How it goes? / どのような形式で行うか？

• February and August• 60 minutes prior to a regular

meeting• 11 minutes per presenter

• Allocated time would be changed, but total time is not longer than 60 minutes.

• Vote by active members.• Written feedback by

members to the presenter.

Q&A / 質問と答え1. I am a new member. Can I propose my idea?

– Yes, you can. Members are able to participate in the Open Bidding.

2. I have excellent ideas but I am not confident in winning the bidding. I am not sure if I should propose my idea.

– Please ask someone for seconding speech. 3. My idea is small and probable we can learn it in a single m

eeting. Can I propose it?– Yes, you can. Please note that VPE would ask to combine it wit

h other smaller ideas (if there are) to make up bigger topic which would benefit the club members.

4. Can I propose Japanese only sessions for three meetings?– Please convince the members and win the bidding.

5. I need 4 meetings to conclude my ideas. Can I propose it?– Please convince the members and win the bidding.

6. Can I propose Rakugo (or Stand-up comedy) in future meetings?

– You could do it if you could clearly explain how we could use TM programs and convince the audience.

7. Can I propose Debate training? – Yes, you can. Toastmasters offer Debate program, so please co

nvince the audience and win the bidding. Good luck.8. I want to do the Prepared Speech session like many other

clubs do. Can I propose it?– Yes, you can. Please convince the audience.

9. How many Ideas can a member propose?– You can propose as many ideas as possible, however it there a

re many applicants, VPE may ask you to propose the best one.

1. 私は新会員ですが、提案できますか？– はい、会員であれば誰でも提案できます。

2. 私にはよいアイデアがあるのですが、コンペで勝つ自信がないので迷っています。

– 応援演説を依頼できます。自分がお願いしたい人に直接お願いしてください。

3. 私のアイデアは 1 回の例会で完結するようなものですが提案できるでしょうか？

– はい、できます。ただし他にも一回の例会で完結する同種の提案があれば、 VPE がそちらと組み合わせて複数回のコンテンツにすることを推奨することもあります。

4. 3 回（ 3 ヶ月）全部日本語でもよいでしょうか？– コンペで会員を説得できれば可能です。

5. どうしても 4 回分になってしまうのですが、だめでしょうか？

– コンペで会員を説得できれば可能です。6. 落語をやりたいのですが、可能ですか？

– トーストマスターズの教育プログラムとの関連を明確に説明でき、かつ会員を説得できれば可能です。

7. ディベートをやりたいのですが、可能ですが？– トーストマスターズにはディベートプログラムがあり

ますので可能です。コンペで会員を説得してください。8. 普通のクラブのように準備スピーチをもっとやりた

いのですが、提案できますか？– コンペで会員を説得できれば可能です。

9. 一人いくつまで提案できますか？– 複数できますが、提案者が多い場合は一つにしてもら

うことがあります。

How to apply? / 申し込みについて• VPE sends an online

application form to club members.

• VPE から、オンラインでの申し込みフォームを会員に送付する。
