新學年伊始,雖說大家對新老師的加入都習以為常,不過看著一

張張陌生的面孔,還是讓人好奇不已。當中不乏豐富教學經驗的老師,

陳鳳玲老師使是其中一位了,她在調任筲東前,分別任教於龍翔官立

中學和鄧肇堅維多利亞官立中學。陳老師有著一頭整齊的短髮,沉實

的聲線,目光溫和的她架著一副眼鏡,給人一份和藹的感覺。

剛加入本校的她,對於學校的一切都感到新鮮,談及對本校同學

的第一印象,她指同學們都斯文有禮、乖巧合作,又會主動幫忙,惟

上課表現較被動。身為初中綜合人文科以及高中通識科老師的她,最

注重的是培養學生的獨立思考能力。她鼓勵同學上課時記下老師教學

的重點,功課才會有好表現。陳老師認為同學們較被動、少發問,顯

示他們未能仔細思考問題,「發問源於思考。」她鼓勵同學細心思考,

大膽發問,在學習上定能有所裨益。

面對繁重的校務,陳老師認為教師的壓力也不小,她的減壓良方

就是做運動,游泳和網球都是她的最愛。當她專注在運動時,全情投

入,能將一切工作壓力暫且放下,出一身汗後更覺精神無比。她一身

黝黑的健康膚色想必就是這樣得來的。

短短十多分鐘的訪問,從老師的話中實在增益不少。最後,謹祝

老師新學年工作順利,生活愉快。

平易近人的李潤嬋平易近人的李潤嬋平易近人的李潤嬋平易近人的李潤嬋老師老師老師老師

新學期伊始,今年的新老師特別多,在校園內遊走,總是看到

一張張陌生的面孔。我今天要訪問的主角李潤嬋老師,應該不能說

她是新老師,因為她與筲東有極深厚的淵源,是筲東的老朋友。

李老師曾在本校的前身──筲箕灣工業官立中學任教,之後被

調到旁邊的筲箕灣官立中學,一去十多年,今年李老師又重投筲東

的懷抱。問到有什麼不適應的地方,李老師笑說筲東給她的感覺既

熟悉又親切,沒有什麼不適應。若要說到不習慣的,李老師笑言初

時要到新座上課時,由於新座的位置從前是學校的停車場,現今卻

改建成課室,沿路十分迂迴曲折,使她經常迷路,但現在已習慣了。

李老師是一位經濟科老師,她選擇教師這職業的原因是受朋友

的影響,至於做經濟科老師,是受工業年代的影響。當年香港的商

業發展繁榮,很多人都因應時勢而去學習商業的知識,方便投身相

關行業,最終,李老師選擇了作育英才。

看書是李老師最愛的餘暇活動,亦是李老師從小培養出來的興

趣。在學生時期,她不像其他女生喜歡看愛情小說,她對一些小品

類型的短篇小說情有獨鍾,其後接觸科學和推理小說。到了現在投

身社會工作後,便較多閱讀社會科學的書籍。李老師的閱讀面廣

泛,喜歡閱讀的同學不妨向李老師請教閱讀的心得。

談到與學生的相處之道,李老師認為筲東學生都自律學習,不

必大費周章去維持課堂秩序,整個上課的流程十分順暢,但李老師

認為同學們在學習方面缺乏自信,自以為比不上別人而失去動力。

李老師希望能透過這次訪問勉勵同學,只要比別人多花點時間,定

能超越面前的障礙。在此多謝李老師的訓勉,希望同學們能謹記李

老師的說話,努力學習。

新學年的開始,有新的中一同學加入,亦有新老師來到筲東這

個大家庭。李盈盈老師正是本學年的新老師,她任教中國語文和中

史科。

談到對筲東學生的印象,李老師認為同學乖巧善良、熱心助

人,例如當她捧着沉重的學生課業時,同學都會主動協助。不過,

她同時認為同學對自己的能力缺乏信心,在學習方面欠缺積極性。

李老師鼓勵同學如遇到學習上的問題,應多發問、多思考,建立個

人的信心。

當問到李老師為何選擇當老師,李老師透露她在大學時是修讀

文學的,在一次機緣巧合下接觸到教導學生的工作,發現當老師十

分有意義,就決定執起教鞭,加入老師的行列。作為老師,李老師

在教授課本知識之餘,亦希望同學喜愛文學作品,因為文學作品能

引導學生培養正確的思考方法和價值觀,成為具批判思維的公民。

此外,李老師重視與同學的關係,她認為教育是互動的,師生關係

良好,學生在學習時才會事半功倍。李老師真是位重視學生全面發

展和關心學生的好老師。

校園工作繁重又富挑戰性,令老師們身心疲憊。面對壓力,李

老師會選擇聽歌、看電影、看話劇等活動來減壓,放鬆身心。此外,

每當在工作和生活上遇到困難時,身為基督徒的李老師亦會祈禱和

聽詩歌,讓自己在信仰中獲得動力,繼續迎接挑戰。

最後,李老師給學生的勉勵是:希望同學們做個「敦品勵學」

的好學生。「敦品勵學」是指:敦厚品德,勉勵向學。希望同學們

謹記李老師的訓勉,向這個目標邁進。

一張熟悉的面孔──周婉雯老師,是本學年的新老師。同學們

一定不會對周老師感到陌生,因為在過去的一年,周老師在學校擔

任教學助理一職,經常穿梭於校舍中,對學校的環境早已熟悉。在

新一年裏,這位勤勞的教學助理正式成為英文科老師,同時是 1C

班的班主任。

剛投身教育事業的周老師坦言當老師是她小時候的志願,執起

教鞭,把自己的知識灌輸給學生。從小,周老師的英文成績理想,

漸對英文產生濃厚興趣。今天,小時候的願望終成真了。外表和善

的周老師在上課時究竟如何控制課堂秩序呢?原來周老師上課時

相當認真嚴肅的,絕不徇私;但下課後,周老師卻可以跟同學像朋

友般談笑風生,是個親和的好老師。

從英文教學助理到成為正式老師,兩者工作性質截然不同,從

前當教學助理,只負責協助老師準備教材、列印工作紙和為成績落

後的學生進行「補底訓練班」。現在,周老師需為多班同學教授英

語、改簿、備課等,課後更需持續進修,好不辛苦。但積極樂觀的

周老師並未為此感害怕而退縮,反更努力適應。

今年,周老師在筲東度過第二個年頭,對筲東同學略有認識。

她認為筲東同學很乖巧、很熱情,師生可打成一片,不分你我。但

周老師同時覺得同學欠缺自覺性和主動。周老師寄語同學要自覺地

學習,有學習的心,才會有動力讀書。身為英文科老師,她希望同

學不要害怕英文,嘗試接納英文,才是學習英文的不二法門。

在訪問的最後階段,周老師提到她的座右銘為「知足‧感恩」,

周老師認為人生不會完全跟隨自己的意願而行,知道自己擁有什

麼,並常存感恩的心。「快樂」不正正是這樣嗎?

訪問結束前,周老師知道我是畢業班的同學,將要面對公開

試,便勉勵我積極應試,不負多年來的用心學習。與周老師的訪問,

便在一片和諧和歡笑聲中結束。

新的一年,新的開始。一回到學校,我們可以看到不少新臉孔,

今天,我要訪問的是一位文質彬彬的男老師,他就是任教中文和中

史的鄭偉健老師。

鄭老師告訴我,當教師是他小時的志願,他相信教育可以改變

一個人。教育學生、改變學生是老師的責任。教育工作除了要把知

識傳授給學生外,更重要的是要把正面、積極的人生態度灌輸給學

生。從老師的言語間,我明白到「生命影響生命」這句話的意思。

談到鄭老師對筲東同學的印象,他讚許本校學生乖巧,尤其是

初中學生自律性較高。作為中四乙班的班主任,他認為高中的同學

興趣較多,宜訂立明確目標,向著標竿直跑。鄭老師認為同學應先

訂定短期和長期目標,,計劃未來,才能事半功倍。

談到當教師的壓力,鄭老師覺得當教師確是一項艱鉅的工作。

今天的教師,不但要向學生負責,還更向家長和社會負責,責任可

不小。談到老師的減壓之道,鄭老師說他會調整自己的心態,凡事

量力而為便可。除此之外,原來老師也和大部分中學生一樣,會透

過一些悠閒活動來減壓,例如欣賞電影,到處嘗嘗不同的美食,從

中尋覓到樂趣。

作為紅社的社老師,鄭老師得悉紅社過往有很多輝煌的戰績。

鄭老師勉勵同學「前人種樹,後人護蔭。」紅社的將來,就取決於

社員是否耽於安逸或進取進取,鄭老師鼓勵中一「新力軍」要積極

參與活動,為社爭光。

每個人都有屬於自己的格言,而鄭老師認為「明知不可為而為

之」是他人生的格言。這可應用在我們的日常生活上,例如考公開

試一樣,老師說,雖然要取得高分實在不易,但只要盡力而為,盡

自己本分考好這個試,問心無愧便可。我想,同學們都應抱著這種

態度去做好每件事,對每件事都應有適當的堅持。

親和熱誠的錢皓文老師親和熱誠的錢皓文老師親和熱誠的錢皓文老師親和熱誠的錢皓文老師

新的一年,又有許多新成員加入筲東的大家庭。除了中一新生

外,今年我們筲東更加入了一些新老師。而我今次訪問的新老師是

錢皓文老師。

錢老師選擇當教師的原因有兩個。第一,錢老師希望藉此將自

己的長處、知識及自己的學習方法與學生分享,教導學生。第二,

錢老師喜歡與年青人接觸,成為教師就可以多與年輕人交流和溝

通。

錢老師任教的科目是中文和普通話,而任教的對象是初中的同

學。錢老師認為要學好這兩科語文科目的祕訣是要多練習,中文科

要多閱讀、多寫作;普通話科則要多說。如果想要在這兩科取得佳

績,便要一點一滴累積知識,持之以恆是成功的要訣。

今年是錢老師加入筲東的第一年,他擔任中一丁班主任和黃社

社老師。錢老師覺得中一的同學可愛、單純,對中學的生活充滿期

待。他們都認真學習,耐心聆聽老師的話。對於社方面的工作,老

師說雖然與社的負責同學接觸不多,但他也感受到社長及幹事們為

社爭光的積極態度,這一點令錢老師十分鼓舞。錢老師更叮嚀同學

成敗並不重要,重要的是投入參與社的活動,不要有遺憾,因為校

園生活是難忘的,六年的中學生活一瞬即逝,要為自己留下美好的

回憶。

錢老師對於本校的印象良好的,同學們努力、認真追求知識,

又懂得尊師重道,不會對老師說出不敬的話、做出不敬的事。在面

對難題時,筲東的同學態度積極、正面,樂於接受挑戰。錢老師勉

勵我們必須突破自己,求進步,千萬不要安於現狀。如果我們能夠

勇敢突破自己,對我們的成長有莫大的幫助。

錢老師坦言作為老師面對的壓力可不小的,例如工作量多,需

要批改大量課業、想多與同學相處亦騰不出時間。在面對壓力時,

錢老師的減壓方法是吃東西。只要錢老師感到壓力愈來愈大時,他

就會進食美味的食物,心情就舒坦了。還有,錢老師也喜歡聽歌、

唱歌,以及在教會彈奏結他,是位多才多藝的老師。

這次訪問,加深了我對錢老

師的認識,更令我有所得着。錢

老師鼓勵我們要求變、求進步,

只要我們一日比一日進步,就會

愈來愈接近成功。希望各位同學

銘記老師的教誨。

平易健談的林錦昌老平易健談的林錦昌老平易健談的林錦昌老平易健談的林錦昌老師師師師

又是新學年的開始,每一學年都會有老師榮休或調職,筲東這

一個大家庭又注入了新血,林錦昌老師就是其中之一。他是英文科

的老師,同時是輔導委員會的成員。

在訪談過程中,林老師給我們的感覺是平易近人、笑容滿臉、

健談和盡責。他在放學時遇到同學,也不忘提醒同學翌日記得攜帶

書本上課,看得出他是一位盡責的老師。與他聊天就如與同輩朋友

聊天一樣,無所不談。隨了訪談內容外,我們還閒聊了一些升學資

訊、電影、小說等話題。我們發覺他與通識科的何嘉兆老師有幾分

相似。不但身型相似,行為言語都有幾分相似,大家同意嗎?

