ようこそ、日本語教育研究センター(CJL)へ。この手引き・講義要項には、

日本語科目を履修される方のための科目登録日程、事前のレベル判定テス

ト、科目登録方法、履修の際の規則、シラバスなどについての情報が記載さ

れています。

早稲田大学で日本語科目を履修される方は、まず、この冊子をよく読み、

科目登録方法と各科目の詳細をシラバスで確認してから科目を選択してくだ

さい。また、この冊子は CJL の科目登録の web page 上でも PDF ファイルで見

Welcome to Center for Japanese Language (CJL).

This guidebook explains the courses, the Level Check test, the registration system,

rules, the Syllabus and others to those who will take the Japanese language courses.

Before registering, read this guidebook carefully, learn the method to register the

courses, and choose the courses referring to the Japanese Language Course Syllabus

which contains specific information about each course. You can also see this

guidebook in PDF form from our CJL Course Registration Website.

Ｂ．日本語科目履修における規則

各学部、大学院、センターでは、日本語科目の登録についての規則があります。特に外国語の卒

業必要単位数※１や登録制限単位数※２は、学部、大学院によって異なりますので、所属する学部・

大学院・センターから配布される『学部要項』や『科目登録の手引き』などを参照してください。

・※１外国語の卒業必要単位数：卒業のために合格しなければならない最低限必要な外国語の単位数

・※２登録制限単位数：学期ごと、年度ごとに科目登録できる単位数

Ｃ．科目カテゴリ

日本語科目は、以下のようなカテゴリに大別されます。それぞれ各レベルを対象としたクラスが

開講されています。

Each school has their own objectives of studying Japanese language. Check them with the table below before registering.

■総合日本語

学習活動や日常生活において必要な、読む、書く、聞く、話す能力を鍛えることができます。1

週間に複数コマで科目が構成されていますが、コマ数はレベルによって違います。

■集中日本語

初級レベルの科目です。読む、書く、聞く、話す能力を総合的に鍛えることができます。1 週間

に 10 コマの科目です。

■テーマ科目

「テーマ科目」は３００科目以上あり、日本語や日本文化・社会に関するテーマを設定していま

す。それらの学習活動を通じて、日本語を学習する科目です。「会話」「読解」といった技能をベー

スにした枠組みよりも、学習活動をより広く捉えて展開させるタイプの科目です。１週間に１コマ、

３コマ、５コマの科目があります。

付録③のリストはそれらの科目をキーワード別に並べて掲載しています。キーワードはこの科目

の特性を表します。このキーワードを利用して、あなたが興味のある科目を選択してください。

例えば、「書く」能力を伸ばしたい場合、リストの上にあるキーワード欄に「書く」と記された

科目の中から選択することができます。

■Comprehensive Japanese

It assists students in the development of the speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills required for academic and daily-life activities. The number of classes per week differs regarding the levels.

■Intensive Japanese

This is a basic Japanese course for beginners. This course provides a comprehensive approach to developing the four basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in order to cultivate your overall Japanese language ability. Each level is given ten classes per week.

■Japanese Theme Subject

Over 300 courses consists of themes concerning with Japanese language, culture and society. The contents of these courses are created by instructors with their own originality and ingenuity. It focuses on broad learning activities rather than conversation or reading skills. There are courses with 1, 3 or 5 classes per week.

The List in Appendix ③ shows those courses in order of “KEYWORDS”. Each keyword represents the characteristic of the courses. Using the keyword, choose the course that you have interest in.

For example, if you want to develop your “writing” ability, you should choose the courses that say “Writing” at the keyword column on the top left of the list.

