Karelino Design

We use single sided PCB We need next drawings

PCB manufacturing method & materials Method = Transfer Toner System Materials = Pulsar kit (PCB Fab-In-A-

Box) http://www.pcbfx.com/

Page 12: KARELController Manufacturing

We print the copper layer on paper using a laser printer

Page 13: KARELController Manufacturing

We prepare the single sided board using a sandpaper

Page 14: KARELController Manufacturing

We clean the surface with a cloth

Page 15: KARELController Manufacturing

We use a laminator to transfer the toner from paper to board

Page 16: KARELController Manufacturing

We remove the paper using water

Page 17: KARELController Manufacturing

The copper layer is transferred to the board

Page 18: KARELController Manufacturing

We use green foil (from Pulsar) to seal the toner

Page 19: KARELController Manufacturing

We remove easily the green foil

Page 20: KARELController Manufacturing

Toner before and after sealing

Page 21: KARELController Manufacturing

We are etching the board using ammonium persulfate

Page 22: KARELController Manufacturing

The uncovered copper was removed (etched)

Page 23: KARELController Manufacturing

We remove the toner from the board using thinner

Page 24: KARELController Manufacturing

We drill the holes

Page 25: KARELController Manufacturing

We test the traces for continuity and short circuits

Page 26: KARELController Manufacturing

We use a soldering iron station to solder the components Hot Air Gun Soldering (Hot) Iron

Page 27: KARELController Manufacturing

We first solder the jumper wires

Page 28: KARELController Manufacturing

We add the components and we solder them (SMD first & THD last) – A magnifier is very helpful

Testing & Debugging

We had 2 types of mistakes: Design Mistakes ->

Guilty Person = Mr. Mihai Agape Manufacturing Mistakes ->

Guilty Person = Who knows?

Page 33: KARELController Manufacturing

Test your attention to detailWhat mistakes can you identify? http://1drv.ms/1jet3ci

Page 34: KARELController Manufacturing

Two resistors are placed wrongWe identified the mistakes and repaired

Page 35: KARELController Manufacturing

We found the mistakes and we corrected