談到林老師的志願時,他說:「其實我是想當一名小學教師。」

我們錯愕了,問:「為什麼?」他指出他想見證著小朋友的成長,

覺得很有成功感。林老師認為中學老師著重學科知識、學生的升學

就業問題等,使命感較重,壓力大;小學老師著重學生的成長,比

較輕鬆,沒有太大的壓力。但原來當小學教師是他在中學時期的志

願,在小學教師這夢想之前,林老師是想成為一位「港督」。我們

再一次錯愕。這志願未免太偉大了!他想成為「港督」是因為一直

以來只有外國人擔任「港督」一職,他希望可以以港人身份成為首

任「港督」,我們除了用「勇氣」一詞來形容他當年的想法外,就

想不到更貼切的詞語了。然而,從政是一門困難的工作,太多環境

因素的左右,又要配合天時和地利,最終,林老師放棄了這念頭。

談到林老師對筲東同學的印象,他認為同學都很純樸乖巧,尊

重師長。問到學生應如何改善英文水平,他認為學習語文是一點一

滴累積的,必須努力付出,知識不能單靠老師在課堂上傳授,同學

自己必須要下苦功,林老師建議同學可多看英文課外書籍及收看英

文電視台,如:明珠台、BBC 等。「多做多看」是林老師提供給同學

的學習英文竅門。

身為中學教師,壓力可不小。面對壓力時,林老師的減壓方法

與時下的年青人差不多──就是做運動和聽音樂。運動是老師的興

趣,特別是踏單車。除了做運動外,看電影也是他的最愛。他最喜

愛的是勵志電影,而他看過的電影當中,他極力向我們推薦《驕陽

似我》,他說他足足看了六遍。各位同學不妨看看老師的推介。

最後,林老師希望同學們要找到自己的目標,找到自己的目標

就會有動力去努力,有動力去努力就會願望成真。老師說就算跨不

過大學的門檻,也不要放棄任何繼續讀書的機會。在此感謝林錦昌

老師的分享,令我們獲益良多。

新一年,新氣象。每年開學,同學都會三五成群地聚在一

起,尋找自己熟悉和掛念的舊面孔,當然少不了一些新面孔。

沒錯,就是一群新老師。今天,我有幸訪問圖書館館長──郭

偉雄老師。

郭老師從小立志當教師,是受到他姊姊的影響,因為他的

姊姊是位老師,他覺得當老師很有使命感。郭老師早年任教中

文和中史科,現在是學校圖書館館長。談到郭老師是否喜歡這

職位時,他毫不猶疑地說:「喜歡。」這職位令他寓興趣於工

作。原來老師小時候是非常喜愛閱讀的,除了圖書館休館外,

他都會風雨不改的到圖書館看書,郭老師真是個博學多才的

「讀書人」。

談到對本校同學的印象,郭老師認為同學有愛心、熱心助

人、純樸受教,對同學的印象甚好,他希望同學不要介懷成績

的高低,成績並不是最重要,只要同學們肯努力讀書,假以時

日,成績定有進步,郭老師認為品德比成績更重要,一個只追

求成績,忽略品德的學生並不能稱得上是好學生,要兩者兼

備,才稱得上是好學生。這就是郭老師給同學的勉勵。

眾所周知,老師是一種辛苦的行業,公務繁忙,壓力大。

面對壓力時郭老師的減壓方法是找朋友傾訴,其次是以興趣來

減壓。郭老師的興趣除了閱讀外,還有養魚和打羽毛球,可謂

動靜皆宜。同學們遇到壓力時,不訪試試郭老師的減壓方法。

最後,感謝郭老師寶貴的分享,希望各位同學在這學年能

有一個美滿的校園生活。

Ms Moodley has left us before the end of term. We know that

everybody will miss her. We would like to give her our best wishes here.

“Thank you for your teaching, Ms Moodley!” In the coming year, Mr.

Robert Joseph Meszaros, who is from Washington, D. C., USA, will

join our family to be the new Native-speaking English Teacher. He is a

very friendly guy who always puts a smile on his face. Through the

interview with him, we were inspired .I know you guys must want to

know more about our new native teacher, so we asked him a lot of

questions that you might be interested in!

Mr. Meszaros will be in charge of the English Society. Apart from

reading, he also revealed some of the activities that he will launch at

lunch time, such as learning English through pop music. Mr. Meszaros

thought that nowadays music spreads wrong messages with their violent

and sexy lyrics. He said he would choose songs by James Blunt and

Jason Marz whose songs are not too fast or noisy and with ‘clear’ lyrics.

On the other hand, he will hold a lunch club which students can bring

their own lunch boxes to have meal with others and talk to each other in

English. That’s how Mr. Meszaros wants everybody to learn English

with fun.

We also asked about the difference between our students and the

students studying in his previous school. Mr. Meszaros had taught in a

Saudi-Arabian school where all students are Muslims. Boys and girls in