■日本語教育研究センター全学オープン科目

日本語教育研究センター全学オープン科目は、「外国人の方に第二言語として日本語を教えるこ

と」について、日本語で学習する科目です。（外国語として日本語を学ぶ科目ではありません。）

履修者は学部の日本人学生が中心となっています。外国人留学生の方も履修できますが、学部生

■University-wide Open Courses Offered by Center for Japanese Language

Open subjects at the Center for Japanese Language are the subjects for you to study “teaching Japanese language as a second language” in Japanese. (These subjects are not for learning Japanese language as a foreign language.) These are a high level Japanese language subjects. Most of the students in these classes are Japanese. You must do assignment, and take exams in Japanese. It is important for the international students to consider their own interests and their Japanese language skills seriously before the registration.

●Credits for University-wide Open Courses

【Japanese Language Program (JLP) Students】

The credits of University-wide Open Courses are counted as the required number of credits for completion.

【Undergraduate Students・Graduate Students】

The credits of University-wide Open Courses are considered as the credits for the subjects such as “Auditing of the other departments”. Refer to the course guide issued by your school.

■Short-term Japanese Course

This course is held 6 weeks (Skill-based Subject opens on Summer term will be held 3 weeks) in Spring / Summer / Fall / Winter Term and the goal is to cultivate students overall Japanese language ability. Also, on April and September~ October, the course called “Japanese for 'Zero' Beginners” which is for students whose Japanese level is 0 will be held (3 weeks). ・日本語レベル判定テスト（J-CAT）の受験

日本語レベル判定テスト（J-CAT）とは、日本語レベル（本大学が設定したレベル）を判定す

る試験で、ウェブにて行います。日本語科目はレベル付け（レベル１～８）がされているため、

科目を選択する際に、取得点数の結果を参考にして、適したレベルの日本語科目を登録してくだ

さい。

A. Checking Japanese Language Skills

・Japanese Level Check Test (J-CAT) on Website The Japanese Level Check Test is a test to check your Japanese language level (the level set by Waseda

University). The Japanese language courses consist of eight levels. Find and register the suitable level of Japanese courses by using the level as criteria.

【How to take J-CAT】 Follow the steps written in Appendix ① attached to this guidebook. It allows at the maximum 72 hours (excluding Weekends and Holidays) to be ready for ID and Password.

Ｃ．WEB 科目登録の方法

Waseda-net portal の WEB 科目登録システムを利用して、日本語科目を登録してください。登録

には Waseda-net ID が必要です。登録の手順は巻末の付録②をご覧ください。

短期日本語集中科目の夏・冬コースはWebで登録することはできません。科目登録方法は42ペー

ジを参照してください。

(1) 登録結果の確認

科目登録結果は、Waseda-net portal で確認できます。確認方法は、巻末の付録②をご覧くださ

い。さまざまなエラーで登録されないことがありますので、必ず登録結果を確認してください。

なお、科目登録は先着順ではありません。登録希望者数が定員を超えた科目は、抽選によって

登録者を決定します。抽選により登録できなかった科目は「選外」と表示されますので、必ず確

認してください。

(2) 日本語科目の取消

２次、３次登録期間※１は、登録決定された科目の「取消」ができます。履修しない日本語科目

は、必ずこの期間内に取消申請を行ってください。

※１【注意】

取り消すつもりの科目を取り消さずに３次登録期限を過ぎてしまった場合、登録決定となっ

た全ての日本語科目に関して、日本語授業料が発生します。また、その授業に出席しなかった

場合、不合格の成績評価となり、ＧＰＡが下がる可能性があります。

Ｄ．定員に達した科目について

定員に達した科目は「締切」としますので、その次の科目登録で追加登録することができま

せん。

★ただし、1 次登録で満員になった科目で、２次登録で取り消しが発生し、定員に余裕が出た

場合、3 次登録で再度登録を受け付けます。

★登録「決定」であった科目が、定員に達した科目で、誤ってその科目を取り消した場合、そ

の科目をもとの状態に戻すことはできませんので、慎重に選択し、確認をしてから処理して

ください。

登録希望者数が定員を超えたために、「選外」となった方は、定員に余裕のある他の科目を

選んで、次の科目登録期間内に追加登録してください。

Ｃ. Course Registration on the Web System

Register the Japanese language courses on the Web System of Waseda-net portal. For services, you need to

get the Waseda-net ID. See the Appendix ② for procedure. You cannot register the Short-term Japanese Course “Summer and Winter” term on the Web System. Check page 43 to see how to register Short-term Japanese Course “Summer and Winter” term.

(1) Confirmation of Registration Result You can check your registration result via Waseda-net portal. See the Appendix ② for procedure.

In some cases you might fail to be registered due to a "registration error”. Check your registration result carefully. Registration is not “First come, First served” basis. If the number of applicants trying to register the course exceeds the maximum number of limitation, the computer will make the selection. If you were not selected to the course, “Over Enrolled” will be displayed on your Waseda-net portal registration site.

Once the course is Over Enrolled, it will be “Closed” and it will not be available from the next registration.

★HOWEVER, if the course that was Over Enrolled at the 1st registration opens a seat due to the drop of the course during the 2nd registration, it will be open again at the 3rd registration.

★You can not register the course again once you drop it, if the course is “Over Enrolled”.

If you are not selected to the course due to “Over Enrolled”, register other courses available on the next registration. (Try to choose the course with many open seats)

CJL offers “Course Orientation Week” for the first week of the semester. It helps new students to find suitable Japanese classes. During the Course Orientation Week, you can observe courses that you are interested in as well as the courses you have registered for.

（2）漢字科目・テーマ科目・全学オープン科目の授業オリエンテーション

授業第１週目の授業オリエンテーション期間は、通常９０分の授業を２回（前半と後半）に分け

て、授業内容や教科書などについて説明します。前半と後半は同じ内容です。最初は登録した科目

のオリエンテーションに参加してください。もし、登録した科目が自分のレベルに合わない場合は、

他のレベルの科目のオリエンテーションに参加してください。また、登録したい科目が同じ時間帯

にある場合、前半と後半でそれぞれ違う科目に参加してください。

授業１週目は、必ず授業に出席してください。

例）

・「科目Ａ」も「科目Ｂ」も取りたいが、同じ時間帯にある。

→前半の４０分は「科目Ａ」を見学し、後半の４０分は「科目Ｂ」を見学して、どちらを選択する

か決めてください。

・１次登録で「科目Ｃ」を登録したが、自分が思い描いたとおりの授業だろうか。

→前半の４０分は「科目Ｃ」を見学してください。この授業が自分に合わないと思った場合は、後

半に他の授業を見学してください。

(2) Course Orientation for Kanji Subject・Theme Subject・University-wide Open

Courses

A 90-minute class is divided into the first and second orientations for the First Week of Course Orientation week.

(The first orientation (40 min.)) + (moving to other classes (10min.)) ＋ (The second orientation (40 min.)). Instructors will give you the same contents in the first and second orientation respectively. Attend the first orientation of the course that you have registered. If you feel that the registered course does not fit your level, on the second orientation, attend other course with different level. If the two courses are on the same hour, attend the first and second orientations respectively.

Example:

・ I want to take “Subject A” and “Subject B”, but both the courses are on the same hour. →Go to “Subject A” for the first orientation, and for the second orientation, go to “Subject B”.

After that, you can decide which class you will take.

・ I am thinking that I will drop “Subject C”. Should I really drop it? Go to the first orientation of the course. If you think that the course does not suit you, go to other course on the second orientation.

