The headcounter of NCTU department of EE - Engineering Building 4 (ED) has its own library, computer room and 24-7 individual study room for students and all three places have free Wi-Fi. In addition to these, we have 10 labs for teaching and about 60 labs for research in accordance to our norms – theories and experiments are of equal importance. With the most integrated courses and such environments, it‘s an enjoyment to acquire computer engineering knowledge within.

1. ED113系圖書館、系史館暨系學會:這個空間是電子系學生最喜歡的地點,形同小型交誼廳,窗明几淨,可閱讀、上網、聯絡感情。ED113, Library, Hall of History, and the Location of Student Association: This is the EE students’ favorite spot of the building not because it’s bright, neat and tidy but because it’s students’ mini lounge. Perfect for reading, making friends and surfing on the Internet.

2. ED414、ED415系電腦室:電子系學生可以在此進行資訊運算,本空間嚴禁飲食,並請記得攜帶外套喔。ED414, ED415 Computer Room: Students are free to conduct information operations here with no food and drinks allowed. Remember to bring an overcoat with you.

3. ED104、ED105系K書中心(24小時自習室) :陪大家度過許多熬夜唸書的夜晚,安靜的空間需要大家一起注意音量。ED104, ED105 Individual Study Room (24-7 K): The room where numerous students stay up late studying together in countless nights. Beware of your volume, it might startle and irritate others.

四、卓爾學程 Zhuó ěr Program (Eminent Program)

卓爾一詞取自漢書「夫唯大雅,卓爾不群」,有才德出眾、與眾不同的意思;電子系推出的卓爾學程,包含「卓觀菁英留學計畫」、「卓識海外研習計畫」與「卓玉系友導師計畫」。

本系堅信青年人才透過各種學習途徑向世界伸出觸角,會帶來影響一生的養分,因此以「卓觀菁英留學計畫」為卓爾計畫的核心專案,拓展學生國際視野,嘗試運用不同的學習方法及邏輯思維激盪的科學火花;另推動「卓識海外研習計畫」,結合本系電子工程專題的研討技巧,與本系海外合作的一流學府研究實驗室,甚或是企業,經過面試、媒合與專案實習,激發跨文化團隊合作能力、深入體驗當地經濟文化、拓展全球視野,藉由與眾不同的國際實務經驗,成為全球所需的國際化人才;而無論是「菁英留學」或是「海外研習」,都非常仰賴本系領先各院系、率先推動的「卓玉系友導師計畫」的運作,本系系友推動「築夢計畫」多年,除資助系上學弟妹出國留學經費,亦以自身的經驗傳承,發揮「交大幫」精神, 五十年來「交大幫交大人」,「交大人幫交大人」,「交大人幫交大」,本系學長姐提供在校學弟妹生活上、未來職場上及生涯規劃上的諮詢與指導,良師益友般的關照,不但是薪火相傳,更為學弟妹體現「飲水思源」的意涵。

The word “zhuó ěr” came from History of the Former Han Dynasty “fū wéi dà yǎ, zhuó ěr bù qún”, meaning one has exceeding virtue and talent and thus is distinguished. NCTUEE launched Zhuó ěr Program (Eminent Program) which consists of three parts: Elites Studying Abroad Program, Abroad Intership and Research and Alumnus Mentoring Program.

NCTU EE is deeply convinced that talents who are exposed to internationally educational influence could benefit from it for a lifetime. Therefore, with Elites Studying Abroad Program as the core, NCTU EE expect Zhuó ěr Program (Eminent Program) to be the media of broadening students’ horizon. Students can draw on different studying approach and logical thoughts and spark of innovative ideas. Abroad Intership and Research on the other hand, is for NCTU EE students to cooperate with enterprises and research labs of oversea first-class schools. Through interview, matching and internships, new perspective would be derived from because of cross-cultural cooperation. With one-of-a-kind international intern experience, NCTU EE students can become qualified elites worldwide. Both Elites Studying Abroad Program and Abroad Intership and Research require the assistance of our Alumnus Mentoring Program which is prompted by NCTU EE ahead of every other department of NCTU. NCTU EE alumni have set Fulfillment Program in action for years. Besides funding our students to study abroad they also pass down personal experiences. Over five decades, EE alumni provide EE students guidance and consulting on educating, working experiences and career plans. They are friends and mentors who look out after our students from generation to generation. “April showers bring May flowers.” NCTU EE has always lived up to this notion.

