We welcome you on behalf of organizers of the fair the International Educational Centre OPTIMA STUDY and the Exhibition Company OPTIMA EXPO!More and more often we tend to speak of education as an economic category. In this respect the education either in Russia or abroad can be considered as a kind of investment project. Apparently, the education provides us with the necessary competitive advantages at the labour market which allow us to create prerequisites for successful career and interesting life full of dramatic events. If you are quite ambitious and seriously think of a career in a major international corporation operating at the Russian market or abroad, than you actually have to strive for education abroad. Undeniable advantage of a British, American, Canadian, Australian or European diploma is its total convertibility. Obvious pluses of education abroad also include gaining invaluable life experience. After spending some time abroad the majority of students find out that they start to take life more seriously and responsibly, become more self-confident.Organizer of the fair the International Educational Centre OPTIMA STUDY is a leading Russian consulting company in the field of education abroad. OPTIMA STUDY is the official representative in Russia of various educational institutions of Great Britain, Ireland, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Greece, Cyprus, Czech Republic, China and other countries. Many of them will participate in the 1st International Fair Education Abroad in Samara and Togliatti. We are sure that the fair will be interesting for schoolchildren, students and their parents, as well as for the heads and specialists of Russian institutes and universities interested in establishment and development of direct contacts with their foreign colleagues. This project is going to become annual and promote social activity of young people, academic mobility of students, scientists and researchers, growth of professional competence of representatives of educational and scientific community of our region.

Welcome to the landmark fair in the field of education! These are not just fine words. The first specialized fair Education abroad organized by the company OPTIMA STUDY is really unique, as it will gather in one place the key players of the educational market not only from the Povolzhsky federal district and even not only those from Russia, but from the whole world! This is a big event for those who study for their own reasons, not just because it is in fashion; for those who honestly believe that only education gives a person the opportunity to be individual and constantly grow, to be a specialist in his field and always strive for new horizons.Today you can hardly surprise anyone with an educational fair, but only OPTIMA EXPO is offering a fair with such a wide range of educational institutions of Russia, Europe and all the imaginable parts of the world. Thus, this fair becomes that very site where one can directly talk to representatives of Russian and foreign educational institutions of the highest level whether it be a university, a college or a language school. The Association of Russian consultants on education abroad sincerely wishes all the participants and guests of the fair to find solutions to their tasks, find new partners, friends and keep moving forward. Remember: only those who set ambitious goals achieve them. Keep trying!

I am happy to greet you at the First International Fair Education abroad! This is the first time that our region welcomes an event of such a scale: almost forty participants from all over the world represent their educational institutions and programs in Samara and Togliatti.Being the organizers of the fair, we would like this milestone event to become a certain starting point: for foreign participants of the fair to discover a new promising page in the atlas of the modern Russia, for visitors to expand their vision of the modern world of education, and for the future students to ask questions directly to the representatives of foreign educational institutions, obtain first-hand information and evaluate their proficiency in a foreign language. One of the most significant values of the mankind is freedom. We would like to present to everyone an additional degree of freedom the freedom to choose the education, the freedom to choose the future! All the best!

For the recent years the interest of Russian society to educational issues grew considerably. The social conscience underwent considerable changes: the wish to obtain formal education gave way to desire to obtain the competences which mainly determine the real dynamics of professional self-fulfillment of a personality. Modern world does not stand still; it changes to become more open. Sensible unification in the production sphere, overcoming of sociocultural and language barriers became day-to-day realities. In this respect it is actual for the Russian schoolchildren to learn the experience of foreign schools and the opportunities to get general and professional education in the countries of Europe, Asia and America. The fair Education abroad is the first of the kind in Samara and it gives a rare opportunity to see a wide range of educational services provided outside Russia. At the same time the increase of the quality of our schoolchildren and students education in foreign schools, colleges and universities forms a prospective for their professional establishment in our country today the chances for a well-prepared, thinking and socially active university graduate or a young scientist to become a real master of his profession are higher than ever. I wish success and wellbeing to all the participants and guests.