３．短期日本語集中科目

Ａ．開講科目（短期日本語集中科目）

春、夏、秋、冬の４学期間それぞれ６週間ずつの短期間（夏学期に開講される技能型科目は３週

間）で日本語の基礎的な能力を総合的に身に付けることを目指します。「総合日本語（短期）」「技

能型科目」「入門日本語」の３種類の科目カテゴリがあり、技能型科目は、夏学期のみの開講で、

３週間のみの科目です。

また、４月と９月～10 月に日本語０レベルの学生に対象とした入門日本語（３週間）も開講され

ます。

各学期の授業スケジュールは、次のページを確認してください。通常の「春学期」、「秋学期」の

15 週間の授業スケジュールと異なります。また、夏コースと冬コースの科目登録の方法も通常の方

法とは異なります。

春・夏コースは 40 ページ、秋・冬コースは 42 ページを確認してください。

●総合日本語（短期）「総合日本語（短期）」科目は、教科書をベースに日本語の基礎的な能力の向上を目指します。

１週間に 10 コマあります。

●技能型科目夏学期にのみ３週間ずつ開講され、中級の学生向けの科目も開講し、「読む」「書く」「聞く」「話

す」といった技能に特化しています。１週間に５コマあります。

夏学期の前半と後半それぞれ同じ科目が開講されます。

●入門日本語４月と９月～10 月のみ３週間ずつ開講され、日本語をゼロから勉強する人のクラスです。ひらが

なとカタカナを勉強します。１週間に５コマあります。

３．Short-term Japanese Course

A. Offered Course (Short-term Japanese Course)This course is held 6 weeks (Skill-based Subject opens on Summer term will be held 3 weeks) and the

goal is to cultivate students overall Japanese language ability. There are three types of the Course Category ”Comprehensive Japanese (Short-term)” “Skill-based subject” and “Japanese for ‘Zero’ Beginners”. Skill-based course is only open on Summer term.

On April and September~ October, the course called “Japanese for 'Zero' Beginners” which is for students whose Japanese level is 0 will be held (3 weeks). Check the Japanese Short-Term Course schedule on the next page. It is different from regular calendar which has only Spring and Fall semester. Also, the course registration method for Summer and Winter Term is different from regular course registration. ●Comprehensive Japanese (Short-term) For Comprehensive Japanese (Short-term) course, you will comprehensively improve your Japanese based

on the text book. Classes are mainly aimed to elementary level students. There are 10 classes per week.

●Skill-based Subject This course is open only on Summer term. The courses focused on each reading, writing, listening or

speaking skill. There are 5 classes per week.

●Japanese for 'Zero' Beginners This course is open only on April and September~ October, 3weeks each. It is a Japanese Language course

for ‘zero’ beginners. You will learn Hiragana and Katakana. There are 5 classes per week.

Ｂ．日本語授業料の納入方法について

(1) 振込用紙の受取について

対象の学生・外国人研究者・外国人教員は、日本語授業料納入期間に、日本語教育研究センター

事務所（22 号館４階事務所）にて、「日本語授業料納入票」を受け取ってください。

(2) 銀行カウンターでの振込

●指定された納入期間に最寄りの銀行カウンターにてお支払いください。

●授業料は、振込用紙に記載された合計金額をすべて一括納入してください。

●分割払いは認められていません。

(3) 注意事項

●登録決定した科目に関しては、クラスに出席しなくても、授業料を支払う必要があります。

●日本語授業料未納の場合は、決定科目の履修が認められなくなります。

（履修しない場合は、必ず所定の方法で取消期間内に取り消してください。）

●期限後の納入はいかなる理由でも認めません。また、入金後の返金も認めません。

５．日本語科目登録証明書の申請方法

在留資格が「留学」の学生は、留学ビザ更新のために「日本語科目の科目登録証明書」が必要な

場合があります。

日本語授業料納入後、領収書を持って 22 号館４階日本語教育研究センター事務所で申請してく

ださい。発行まで２～３日かかることがあります。証明書発行手数料は 200 円です。

B. Payment Instructions for Tuition and Fees for Japanese Language Courses

1) Payment Sheet

After all the registered courses are confirmed, Students, Overseas Researchers, and Overseas Faculty who have to pay tuition and fees pick up a payment sheet at Center for Japanese Language Office (Building No.22 4th floor). The payment sheet will be available during the payment period.

2) Payment at the Bank

●Pay all the amount of tuition indicated on the payment sheet at a nearby bank teller during the payment for the Japanese course tuition and fees period.

●Installment payment is not acceptable.

3) Important

●You must pay for all the confirmed courses even if you have decided not to attend them.