(1) 甲組(國際學程)學生建議每學期修5學分以上的英語授課課程,升大四(大三)前至少須修滿20學分英語授課的專業課程,其中本系英語授課之專業必/選修需達12學分(含)以上,方能符合資格赴國外留學。

(2) 乙組學生如欲爭取出國交換獎學金,升大四(大三)前亦須至少須修滿20學分英語授課的課程,其中本系英語授課之專業必/選修需達12學分(含)以上。

(3) 英語授課課程為英語授課之選修、必修課,非指英語語文類課程。

3. 學期修習科目規定(1)根據八十三學年度第二次教務會議決議,大學部每一學期各年級學生選課學分下限規定如下:一 至三年級下限為15學分;四年級下限為9學分(其中至少一門為專業選修課程)。 (According to resolutions made in second meeting of Academic Affairs Meeting in 1994, undergraduates must take at least 15 credits per semester during their freshmen to junior years, and at least 9 credits (with one elective professional course included) per semester during senior year.)

外語Foreign Languages

8-12學分。大一上、下學期必修英文基礎課程各2學分,大二以上必修英文進階或其它外文(日文、德文、法文)至少4學分,至多8學分。For native students, 8 to 12 credits are required before graduation. For freshmen, it comprises 2 credits from Basic English courses each semester; for sophomores and above, 4 to 8 credits from Advanced English courses or other foreign languages courses (Japanese, German, French, etc.)

通識General education courses

至多20學分承認為畢業學分。大學部一、二年級每學期至多修二門。大學部三、四年級每學期至多修三門。

For native students, At most 20 credits would be counted as graduation credits. For freshmen and sophomores, at most two courses can be taken per semester. For juniors and seniors, at most three courses per semester. (At least 4 credits from liberal arts, 4 from social sciences, and 2 from natural sciences category.)

體育課程Physical Education

八十一學年度(含)以後入學之學生,大一至大三每學期均需修體育課,大四體育課為選修計1學分(惟入門課程仍計0學分)。體育課學分不併入各學系最低畢業學分數內計算。Students enrolling after 1992 are required to take Physical Education (with no credits) every semester during their freshmen to junior years. PE classes for freshmen are appointed by their departments. For sophomores and above, students can choose courses opened for their year but may NOT join freshmen’s courses. For seniors who take Physical Education courses, only one credit would be admitted by NCTU per course, and yet these credits can NOT be considered minimum graduation credits.

軍訓(護理)課程Military (Nursing) Education Courses

八十五學年度起軍訓課程全部改為選修,軍訓課程每週上課2小時計2學分,惟其學分不併入各學系最低畢業學分內計算。護理課程每週上課2小時計2學分,至多可採計4學分於各學系最低畢業學分內計算,八十六學年度以前入學者,從寬認定。All courses have been elective since 1996. Students are not required to take these courses. For students who take Military Education Courses, they’ll get 2 credits from each course (2 hours per week). These credits may not be considered graduation credits. For students who take Nursing Courses, they’ll get 2 credits from each course (2 hours per week). A maximum of 4 credits may be considered graduation credits.)

※Notice : For foreign students from countries other than Taiwan, requirements must be fulfilled as following:

International students must complete general education courses of no less than 28 credits according to the following arrangement:

預修Taking advanced courses

係指修習高年級必修或選修課程Taking required or elective courses which are from higher grades.

共同必修:須授課老師同意

專業必修:須經系主任同意始得預修

Required common courses: Students must ask for authorization from the instructor of that course.

Required professional courses: Students must ask for authorization from their own department chairman.

遲修Putting off courses

係指該年級共同或專業必修課程跳過不修Skipping the required common or professional courses that must be taken

within the year.

共同必修:學生如得原授課老師同意得遲修,但若將來因衝堂及老師限修而修不到或忘了補修而不能如期畢業,學生應自行負責。

專業必修:學生若重修科目眾多,得由導師建議申請遲修,但仍須系主任同意。

Required common course: Students must take their own

responsibilities if they cannot graduate in time because

of putting off taking courses even though they’ve asked for

authorization from the instructor of that course.

Required professional courses: Student who has too many retaking courses may apply for delaying course-taking under instructors’ suggestion. However, he/she must ask for authorization from department chairman.

跨修Crossing registration

係指修習同年級必修或選修課程,但跨班或跨系修課Taking required or elective courses which are of the same year but from different class or department.

共同必修:跨班(系)修課,須兩班(系)授課老師同意。

專業必修:跨班修課,經兩班授課老師同意後向系上登記,由系主任裁決。跨系修課,需兩系對此科目的規劃相同,經兩系授課老師同意,由系主任裁決。

專業選修:同專業必修之規定,但不須系主任裁決。

備註說明:本系大三以上的課程,本系同學跨到外系大二修習相同課程名稱的課,經系主任批核跨修單後,則可列入大三、大四的專業必修或選修學分。每學期以跨修一門為原則(暑修併入第一學期計算)。

Required common courses: Students who need cross-department or cross-class course taking must ask for authorization from the instructors of that course in both departments or classes.

Required professional courses: Students who need cross-class course taking must have the approval of the instructors of that course in both classes while applying for it, and they must ask for authorization from student’s own department chairman. Students who need cross-department course taking must ask for authorization from the instructors of that course in both classes and student’s own department chairman.

Elective professional courses: The same as the regulation of required professional except for asking for authorization from student’s own department chairman.

Remarks: For junior and senior students of our department, if you plan to take courses for other departments’ sophomores, your credits may be approved providing: Ⅰ. This sophomore course has exactly the same title of one of your required/elective professional courses. Ⅱ.The chairperson of our department has approved on your “Request Form for Cross Registration”.

重修Retaking courses

係指因前次不及格而重覆修習低年級必修或選修課程

Taking required or elective courses which are from a lower grade again due

to failing last time.

共同必修:須授課老師同意。

專業必修:以修本系為原則,若因衝堂而欲去外系重修,則兩系對此科目的規劃必須相同。

Required common courses: Students must ask for

authorization from the instructor of that course.

Required professional courses: In principle, students must take the courses in their own department. They can take the same courses in other department under one circumstance: conflicting of time. (The curriculum planning of both courses in both departments must be the same.)

覆修Taking similar courses

係指重覆修習性質相同而前次已及格的課程Taking similar courses that one has passed.

共同必修:不可覆修。

專業選修:因各系課程名稱不完全一致,或課程設計精神相異,造成學生覆修的情形,本系不准覆修。

備註說明:避免覆修是學生的責任,不確定是否覆修可請教導師或授課老師,畢業時覆修學分不列入畢業學分。

例如:通識課目的「世界文明史」及人社系的「世界文明史(一)」、「世界文明史(二)」,98學年度第二學期以後若重覆修習則不得同時列入畢業學分中計算。目前已知之覆修案例見附表五。

Required common courses: It is not allowed.

Required professional courses: It is not allowed to take courses repeatedly if the difference between two courses only exists in names or curriculum planning among departments whereas two courses share the same or similar contents. It is student’s responsibility to avoid repeat course-taking. If students are not sure, they can ask the instructors. Repeat course-taking credits cannot be count for graduation credits.

7. 轉系生、轉學生成績及學分之認定,參照「國立交通大學學生抵免學分辦法」。

The credits recognition of transferring students from other departments or universities is based on

‘Credits Transferring Regulations of National Chiao Tung University’.

8. 大學部學生所修研究所課程,於就讀研究所時可申請抵免,且每科成績須達一定標準【請參考研究生手冊規定】,向本校電子研究所申請抵免。

Students who have taken graduate courses in undergraduate year can apply for transferring the credits to their graduate school if the course grades are above a certain level. Please refer to Master Student Handbook.

9. 若有上述規定未規範之情形或學生有特殊原因者,請洽系主任裁決。

If there is any special case or reason not mentioned above, students should ask for authorization from their own department chairman.

10. 以上之規定及其修訂需經本系課程規劃委員會及系所務會議通過。The regulations and their amendment should be approved by Curriculum Planning Committee and Conference of Department and Institute Affairs.