the classes can’t talk with each other and they have to sit in separate

parts of the room which made Mr. Meszaros found it hard to launch any

group activities. For our students, Mr. Meszaros gave us four

adjectives--- cheerful, active, naughty and friendly. He said he usually

saw our students having a lot of different activities during recess and

lunch time. It seems like he loves us very much already!

While some students think memorizing the dictionary is a good

way, Mr. Meszaros considers this a waste of time. He explained that a

dictionary is a tool to help us learn the English language. For instance,

when we encounter a difficult word, we should first guess it, and then

use the dictionary to check its definition and write it down. This is

indeed the correct use of a dictionary rather than memorizing all the

words without a way, just like we wouldn’t memorize all the numbers

calculated by a calculator.

He also discussed his attitude towards English in the interview. He

thinks English is not only for our future such as entering the university

or seeking for a better job, but also a source of enjoyment─listening to

relax, making pen-friends overseas, creating interesting stories, and the

most important one, expressing himself. In his opinion, English helps us

grow. For example, a Chinese having an English name can be a new

identity and a connection to another part of the world since English is

an international language. The more we enjoy, the more we gain.

In addition to the issues about learning, Mr. Meszaros shared his

leisure preference with us. He has a wide range of interests from the

quiet ones like reading and cooking to the active ones including running

and boxing in fitness center. Furthermore, as he is a Catholic, he goes to

church and prays. Doing a variety of activities, he says, can keep us

healthy, both physiologically and psychologically. Akin to his view of

English, the more we enjoy, the more we gain.

Towards the end of the interview, our new native English teacher

showed his sense of humor. Leaving the English room, Hei let

Veronicas open the door as he was switching off the lights. Suddenly,

Mr. Meszaros changed his face like an actor, pretended to be unhappy

and said, “Hei, you aren’t a gentleman! I’m very disappointed!” We

then all burst into laughter.

There is a prevalent saying: “Beauty is in the eyes of the

beholder.” Yet, we guess the attractiveness of Mr. Meszaros is in the

eyes of every girl.

3D CHU Pui-man

I joined the Singapore exchange program from 15th July to 29th

July, 2012. I have learnt some very useful and important life skills

during this trip. What are they?

I would like to talk about some special activities in Singapore first.