●If you don’t pay the Tuition and Fees by the due date, you will not be accepted to attend the registered courses. To avoid this, be sure that you drop the courses on the course drop period.

●You may not pay the Tuition and Fees after the due date. The Tuition and Fee are non-refundable.

５．How to Apply for Certificate of Japanese Course Registration If you need to extend your student visa, you are required to submit the Certificate of Japanese Language Class Registration to the Immigration Bureau. For applying the certificate, bring a receipt of the course fee to the CJL office. After the payment is confirmed, the certificate will be issued within a couple of days. A handling charge is 200 yen for each.

６．日本語科目履修上の注意点

Ａ．教科書・テキスト

授業で説明を聞いて、科目登録することを確定してから、教科書・テキストを購入してくださ

い。「早稲田大学生協」で購入可能ですが、一度購入してしまうと払い戻しはできません。

Ｂ．時間割・教室変更・休講・補講の通知

上記の情報は以下の場所で掲示される予定です。

・時間割:CJL ホームページ（http://www.waseda.jp/cjl/）と 22号館４階掲示板に掲示されます。

・教室変更：教室（変更前と変更後）の入り口、CJL ホームページと 22 号館４階掲示板に掲示し

ます。

・休講：Waseda-net ポータルと 22 号館４階掲示板に掲示します。

・気象条件、インフルエンザ等による全学的な休講：早稲田大学ホームページ

・補講：22号館４階掲示板に掲示されます。

注）教室は授業開始後、変更する場合がありますので、随時ホームページ等で確認してください。

Ｃ．出席・遅刻・早退・欠席

日本語授業は、語学科目ですので、出席点が重要です。遅刻、早退、欠席は、成績に大きく影

響します。出席時間数が授業時間数の３分の２に満たなかった場合は、不合格となります。遅刻・

早退も欠席として扱うことがあります。なお病気（学校において予防すべき感染症ををのぞく）

や怪我により授業を欠席した場合は、その事由を明らかにする医師の診断書または公的証明書を

持参の上、担当教員に申し出てください。

Ｄ．学校において予防すべき感染症

発熱、咳、呼吸困難等の症状がある場合は、登校せず医療機関で診断を受け、その後必ず医師

の指示に従ってください。学校において予防すべき感染症による自宅静養期間の授業欠席の取り

扱いについては、回復後、診断書を持参して所属学部・研究科・センター事務所で欠席届の手続

きを行うことで特別に配慮します。

Ｅ．忌引による欠席

家族等の忌引きにより、授業に出席できない場合は、その期間の取り扱いについて、会葬礼状

を持参し、所属学部・研究科事務所で手続きを行うことで特別に配慮します。詳細は、所属学部・

研究科事務所に相談してください。

Ｆ．宿題・レポートの提出

宿題やレポートの提出については、ご自身の責任で担当教員より指定された方法で期日までに

提出してください。なお、いかなる理由でも日本語教育研究センター事務所から担当教員へ転送

することはいたしません。

Ｇ．成績

所属箇所の成績基準および方法により成績が発表されます。所属学部・大学院の「要項」を参

照してください。

Ｈ．日本語授業ボランティア

早稲田大学の日本語授業では、早稲田大学の学生が Native Partner として、会話やディスカッ

ション、グループ活動など日本語授業の活動に参加することがあります。

Ｉ．授業見学・写真撮影

日本語教育研究センター関係者・大学院日本語教育研究科関係者が授業見学をしたり、撮影す

ることがあります。

６．Class Rules

A. Text Books: Prepare text books after all the courses are confirmed. Text books are available at "Waseda University COOP". They are non-refundable.

B. Timetables, Classroom Change, Class Cancellation, and Makeup Classes The notification regarding these above will be listed at the following places. ・Timetable: CJL website（http://www.waseda.jp/cjl/en/index.html） and Notice board at Center for

Japanese Language (located on 4th floor of Building No.22) ・Classroom Change: Entrance of Classroom (both old and new classroom), CJL website, and Notice

board at Center for Japanese Language ・Class Cancellation: Waseda-net Portal and Notice board at Center for Japanese Language ・Class Cancellation in the whole university (due to inclement weather or pandemic diseases such as

Influenza): Waseda University’s website ・Makeup Class: Notice board at Center for Japanese Language (located on 4th floor of Building No.22)

Note: The classrooms are subject to change after the result of the first day of classes. Check your classroom on our website.

