dg g t e o gand Doing Gap
Its not knowing what to do.It is doing what you know
We should not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action.
• Common to most organizations.
• The transition from ignorance to knowledge is easy
Knowing‐Doing Gap
• The transition from ignorance to knowledge is easy because there are numerous organizations and individuals very capable at providing knowledge
• It is clear to most organizations that they need knowledge to maintain their competitiveness, market share, and sometimes their very survivability.market share, and sometimes their very survivability.
• However, the knowledge that is successfully transferred through seminars, degree courses and consulting, is not implemented.

Knowing‐Doing Gap
• A phenomenon where knowledge is not i l t dimplemented.
• Costs billions of ringgit due to failures of all kinds.
• The world is full of knowledge experts but short on doers who can implement knowledge personally
• The most destructive aspect of the gap is the substitution of various talking activities for action
• Organizations make decisions that change nothing due to lack of doing.
• The best plan is not worth the paper it has been
Knowing‐Doing Gap
written on, if it is not implemented.
• It costs confidence and credibility losses if not implemented, that exceed the cost to acquire the knowledge in the first place.
• No matter how long management talks about the knowledge, it doesn't become useful until it is actually used.
