FACTOS:

A Adico, fundada em 1920 pelo Comendador Adelino Dias Costa, iniciou a sua actividadecom a produção de camas de ferro.Na década de 30, orientou a sua produção para o Mobiliário Hospitalar, evidenciando já odomínio de tecnologias sofisticadas para a época, nomeadamente mesas de operaçõeshidráulicas.Nesta fase, desenvolve também a produção de uma linha de mesas e cadeiras paraesplanadas, das quais se evidenciou a tradicional cadeira portuguesa.Na década de 40, contava já com cerca de 350 trabalhadores e dominava as exportaçõespara o mercado das ex-colónias portuguesas, transformando-se na maior empresa portuguesado sector de Mobiliário Hospitalar.A partir da década de 90 e até hoje, tem concentrado esforços no desenvolvimento de novaslinhas de cadeiras para o interior e esplanadas, com as quais se tem distinguido no mercadonacional e internacional de mobiliário para hotelaria.

Adelino Dias Costa and startedits activity with the production of iron beds.In the 30s' it orientated its production to the hospital furnitureshowing a remarkable aptitude for sophisticated technologies atthat time, such as hydraulic surgery tables.In that period, Adico develops a production line of tables andchairs for outdoors among which the traditional Portuguese chairwas marked.In the 40s', Adico had already about 350 workers and dominatedthe exports for the market of Portuguese ex-colonies andbecoming the biggest company in the hospital furniture.From the 90s' until nowadays, Adico has concentrated its effortsin developing news lines of chairs for indoors and outdoorsbecoming a distinguished company in the national andinternational market of hostelry furniture.
