    quence there is conusion about the meaning o our civilization, our country,

    and even ourselves. America aces a cultural crisis never beore seen. More

    than any other time in history, there is an acute need or principled public

    or the Institute to develop men and women who are rooted in the wisdomo the Bible, classic texts o political thought, and the practical prudence

    aith, and believe in enduring conservative political principles or the com-

    Fellowships, Seminars, & Professional FraternityIn addressing Americas leadership crisis, the Institute oers leadership

    development initiatives designed or making new principled leaders at

    various stages o their educational and vocational development and a pro-

    essional raternity or ostering their network and impact. The Institutes

    Fellowship ProgramsThe Institute recruits college graduates with academic interests in theology,

    society, politics, and law or its Fellowship programs.

    TheJohn Jay Fellows Program is especially suited or career

    aspirants in the elds o religion, law, public and international

    aairs, issue advocacy, social service, journalism, and education.

    The Saratoga Fellows Program is tailored or newly commis-sioned ocers in the armed orces o the United States.

    Believing that leaders are made, not born, the Institutes Fellowship pro-

    grams are designed to inspire men and women with a Christian vision orsociety and equip them with the spiritual, intellectual, and proessional

    disciplines necessary or eective aith-inormed public service.

    Each Fellowship begins with an intensive academic residency. The academic

    residency is ollowed by an externship with eld placement in a national

    or international governmental agency or non-governmental organization.

    Externships are tailored to each ellows vocational interests. Placements

    vary widely and have included the U.S. Congress, Heritage Foundation,Ethics and Public Policy Center, Institute on Religion and Democracy,

    International Justice Mission, Opportunity International, and CARE in

    London, England. Saratoga Fellows enter active military service soon ater

    completing their residency. Like similar prestigious post-undergraduate

    programs, the Fellowships are merit-based and oer competitive benets

    including housing during the academic residency.

    Applicants or each Fellows Program compete or limited available seatseach semester. Criteria or selection are based upon demonstrated Christian

    commitment and leadership potential. Candidates or admission should be

    well-rounded in general knowledge and experience, have completed college,

    have maintained a 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average, and

    have abilities in oral and written communication.

    Executive Seminar ProgramsIn order to reach the proessional man or woman who is wrestling with a

    call to public service in addition to or as part o their current vocation, the

    Institute oers its world-class curriculum and methodology to the working

    proessional through a series o leadership seminars in a setting conducive to

    o 15-20 leaders or lively, intensive roundtable discussions led by skilledmoderators. Classic and contemporary texts covering the breadth o western

    civilization orm the starting points o a rich conversation in which the

    questions posed and explored help to exposit the timeless wisdom o the

    texts. Seminars are designed to leave the participant personally and proes-

    sionally invigorated, more skilled in making decisions, and transormed by

    their knowledge and experience.