We went to the Universal Studios Singapore! I played a lot of rides, like

roller coaster, Transformers (The ultimate 3D battle) and Madagascar

(Ship trip). I also watched the 4D film "Shrek!", but I thought the 4D

film in Hong Kong Disneyland was much better.

Transformers (The ultimate 3D battle) was my favourite ride! I

rode two times! It was exciting and interesting!

We also went to the Night Safari. I saw many animals there, like

elephants, lions, tigers and sheep etc. Besides the animals, I also saw

many stars in the sky which I have never seen in Hong Kong.

The day before departure, we went bowling as our group activity. I

thought it was quite easy and fun. Next we went to Ken’s buddy – Jue

Shi’s house. It was huge compared to the size of Hong Kong’s flats

altogether there were 5 storeys!. Then we all went to have dinner and

the food was delicious.

Finally, what have I learnt in these 2 weeks? I learnt to be more

patient and be more caring for others. I think learning these can make

me strong and it is useful for me in the future.

3D GAN Sze-wing

I am so honoured to be able to join this exchange programme. In

the beginning, we did not know each other very well, but after spending

two weeks together, we all got closer. On the last day, all of us were

very reluctant to leave Singapore.

Through this exchange programme, I got the chance to stay at a

Singapore school for ten days to experience the Singapore’s school life.

My hosting school is Coral Secondary School. The campus is much

more spacious than Hong Kong. I thought I was very lucky as I could

meet a lot of new friends.

I have found out that their teaching and learning strategies are very

different from the ones in Hong Kong. Moreover, they put great

emphasis on co-curricular activities (CCA), and let students develop

their different interests, so they will have CCA two times a week.

This is my first time to go on a trip for a long time without my

family, so I was always homesick. Through this trip, I had all sorts of

feelings, but the happiest one was that my buddy and I had great

friendship and I regard it as the best home in the world. Meanwhile, I

have also learned to respect different races and cultures, try my very

best to live together in perfect harmony and maintain strict observation

of regulations of the hosting school. Although there have been some

moments of unhappiness I think we should treasure the many wonderful

moments we have had.

3D LI Ki-hang

I enjoy this exchange programme in Singapore with other Hong

Kong students a lot. At first we didn’t know each other very well, but

after two weeks, we became good friends.

I also enjoy Singapore’s school life. The school is huge compared

to Hong Kong. It has many facilities that Hong Kong schools do not

have such as canteens serving different cuisine, running tracks, karaoke

room, gymnasium, bridge and fish pond. Compared to Hong Kong, the

special thing is that there are no air-conditioners in all the classrooms so

I always felt very hot during lessons! How lucky that we can study in

air-conditioned rooms in Hong Kong!

I like the Singapore students best because they are very kind to us

even though we didn’t know each other before. One day, after lesson

hours, all of our buddies needed to have lessons so we played basketball

together. Some students who we did not know before joined us and we

became friends.

May I take this opportunity to thank my buddy: Jue Shi and his

whole family. Jue Shi played games with me and taught me how to play

International Chess. He was so nice to me and he always helped me

with everything!!! He is a helpful and smart boy. His mum cooked

delicious dinners for us and she drove us to school every morning. His

dad also brought me to many special restaurants so that I could enjoy

what Singaporeans eat every day. Also, I would like to thank Mr Yee,

the Singapore teacher. He is one of the kindest teachers that I have ever

met. He cared so much about us. He spent his free time to be with us

and brought us to Universal Studios with his family members to have

fun!

I think this exchange programme is very valuable! We always keep

smiling and enjoy the programme a lot. This is really an unforgettable

experience for me!

3D LIU Ka-yi

I learnt many things and had so much fun during the Singapore –

Hong Kong Exchange Programme. We visited many famous places,

such as Singapore Discovery Centre, Newater Visitor Centre and Asian

Civilization Museum. I could understand more about Singaporean

culture which is quite different from ours.