C. Attendance:Absence, tardy, and leaving early will affect your grade. Absences exceeding 1/3 of the total number of classes will result “F or G” on your grade. Instructors may treat tardy and leaving early as absence. If you are not able to attend a class with illness (except for the specified infectious disease) or injury, please show a medical certificate to instructor.

D. Specified Infectious Disease: If you have influenza-like symptoms like fever, cough, or difficulty in breathing, avoid coming to the school, and go right away to the medical institution. Follow the orders of the doctor. We will take in special consideration of the absence of the course during the period of home remedy in the case you contracted specified infectious disease. After you recovered, submit a doctor’s certificate to the office at your school / center.

E. Bereavement Leave: We will take in consideration of the period of term which you couldn’t attend the course for bereavement, submit a funeral acknowledgment to the school office. For details, ask at the office of your school.

F. Turn-in Report and Assignment: It is your responsibility to turn in reports and assignments by the due date. CJL office will NOT forward your Report and Assignment to your instructors with any reasons.

G. Grades: Your Japanese language courses grade will be announced by your school. Check the criterion with the Course Guide and course registration guide distributed from your school.

H. Japanese Language Volunteers: Waseda students (mostly Japanese) join to the Japanese language classes as native partners to support your studies through conversation practice, discussion, and helping out assignments, etc.

成績評価について、確固たる根拠をもって問い合わせたいと考える学生のみを対象として、下記

要領にて質問を受け付けます。

【秋学期】

受付期間：２０１５年３月４日（水）９：００～３月６日（金）１７：００

受付方法：Waseda-net portal 申請フォーム

Waseda-net portal メイン画面左側の「システム・サービス」内、「Waseda-net

コンテンツ(wnc)」の下にある「－－申請フォーム入力」をクリックし、フォーム

「【2014 年度秋学期】成績評価照会」を選択

■対象科目は日本語教育センター設置科目です。

■申請フォームに記載している手順、注意事項をよく読み、入力と登録を行ってください。

■申請期間以外の問い合わせは一切できません。

■該当科目の成績評価基準を web シラバスで必ず確認した上で問い合わせてください。

■試験欠席・レポート未提出・出席回数が不足している場合など、明らかに不合格に当たる理由が

ある場合、一切受け付けできません。

■個人的事情の考慮を依頼するもの（例：「卒業のためにあと１単位必要」）等の懇願と見受けられ

る文言が含まれていた場合は、一切受け付けできません。申請フォームでは、当該科目が不合格

ではないと思われる理由のみを客観的に記入してください。

■登録後に届く自動送信の確認メールをもって、質問の受付完了とします。メールは控えとして大

切に保管してください。

■メール・電話・郵送・事務所窓口での受付は行いません。

■日時は日本標準時間です。

We will accept inquiry only from students with firm grounds for making an inquiry about your grades. Details are as follows.

■We accept the only the courses of Center for Japanese Language. ■Read the instructions on the form carefully before submitting. ■We don’t accept any inquiry before and after period. ■Confirm the “Evaluation” column of the course on Web syllabus system before the inquiry. ■We don’t accept the inquiry in the case that the person has clear reason to receive a failure. For

example, you failed to take an examination, failed to submit a report, or attended less than two-thirds of the total class hours, etc.

■We don’t accept pleading inquiry with your private reasons, for example, “I need 1 more credit to graduate”, etc. Fill out the objective reason why you think this grade is inappropriate.

■An automatic reply email will be sent after the submission. Please keep the email as proof. ■Inquiry via e-mail, phone, mail, and at the Office counter will not be accepted. ■Date and Time are Japan Standard Time.
