Non si ferma mai Giusy Versace.Dopo la vittoria al talent show di Rai1 Ballando con le stelle, è il volto della Domenica sportiva.

«Tutto è nato da un’idea del direttore diRai Sport, Carlo Paris: voleva dare un taglio

diverso al programma. Una grande responsabilità, ma mi sto divertendo. Sono molto critica e severa con me stessa e sto entrando nel vivo delle cose.

Il mio ruolo è tirare fuori chicche e illustrare il profilo dei personaggi che ruotano attorno al calcio. Del resto, se la passione per

la corsa è nata quando ho perso le gambe, quella per il pallone

aumenterà col piccolo schermo». Resta il fatto che questa atleta

ha avuto un vero e proprio boom catodico. «Scelgo progetti

coerenti con quello che faccio e rappresento. La mia sfida è

portare la disabilità nelle case delle persone. Non voglio fare a

tutti i costi televisione, mi interessa creare qualcosa di utile non solo per me,

ma anche per gli altri». Il futuro è diviso tra gli immancabili allenamenti e i progetti sociali:

«Mi sto preparando, perché il prossimo anno mi aspettano gli Europei di atletica a Grosseto

e le paralimpiadi di Rio de Janeiro. Nel libro Con la testa e con il cuore si va ovunque (Oscar

Mondadori, pp. 175 € 9,35) racconto la mia storia, dal tragico incidente fino ai successi sulle

piste di atletica. È il diario di una seconda vita che ho deciso di scrivere per lanciare messaggi di forza e coraggio a tutti coloro che affrontano

momenti difficili. Voglio che guardino alla vita con positività».

will increase on TV.” The fact remains: this athlete had a real boom on TV screen. “I choose projects in line with what I do and represent. My challenge is to bring disabilities in the homes of people. I don’t want to be on television at any cost, I

want to create something useful not only for me but also for others.” The

future is divided between workouts and a literary project: “I’m getting ready, because next

year I have the European of Athletics in Grosseto and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In the book Con la testa e con il cuore si va ovunque (Oscar Mondadori, pages 175 € 9.35) I tell my story, from that tragic accident to the successes on the athletic tracks. It’s the diary of a second life that I decided to write to send messages of strength and courage to all those who face difficult times. Gallery di Roma. Nella prima personale europea dell’artista americano, tra i più apprezzati della scena

iper-contemporanea newyorkese, spiccano pezzi inediti. Nei suoi lavori il tratto realistico con cui

riproduce i lineamenti di donna si contrappone alla composizione geometrica che li incornicia. L’energica

esplosione cromatica contrasta con le espressioni serie e spesso malinconiche dei soggetti.

un’aura futuristica ottenuta anche grazie all’utilizzo di differenti materiali come acquerelli, matite

colorate, acrilici, pastelli idrosolubili a cera e olio. Le opere esposte rievocano la forza materica dei

dripping anni ‘50. Jones assimila le suggestioni dei maestri dell’action painting come Pollock e Kooning, ma

spinge la sua arte al di là di questa eredità. Taken into swirls of color, and suspended between

abstraction and photo realism, the female faces by Erik Jones are the main players at In Colour exhibit,

housed until December 1 at the Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome. In his first European solo of the

American artist, one of the most popular of the

New York hyper-contemporary art scene, stand out new and unreleased pieces. In his works, the realistic

sense, by which reproduces the woman features, opposed to geometric composition that frames them.

The powerful chromatic explosion contrasts with serious expressions and often gloomy subjects.

The human characterization fades away in favor of a futuristic air obtained by the use of different

materials such as watercolors, colored pencils, acrylics, oil and wax water-soluble pastels.

The works on show recall that material power of dripping in the 50s. Jones assimilates the suggestions

of the action painting masters like Pollock and Kooning, but drives his art beyond this heritage.

«Quandonon sai cos’è,allora è jazz»

Quando nel gennaio del 1927 Max Tooney, uno dei personaggi del film La leggenda del pianista

sull’oceano, si presentò ai colloqui per lavorare sul transatlantico Virginian, si sentì rispondere che non

c’era spazio per i musicisti. Non si arrese e iniziò comunque a suonare la tromba in modo incantevole,

lasciando tutti senza parole. «Cos’è?», gli chiesero allora gli incaricati per la selezione. «Non lo so»,

rispose. Estasiati proseguirono: «Quando non sai cos’è, allora è jazz. Ci vanno matti per quella

musica, lassù». Perché per apprezzare questo genere non è necessaria una conoscenza

approfondita, ma se si ascoltano performance di qualità la differenza la nota chiunque. È proprio quello che

si avverte nei jazz festival di Bologna e Roma.

When in January of 1927 Max Tooney, one of the character of the movie La leggenda del

pianista sull’oceano, went to the job interview to work on the ocean liner Virginian, had back as answer that there wasn’t place for players. He didn’t give up and started, then, to play the trumpet in a lovely way, leaving everyone without a word. “What was it?,” asked him, those responsible for selection. “I don’t know,” he replied. Delighted they said too: “When you don’t know what it is, then it’s jazz. They go crazy for that music up there.” Because to enjoy it you don’t need a depth knowledge of music, but if you listen a high quality performance everyone can note the difference. That’s what you feel in the jazz festival in Bologna and Rome. The Bologna festival, to its 10th edition, takes place until November 26.