Bedok North Secondary School's principal, Ms Ho, took us to visit

Universal Studios (USS), the Night Safari and Singapore Flyer. In

USS, we played many exciting games and watched many performances,

such as dancing and some cartoon shows. At Night Safari, we saw many

animals that we had never seen before, including lions, tigers and many

bats. Next, we visited the Singapore Flyer and we saw many famous

places. Although I was scared of the height, I was not really frightened

since it moved slowly and smoothly. I could feel that I was so close to

the Sun.

Ms Ho invited us to have dinner. The Vice Principal, Mr Yee, took

good care of us and tried to make us feel comfortable although he was

very busy. He is friendly and generous. Also, Ms Ho and Mr Yee invited

us to watch a film – Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. Mr Yee took us to

have dinner and go bowling. I think these activities helped us know

more about each other.

This was really an unforgettable trip!

3D YAN Yin-leong

I am glad that I have joined the Singapore trip. The exchange

programme allowed me to learn more about Singaporean society and

culture. I have also experienced Singaporean’s daily life.

My buddy is Vincent Fan. He lives in a middle-class family. He is

a playful boy and has a little brother. We played basketball together

because we were both sporty boys. Their life is not the same as ours in

Hong Kong. They usually have dinner at 6 p.m. and sleep at 9 o’clock.

The most important thing is that they never play computer games from

Mondays to Thursdays. Therefore, I needed to change my habit and to

behave myself in order to be a good boy. So every day, there was

nothing that I could do besides playing chess with him. But that wasn’t

a bad thing. It lets me move away from computer games and train my

brain. One special thing that I would really like to mention is that his

mother cooked many delicious dishes for me to eat.

He studies in Bedok North Secondary School. This school is quite

big and has many facilities, such as three basketball courts, one big

football pitch, a gym room, a canteen, and a garden. Their classrooms

aren’t installed with air-conditioners, so they can save on expenses and

spend on other aspects. Their education system divides the classes in

three types: the express classes, normal (academic) classes and normal

(technical) classes. I studied in the best class in which the students are

smart and nice to everyone. The subjects that study include History,

Science and Literature.

Our school also arranged a lot of visits for us to learn more about

Singapore including Discovery Centre, NEWater Visitor Centre, Asian

Civilization Museum and Kampong Glam. These visits let us know so

much more about the country.

In this trip, I met new friends from different secondary schools,

and different kinds of people from Malaysia, India, Hong Kong and

Singapore. I also learnt a lot about Singaporean culture. All of this

experience has widened my horizon. I need to thank my buddy’s family

for taking care of me during these two weeks.

3D YEUNG Pui-yu

I am very honoured to participate in the exchange program. We

stayed in Singapore from August 15 to August 29. The purposes of my

participation in this exchange program were to learn more about

Singapore and to learn to be independent.

Before the trip, I was a bit worried if I could communicate with the

Singaporeans. After the trip, I have learnt that if you try your best, you

will succeed.

We visited several attractions in Singapore, for example, Singapore

Discovery Centre, NEWater Visitor Centre, Asian Civilization Museum,

Kampong Glam and Little India. Among all these places, I liked Little

India most. It was because there were a lot of interesting things to buy.

We had different activities every day, so we were busy every day.

Sometimes we went shopping with our buddies and we visited

Singapore's famous places, such as, Universal Studios Singapore and

Night Safari.

Now I'm looking forward to my buddy coming to Hong Kong. I

hope I can give her a nice memory and she will like Hong Kong.

I would love to go to Singapore again. Singapore is a multi-racial

country. Although Singaporeans come from different places, they all are

very nice. BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!

