What we get? / 何を決めるか？• What we get in the Open Bidding?

– Variable programs (Club business, IceBreaking session, the Fantasista moments, general evaluation session are out of scope.) (New) Please refer to the proposal for changing the meeting framework.)

– The next 6 months of boot camp programs.

公開コンペで決定するもの– 例会の変動プログラム（現在の各種 Boot Campセッションを指す。ビジネスポーション , アイスブレーキング、ファンタジスタモーメント , 総合論評は固定プログラムゆえ対象外）（ New) （「例会フレームワークの変更の提案」参照） (New)

• Preliminary Review process by VPE

– VPE can ask for a member who propose a program not qualified for Fantasista meetings.

– With VPE's recommendation, one can nominate to the Open Bidding.

– VPE's preliminary review takes place immediately after closure of nomination process/

• 「ファンタジスタの例会で取り上げるにふさわしい」テーマ

• VPEによる一次審査：– 例会コンテンツ以外のものが提案されたと VPEが判断した場合、 VPEは提案者に説明をもとめることができる。 (New)

– その結果「例会コンテンツ」にふさわしいと判断できた場合、公開コンペにかけることができる。(New)

– タイミングは、公開コンペ案締め切り前までとする。 (New)

How it goes? / どのような形式で行うか？

• Open bidding will take place at the 5 “Hare” meeting of the current term.

• Meeting time could be longer thant 3 hours.

• One can have 11 minutes for presentation.

– Time will be variable withing total time of the open bidding.

• Voting by members• Absentee ballot allowed• Written feedback to presenters

Qualification提案者の資格 (New)

• Ground Rule– Presenter = Producer

• Once must be an active member of the Fantasista Club

• 基本的な考え– 提案者＝プロデューサー

• ファンタジスタのアクティブメンバーであること

How to apply? / 申し込みについて(Changed)

• One must apply to VPE– One cannot propose programs

exceeding 3 months.

– One must show the program length upon application.

• Proxy can participate in the Open Bidding on behalf of the originator.

• VPEへ、申し込む。• 1人が、 3ヶ月を超えるコンテンツは提案できない、（逆にそれ以

下ならばよい） (New)

• 提案者は、公開コンペ申し込み時に、必要期間を明記する。

• 公開コンペ当日に参加できなくても、出席できる他の人に頼んでの「代理発表」も可能。

Pass-Fail Criteria採用、不採用ルール (changed)

• Current– A proposal with zero or

negative voting points is not accepted.

• Proposal– A proposal with zero or negative

voting points is not accepted.

– A proposal which doesn't fit the next 6 months window will be disqualified.

• 現在：– ０点、あるいはマイナスがついたものは採用されない。

• 改善– 得票の高い順に案を並べ、向こう 6ヶ月のウィンドウに入りきらないものは不採用とする。 (New)

– 現在の不採用ルールは継続。

Guideline : When a producer cancelsガイドライン：プロデューサーがキャンセルした場合(New)

• When a producer cannot continue the program for some reasons, he/she must consult VPE.

– Two options are available. 1) Delegate to someone else, 2) Next producer will take over the vacancy.

– VPE must propose an altanative when the producer gives up half-way-through,

– If no boot camp program is in the waiting list, VPE must present an alternative or conduct an open bidding.

– Yes, you can. Members are able to participate in the Open Bidding.

2. I have excellent ideas but I am not confident in winning the bidding. I am not sure if I should propose my idea.

– Please ask someone for seconding speech. 3. My idea is small and probable we can learn it in a

single meeting. Can I propose it?– Yes, you can. Please note that VPE would ask to combine

it with other smaller ideas (if there are) to make up bigger topic which would benefit the club members.

4. Can I propose Japanese only sessions for three meetings?

– Please convince the members and win the bidding. 5. I need 4 meetings to conclude my ideas. Can I propose

it?– Please convince the members and win the bidding.

6. Can I propose Rakugo (or Stand-up comedy) in future meetings?

– You could do it if you could clearly explain how we could use TM programs and convince the audience.

7. Can I propose Debate training? – Yes, you can. Toastmasters offer Debate program, so

please convince the audience and win the bidding. Good luck.

8. I want to do the Prepared Speech session like many other clubs do. Can I propose it?

– Yes, you can. Please convince the audience.9. How many Ideas can a member propose?

– You can propose as many ideas as possible, however it there are many applicants, VPE may ask you to propose the best one.
