Promotion and Research

As a unified body with the authority to speak for the industry, KOAMI

develops medium and long range strategies for the advancement of

the machinery industry and makes recommendations to thegovernment.

To help formulate policies for the machinery industry, KOAMIsubmits memoranda and proposals to the government on a widerange of policies that include taxation and finance propositions.

To assist its members and help set up efficient policies, KOAMIworks with the government on the adoption of its memoranda andon the relevant terms and conditions thereof.

To enhance bilateral business, KOAMI helps its member companiesby getting them registered in world's prominent EPC companies sothat they get continuous live enquires and tender notifications.KOAMI also facilitates B2B meetings between Korean plant andutility suppliers and invited foreign buyers. This hopefully helps bothsides to interact with each other and meet their requirements.

To stimulate the demand for local machinery, KOAMI activelypromotes superior machinery and parts.

To assist its members in keeping up with changes in the businessenvironment, KOAMI manages an up-to-date database on themachinery industry through its in-house computerized informationsystem.

To distribute various kinds of information about the machineryindustry, KOAMI operates a library open to its members and thepublic.

R & D related Services

To promote the machinery industry in general, KOAMI facilitates the

development of high-quality local machinery. KOAMI provides

technical assistance to its members by researching the demand for

technology.

To keep its members informed about plants and equipments, KOAMI

surveys the status of local contents, informs users of the availability

of local machinery, investigates new public investment projects,

encourages its members to participate in these projects and

provides the most up-to-date quality control methods and technical

information by sponsoring various seminars and symposiums.

Capital Goods Assurance

To guarantee the performance of local machinery products with

financial obligations, The Machinery Financial Cooperative(MFC) a

subsidiary organization of KOAMI, was established in 1986 under

"The Industry Development Act", with funds raised by KOAMI

members.

MFC acts as a guarantor for its members f or bid bonds, performance

bonds, warranty bonds and payment bonds, etc.

Vocational Training

To train technicians and supply the qualified personnel in weaker

fields of the local machinery sector, in 1987, KOAMI established the"Vocational Training Center", now located in Cheonan, a city in the

central region of the country.

The Vocational Training Center offers various one-year training

courses in Semiconductor surface treatment, Special welding, Lathe

operation, CNC lathe, Machine design, Press die molds, etc.

Cyber Video Trade System( CVTS) is cyber conference system that

enables sellers and buyers to communicate wherever internet is