古語云:「讀萬卷書不如行萬里路。」在這個暑假,我們校內

10 位同學在呂培成老師的帶領下,參加了由香港教育局舉辦的【同

行萬里】高中學生內地交流計劃,一同前往長沙張家界多個自然風

景場區,了解當地民族歷史、經濟和社會發展。在這個為期五日的

交流旅程中,我們走了許多路,也學會了不少知識,確是獲益良多。

第一天第一天第一天第一天

我們清晨五時三十分在紅磡火車站出發。抵達深圳後, 我們

便乘搭和諧號高鐵列車直達長沙。經過三小時的車程後,我們終於

到達湖南的第一站─橘子洲頭。導遊首先帶領我們觀看毛澤東年輕

時的雕像,然後帶我們到長株潭兩型社會展覽館,了解當地的經濟

發展、現況以及未來的規劃。晚上,我們到了當地的餐館吃第一餐

的湖南菜。因為當地全年潮濕的緣故,湖南人都喜歡吃酸辣的食

物,以收去濕驅風之效。在這天起的每一餐,我們都品嚐著以香辣

為主的菜色,確體驗到當地的飲食文化。

第二天第二天第二天第二天

我們一天清早便乘車到被列入《世界自然遺產名錄》的張家界

國家森林公園。在這個主張綠色環境的森林公園,百步範圍便可見

到垃圾桶;公園以電動環保巴士接載遊客,以降低污染對公園所造

成的破壞,可見政府對自然環境保育的重視。公園裡的壯美絕倫自

然風光和高聳入雲的山景令我們讚嘆不已。“三千奇峰,八百秀

水”的美譽真是當之無愧。

第三天第三天第三天第三天

我們到訪了苗族人集居的矮寨,並與苗族人閒談。主人家告訴

了我們一個很驚訝的信息:「我們近年只有一位大學生,讀北京大

學,現在到城市工作。」後來更補充:「如果有村民考上名校的話,

全村村民會一起為他交學費,有時候大家不夠錢,他就要中途輟學

了。」在參觀矮寨期間,我們看到矮寨正在進行大型工程,心想當

地開始繁榮起來了,想不到原來村民的生活是如此貧困,全村人的

收入都不足以支付一人上大學的學費。相比在香港,大部分家庭都

能獨力承擔子女讀大學的學費,遇有經濟困難的學生更可向政府申

請低息信貸,可見生活在香港真是十分幸福!離開矮寨後,我們便

乘車到鳳凰古城欣賞夜景。雖然天色已晚,但觀光的人依然很多。

店舖的霓虹燈與街燈的燈光投映在湖面上,令鳳凰古城的夜景美不

勝收,使人留連忘返。

第四天第四天第四天第四天

我們這一天首要去的地方依然是鳳凰古城。在晨光的照射下,

我們發現原來鳳凰古城揉合了古今中外的風格,並巧妙地建成了一

幢幢的樓房,甚為美觀。這跟我們昨夜看到的景色,確是截然不同。

我們到了沈從文先生的故居探索文學歷史,故居內收藏了許多沈先

生生前的文學作品,配合導賞員的講解,使我們對沈先生有更深入

的認識。在離開之前,我們到了全城最有名的薑糖店─鎮竿張氏。

店內分成左右兩邊,左邊有員工在拉薑糖,右邊則有大批遊客在爭

相購買薑糖。我們一行十人也買了幾包不同口味的薑糖,作手信送

贈親友。

第五天第五天第五天第五天

這是我們整個行程的最後一天。 我們到了三一重工股份有限

公司,了解湖南的重工企業,我們除了參觀一台台巨型的機械外,

亦有幸看到全球最長的吊臂車,實在令我們大開眼界。這些吊臂車

曾參與日本核輻射事故中的拯救工作,貢獻良多。到了下午,我們

又到了湖南大學聽國情教育講座。 教授讚美湖南是個山明水秀的

好地方,又指湖南未來會將發展焦點放在環境保育上,並主動以旅

遊業帶動經濟,這個講座實令我們得益良多。講座完畢後,我們全

體四百多名師生,便乘坐高鐵離開長沙,返回香港。

後感後感後感後感

我們非常感謝學校給予我們這群高中學生到內地交流的機

會,讓我們親身到湖南了解當地的自然風貌、民族特色及城市發

展,加深我們對中國國情的認識,拓闊我們的視野。
