The following two online systems are used in the General Tutorial English course in spring/summer quarter 2020.

1. Waseda Moodle

Taking lessons online/Watching language learning videos「Language 学習動画」

General Tutorial English is normally conducted in a small room called a booth, but to prevent infection with the novel

coronavirus, lessons will be given by using the video conferencing system of Waseda Moodle instead of the regular

face-to-face style. In some cases, audio and image may delay and the timing of speaking may overlap with others.

Those disturbances might make online lessons more difficult than face-to-face lessons. However, as globalization

accelerates, it is expected that the opportunities for video conferencing will increase. Take this opportunity to become

accustomed to video conferencing and prepare for the future by actively participating in lessons.

2. Tutorial English website

Confirming your class (level/booth)/Submitting review tasks/Taking various tests and so on.

Similar to the face-to-face lessons, the Tutorial English website is mainly used in the online course except for taking

lessons by the video conferencing system and watching 「Language 学習動画」(language learning videos.)
