Loran Heđi. Lidija Nikčević u ciklusu Estetika urbanog ambijenta, slikama koje su nastale u posljednje dvije godine, ima tu empatiju, približavanje malim realnostima, u kontekstu o kome govori Heđi. Prostor, odnosno urbana arhitektura čini osnovni kod njenih slika. Ta arhitektura obuhvata i centar i periferiju, pa su slike pored napuštene trafike, autobuske stanice, neke ogromne zgrade koje propuštaju ponegdje svjetlost. Njihova atmosfera slična je onoj na slikama Edvarda Hopera, jer otuđenost je njihova velika tema.

    Međutim, dok američki umjetnik slika prizore iz bara, s autobuske stanice gdje su žiža ljudi, dotle u slikama Lidije Nikčević geometrizovani oblici koji se čitaju u uobličavanju zgrada samo su naznake neke metafizičke hladnoće i pustoši. U sintaksi veliku ulogu ima akrilik boja, igra svjetlosti i kontrasti da bi se sugerisali opustošeni prizori grada koji je noću rijetko osvijetljen. To nije konkretan grad ali je slikarka učinila da on postane prepoznatljiv. Svaki konstitutivni element slike konstruiše svoj prostor čak kada na slikama ima ljudi. Oni su tu više kao posmatrači, lišeni uzbuđenja. Figure su tu u službi naglašavanja prostornosti, osjećaja prisustva i direktnog doživljaja ambijenta u kome su smještene, pa i isticanja kontrasta između čovjeka i ambijenta, prirodnog i konstruisanog, objašnjava umjetnica.

    Nekoliko ranijih slika u čijem fokusu je čovjek svjedoči o spontanom prelasku od figure ka predmetu. Njeni likovi su psihološki iznijansirani i neka vrsta sublimata u kojima se prelamaju različite emocije i misli. U vremenu simulakruma i simulacije, kada realnost proizvodi sebe kao fikciju, crnogorska slikarka Lidija Nikčević istražuje jedno od temeljnih pitanja: Šta je slika danas?

In Aesthetics of the Urban Environment, a series of paintings created during the last two years, Lidija Nikcevic demonstrates this empathy, the convergence of small realities, in the context Hegyi is speaking of. Space and urban architecture form the basic code of her paintings. This architecture includes both the centre and the periphery, so the paintings are beside an abandoned kiosk, a bus station, a huge building that in some places let the light pass through. Their atmosphere is similar to the one on Edward Hopper’s paintings, since alienation is their great topic.

    However, while the American artist paints scenes from bars and bus stations where the focus is on people, the paintings by Lidija Nikcevic present geometrized forms which are interpreted in shaping the buildings and are only indications of certain metaphysical cold and desolation. Acrylic colours, the play of light and contrasts in the structure have a major role so as to suggest devastated scenes of the city that is rarely illuminated by night. This is not any specific city but the painter made it become recognizable. Each constituent element of the painting constructs its own space, even when there are people present in the paintings. They are here more as observers, deprived of excitement. Figures are there in service of emphasizing spaciousness, the feeling of presence and direct experience of the environment they are located in, as well as pointing out the contrast between man and the environment, the natural and the constructed, explains the artist.

    Several previous paintings which are focused on man testify to the spontaneous transition from figure to object. Her characters are psychologically nuanced and are a kind of sublimate that refracts different emotions and thoughts. In an era of simulacra and simulation, when reality produces itself as fiction, the Montenegrin painter Lidija Nikcevic is examining one of the fundamental questions: What is the painting today?

    Lidija Nikčević je rođena 1992. godine u Nikšiću, gdje je završila osnovnu školu i gimnaziju. Osnovni i postdiplomski-specijalistički studij slikarstva na Fakultetu likovnih umjetnosti Univerziteta Crne Gore na Cetinju završila 2015. godine u klasi profesora Branislava Bana Sekulića. Trenutno je na dvogodišnjim magistarskim studijama na istom fakultetu, u klasi profesora Ratka Odalovića. Imala je četiri samostalne izložbe, a učestvovala je na više kolektivnih izložbi, likovnih kolonija i projekata.

    Dobitnica je brojnih stipendija, nagrada i priznanja među kojima su:

    Lidija Nikcevic was born in 1992 in Niksic, where she completed elementary and high school. She completed basic and postgraduate specialist painting studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Montenegro in Cetinje in 2015, in the class of Professor Branislav Bane Sekulic. Currently she is attending two-year postgraduate studies at the same Faculty, in the class of Professor Ratko Odalovic. She has had four solo exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions, art colonies and projects.

    She was winner of numerous scholarships, awards and acknowledgments including:
