十架的呼喊 ~生命雋語~

“耶和華有憐憫，有恩典。”（詩 103：8）

只有傻瓜才會輕忽罪。聖經曾警告我們，罪對我們生活和社會所造

成的災害。我相信犯罪應當得到懲罰。當一個精明的律師説明犯罪的客

戶逃離法律制裁時，我會忿忿不平。可是，我不希望自己因為犯罪而得

到懲罰。當然，在誠實地面對自我時，我知道我的罪也是應該被罰的。

不論我或是別人所犯的罪有多卑劣，沒有一項罪是加利利勝不了

的。上帝非常瞭解，這也就是為什麼耶穌要被釘死。十字架不是一個關

於嚴厲的上帝因為可憐他的獨生子而軟化了心腸的故事。十字架呈現出

一個慈愛的上帝，願意為我們的罪付出贖價。十字架比我們的罪更大

聲。“若罪大叫”，作家吉姆 麥克吉根（JimMcGuiggan）這樣寫：“十

字架便如雷貫耳。……當罪細訴謊言，企圖混淆我們的視聽之時，十字

架便差遣真理來並驅走黑暗。”

上帝是否會對罪行心軟？十字架呼喊：“不！”上帝是否會憐憫罪

人？聖經說：“是的。”（詩 103：10）上帝憐憫我們。他知道我們是如

何受造的，知道我們不過是塵土（14）。因為十字架所付出的代價，使

他徹底地赦免了我們。

也許你今日需要明白這一點，十字架赦免了你們所犯下的罪。上帝豐

盛、完全、無以倫比的愛從加利利山清朗地閃耀，他對我們顯露何等的

憐憫、恩典。當耶穌死在那棵樹上之時，無論罪或大或小、耶穌都能全

然饒恕。

教會報告事項

1. 主日學老師及奠基少年 (FY) 领袖就職禮 (新事項)

2019 年的上午 9 時 15 分及 11 時 15 分主日學老師及奠基少年领

袖將在 2 月 2 日星期日在各祟拜舉行就職禮，我們鼓勵各位早

來出席崇拜，以支持他們事奉的承诺。

2. 英文班 (新事項)

2020 年第一學期的英文班將於 2 月 10 日開課，時間是學期間

每周一上午 10-12 點，在教會授課。如果您想練習或提高英文

水平，請隨時參加，也歡迎帶同家人朋友一起參加。目前有三

個不同程度的班级。請為英文班的老師和同工的服事禱告，也

禱告有更多的弟兄姐妹一起參與服事，我們需要更多的老師和

3. 前線消息 (新事項)

CCC 教會所支持的宣教士，他們在前線的消息，宣教委員會已

經制成小冊子，供大家閱讀。並請為宣教士及他們的家庭及事

工禱告，求神大大使用並保護他們，求神動工開路，施恩憐憫，

拯救更多人的靈魂。小冊子放在食堂門口的宣教布告欄墻上的

盒裏，請取一份。謝謝。

4. 主日學假期安排

嬰兒和小學主日學校假期活動將開辦至 1 月 26 日。感謝所有

自願提供幫助的人。在這段時期： •9:15 幼兒（2 歳至小一）：在第一週和第三週，幼兒將參加

家庭崇拜的第一部分，然後前往 2 號房間參加假期活動。在其

他幾週，幼兒將在上午 9:15-10:30 在 2 號房間參加集體活動。 •9:15 小學 (小二至小六)：小學的孩子們將參加每週崇拜的前

30 分鐘，然後前往禮堂參加假期活動。 •11:15 幼兒（2 歳至小一）：在上午 11:15 直接前往 1 號房

參加假期活動。 •9:15 小學 (小二至小六)：小學生們參加英語堂崇拜的前 30分鐘，然後直接前往 2 號房參加假期活動。 詳細信息將張貼在教會的佈告欄上。

5. 教堂維修及修理工程

教堂建築所需的維修及修理工程，將於 1 月 20 日開始進行，

預計會在 3 月初完成。首期搭棚在東立面（即教堂的前面），

由 1 月中至 2 月中。第二期搭棚在北立面（即英語堂茶點範

圍），由 2 月中至 3 月中。工程期間，教堂仍可繼續使用，崇

拜不會受影響，唯前門將不能使用，會眾出入需改用鄰近副堂

旁邊的入口。 這次維修費用預計為十至十五萬元，包括下列項目： （1）北立面和東立面的石牆及磚牆的重嵌灰縫水泥工程； （2）檢查及清理所有排水溝，雨水斗及落水管； （3）檢查所有遮雨板。 這些工程將解決內牆因雨水侵入導致長期潮濕的問題，亦可能

顯露出一些其他需要處理的問題。工程開始後，我們會更新動

• Their youngest (Christian, who is 9 months old)

is not the greatest sleeper and he wakes up 3, 4

times at night and so they have not been

sleeping well - please pray for him, that he will

be able to sleep through the night sooner rather

than later.

• Their second, Ethan (9 years old), is finding

school uninteresting and they’re trying to figure

out how to, with his teacher, help him.

• They are thankful that Jayden (their 11-year-

old) and Micah (their 3-year-old) are enjoying

school).

• Pray for S's back, which has been bothering her

the last couple of weeks. Please ask that she'll

be able to find a good physio/chiro to help her

ease her pain.

• Pray for H as his work load increases, that he

will be able to do them well. He will be

travelling to Indonesia in a few weeks to check

out a potential ministry partner where they can

send short-term teams in in the future.

• Pray for financial support which continues to be

under-supported at 75%.

• For iPlay - their faithful colleague, Eva, who

continues to persevere, but she really needs

more children in the centre to keep it going and

it's proving to be difficult. Please lift her and

her team of staff up

plant early next year. Pray for those who will be part of the core group starting this new ministry.

• Pray for ongoing ministry in Bible teaching at Baan Tawai, thursday night group, and training bible teachers at Grace church(ss teachers), Aym, Bob and Ning, Peung and Thanit.

• Pray for their family, as they all continue to trust God as they are apart. Praise God that James, and Bill and May can all be in Thailand for Christmas.

M J Oli Jono • J continues to have a busy load teaching at

Olive's homeschool co-op and teaching biblical theology at the mother's group. Pray for rest and reduction of stress as some weeks her preparation levels are quite exhausting.

• Pray for wisdom for M as he works with the fathers to start leading studies. Pray for clarity to know what goal he should have for them.

• Pray for a couple/s to meet up to do pre-marriage course. Usually there are people interested but this semester no couple has enquired. As an alternative, pray they can re-connect with past couples to do follow up marriage strengthening with them.

• Pray for M to connect with two fathers at the school he works at. Pray he will be able to

connect and pray for the establishment of a relationship with them.

• Wisdom to equip the four Servants

Team sisters (Odnoo, Odzaya, Zulaa and

Sophia) to be helping others grow in their

faith

• Please pray for Conrad as he continues

to build up the brothers’ ministry, which

has been extremely tough to find FAT

(Faithful, Available and Teachable) boys

willing to learn and grow.

• They are pretty exhausted from a really

busy summer. Please pray for good

recovery and strong devotions! Please also

pray for wisdom as they guide and minister

to the Servants Team in training and

development for the coming year.

• They have a lot of follow up fruit from their

summer missions and evangelism program.

Their Servants Team each have a few

sisters they are following up with. Please

pray for these new believers to have a

continued heart to grow in knowing Jesus,

especially most are high school students. And

for the 4 servants team members to continue to

persevere with love to look after these new

believers.

• Please pray for their Fall Thrust month this

September as they evangelize on campus.

Please pray for soft hearted first year students

to receive Jesus and interested to come to their

Bible club. Please also pray for team unity as

they labor together on campus with whole

heartedness and a deep desire to see not only

souls saved but students following Christ.

Usually many students pray to receive Jesus

but don't have the heart to continue to learn.

• Please pray they can identify where the leak is coming from in their bathroom roof! They've been trying to fix it for the past month because of heavy storms and rains but can't find the cause.

Pray for FOCUS:

• Phil will be heading to once again

to National Training Event in Canberra.

This conference is huge —up to 2000

university students and staff across

Australia and the world gather for 5 days

after exams are over. The theme is

“Encountering God: Hearing His Voice” and

the aim is to do exactly that; for us to gather

around God’s Word, together, be

transformed by the gospel, trained in the

Gospel and sent with the gospel.

After the conference, Anna (another

FOCUS Macquarie Uni senior staff leader)

and Phil will be leading a student mission

team on the Central Coast with The Lakes

Evangelical church. It’s an exhilarating,

exhausting and exciting time of hearing

about what God is doing through

universities across Australia and the world

and to be challenged in Biblical

understanding, passionate praise and how

to live.

to lead his strand group alongside

FOCUS Sophia.

▪ Pleas pray for the students attending

to be transformed and sent as

disciple-makers of all nations,

beginning on their university

campuses.

▪ The mission to Lakes

Evangelical afterwards to be a

Australia and for the students to be

prepared to put what they’ve learnt

at NTE into servant-hearted action.

• Having Phil away for 9 days with end of

school events and Miriam working 4

days/week is a time of anticipated stress for

the family so please pray for the family to

be extra patient and kind with one

another in the days ahead.

NTE（National Training Event）。這次會

In Spain

• The Mayor of Zalla, Juanra, who is also their

neighbour. He is very influential in the town so

pray that he would continue to be positive about

opening a pilgrim hostel and seek to help us.

Pray for him and his family to be saved.

• Pray in particular that the Red Cross

building would become available for us to

use as the hostel and that the local Council

would be fully behind this project.

• Pray for more personal friendships. The

Basques have a bit of a reputation for being

hard to get to know. At times they find this

frustrating and they long for deeper

relationships. Please pray for Iñaki, Juanjo,

Isabel and Alejandra.

• The Pastor of the mother church, Las

Arenas, has asked James to teach an

ethics course at their partnering church in

Bilbao. This will be a new and challenging

task but also a great opportunity to

encourage the believers there to think more

biblically about how they handle tough

• Carolynn and their teammate Karina are

planning to do a series of Christmas baking

workshops and a gingerbread house

making event in November and December

as a way to get to know people in the lead

up to Christmas. Pray people will be

interested and God to open doors.

• Thank God for another positive meeting in

late October with Juanra, the mayor of Zalla

about the pilgrim hostel. We are putting

forward a project proposal for the use of a

council building in town. Pray that it will be

vacated and that the council will not be

prejudiced against us because we are

evangelical Christians.

• * Thank God for their bi-monthly Sunday

gatherings and Bible study. Pray for local

believers or seekers who would like to

come and join.

• J leads a lunchtime small group, mostly

made up brothers who work in banks and

other financial institutions. They are going

through the Master Life discipleship. Please

pray for J to grow and strengthen the group

to not only be solid believers in their

workplace, but also shine for Him through

their work, their witness and by bringing the

Word to their colleagues and clients.

• J just got back from a mobilisation trip

overseas. The highlight for him was an

evening with about 20 young

professionals committed to M, who are

seriously considering how they can stay

in their profession, yet go to a urban

cities to live and work, and being part of

something bigger to see people blessed and reached. Please pray that many more workers of this kind will be convicted to go, live, work and serve in an intentional, incarnational and integrative way in places less reached by the good news.

• Believers are facing pressure from the

authorities who have been talking to

them, giving them a list of

requirements to comply with, namely: hanging the flag at the pulpit, reporting activities, reporting finances, pre-approval for any special events.

1. A Long Summer & Getting Back Into

Routine

They’ve just come off a long (and hot!)

summer being out of routine with the

kids at home and trying to juggle work

and other ministry responsibilities whilst

also spending time with family in

Singapore and enjoying some vacation

time.

2. Slowly Settling Into Church

They have settled on an international

church as their main place for worship,

partly for security reasons and partly for

edification and encouragement reasons

for the whole family.

• Please pray for the kids that they will

settle into a new school year well,

with new classmates, teachers,

workloads and responsibilities.

• Please pray for wisdom to know how

to engage well at the church they are

at given their other responsibilities

and communities they are a part of.

• Please pray for the many believers

and churches here facing many

kinds of pressure. Pray for wisdom

and boldness at times that they

encounter difficulties. Pray

especially during this time that the

church will grow deeper in maturity,

stand firm and be a light to this

nation. And please pray for J & B

that they will also be wise, patient and

persevere in this climate of uncertainty.

• Please pray for 2 live proposals that they

have right now - one with a university to

provide intercultural training to its

international students, and another to

provide intercultural training for a

company looking to integrate a foreign

acquisition to its operations - that these

would materialise and be the kick-start

they need to get going. Please pray that

it will become clearer how they can

integrate their businesses to gain

efficiencies and be a better support for

one another.

• Please pray that they will continue to

balance life, work, other ministries and

organisational responsibilities, that they

will faithfully serve in all these

capacities. Pray also for the trips

abroad, for safety, meaningful times of

sharing, and that people will be inspired

to be involved in reaching the unreached

people segments in urban C.

• Finally, year-to-date financial support level

is at around 75%. At this rate and taking

into account committed support to come

they will likely end the year around

85%. Pray that they will continue to trust in

a loving and providential God who has

faithfully provided 100% of their financial

needs each year.

Please pray that they will indeed be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances and that this will fuel the patience and perseverance that is required in these challenging times.

并成为更大的祝福，将福音传给他人。

请祷告愿将有更多的此类工人能被興

起，他们从事生活、工作和服务于有组

织的、道成肉身的 和需要神的福音的地

方。

教会正在面临来自与他们交谈的当局的

压力，并向他们列出了一系列要遵守的

2019 年 10月通讯

1. 一个漫长的夏天之后回到常规

任和谐相处。

•求神赐给我们智慧，使我们知道如何

与他们所在的教会和社区有良好的关

系。

•请为这里众多面临各种压力的信徒和

教会祷告。当他们遇到困难时，求神赐

给他们智慧和勇气。特别要在这段时间

祷告，求神使教会更加成熟，站稳立

场，成为这个国家的光。请为我们祈

祷，他们也将在这种不确定的气候中变

得明智、耐心和坚持不懈。

•请祈求 2个生活提案,他们现在有一个大

学为国际学生提供跨文化培训,和另一个公

司希望整合海外收购业务,这些将成为现实,

他们需要的启动。请祈祷他们如何整合他们
