Summary

The following bullets are the current status of

agreements on the network slicing: The network slice is a complete logical network (providing

Telecommunication Services and Network Capabilities) including

AN and CN. Whether RAN is sliced is up to RAN WGs to

determine.

AN can be common to multiple network slices.

A UE may provide network slice selection assistance information

to the network.

If a network deploys network slicing, then it may use UE provided

network slice selection assistance information to select a network

slice.

A UE may access multiple slices simultaneously via a single RAN.

In such case, those slices may share some control plane functions,

e.g. MM.