We are living in the period of changes and globalization. Now more than ever every one of us feels like a tiny part of the Universe and in our mind the world tends to become borderless. In order to keep up making the world a better place, breaking stereotypes, getting rid of the old prejudices, developing and forming global thinking, guaranteeing stable and deserved current and future life for ourselves and for our relatives, we need a new type of knowledge the knowledge oriented at the international experience and practice, at the knowledge that may help us develop the necessary intercultural competences and motivate us to learning foreign languages. One of the urgent goals of modern education described as one of the top priorities in the Bologna declaration is the promotion of academic mobility both for the teachers and for the students. • Recruitment storyfor Russia

The College, a six-time consecutive winner of annual Student Satisfaction rankings in the Province of Ontario, is introducing a revamped and improved version of its acclaimed Hospitality and Tourism Management post-graduate degree program in September 2012.The dynamic program provides a healthy mix of theoretical and applied learning that provides students with an in-depth understanding of Canadian best practices in the fast-growing hospitality and tourism industry. It is highly popular with students both from inside and outside of Niagara, with about 65 per cent of enrolled students coming from overseas, said Jeff Stewart, Niagara Colleges Chair of the School of Hospitality and Tourism. The blend of cultures in the classroom adds rich context to the learning environment as well as prestige to the program, which is viewed locally as a direct gateway for career-seekers looking for opportunity in Niagaras diverse tourism economy.Changes to the program have been under development by College faculty and staff to ensure that enrolled students receive the very best in hospitality and tourism training, with graduates having preparation for positions in all aspects of tourism operations, including hotel management, attraction management and destination marketing. The changes have made unique improvements to an already strong curriculum, with new courses in Hospitality Business Communication, Canadian Niche Tourism and Hospitality and Tourism Career Exploration added to the program.Following a lengthy time period of planning and industry consultation, Niagara Colleges School of Hospitality and Tourism made changes to the post-graduate management program to focus on some areas of the industry that are unique to Canada, said Stewart. We wanted to provide our students with a uniquely Canadian experience, one where anybody in the world can come and learn about our amazing tourism industry. The Canadian Niche Tourism class is one of the new courses added to the program and one that has all the faculty members excited, said Stewart. The class will have a focus on the characteristics of Canadas tourism industry, one that will include units on traditional hospitality cornerstones such as geography, but also involve content focusing on emerging trends in tourism, such as wine touring and adventure tourism.

The class itself reflects not only Canadian tourism, but also Canadian culture, with course themes involving the countrys outlook as a collection of diverse cultures, rather than an assembly of shared values. In short, it provides a true Canadian atmosphere for the student who puts value on environmental learning, said Stewart. This course is very unique and prepares all students for the tourism business in Canada, he said. Themes discussing the impact of diversity and globalization on the local hospitality sector are all reviewed within the Canadian context and the program allows all students, no matter their country of origin, to learn from one another.Hospitality and Tourism Management has long been Niagara Colleges flagship program for post-degree hospitality students, and Stewart hopes the recent improvements will help attract a healthy growth of students from eastern Europe and Russia.Dedicated students from international markets have been amongst the best pupils to graduate from the program, with many of them employed at local, highly successful tourism operations, said Stewart. Our Hospitality and Tourism Management program has been attracting students from around the world and I think the reason for that is because it provides training and education for a global market, he said. The program truly fills an international educational gap and we are very proud of the diverse student enrolment that solution reflects. In addition to tailoring to the needs of students, the program changes also reflect exciting developments within Canadian tourism, much of which happens in Niagara Falls, a destination that attracts about 15 million visitors each year. Also known as the Honeymoon Capital of the World and the Cataract City, Niagara Falls has always been a tourism powerhouse, with its main attraction, of course, being the Falls itself, a set of two waterfalls along the Niagara River that divides Canada and the United States that combined create the highest water flow rate in the world. The ledge sees water crashing down a height of 165 feet, and the Horseshoe Falls, the Canadian waterfall, can be viewed from up close by riding the historical Maid of the Mist steamboat. But Niagara tourism has grown exponentially in recent years. Clifton Hill, the tourism and hotel

Surrounded amongst the midst (and mist) of the massive and prosperous Niagara Falls tourism sector, Niagara College provides a unique, internationally flavoured hospitality program that is quickly gaining worldwide recognition.

  • district of Niagara Falls, has grown to include two gaming casinos and a bevy of world-class, Fallsview hotels, and the Niagara Parks Commission continues to build a wonderful roster of natural events and attractions along the Niagara River. However, the regions tourism industry goes beyond Niagara Falls. Down the Niagara River is historical Niagara-on-the-Lake, the first capital of Upper Canada. The towns downtown is designated as a historically significant tourist area, containing numerous heritage buildings and attractions. Also located in Niagara-on-the-Lake is Fort George, an important battleground in the War of 1812, a battle that saw British loyalists and First Nations communities unite to defend Canada from American interests.Additionally, Niagara is home to Canadas wine country, with the region and its wineries in communities including Grimsby, Vineland, Jordan, Beamsville, St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake, providing more than 80 per cent of the countrys total wine production.Niagara is the benefactor of a microclimate because of its positioning directly between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, two of the Great Lakes. The microclimate provides ideal conditions for grape growing both in terms of weather and soil conditions. With the ripe conditions for winemaking, and the additional benefit of being able to produce icewine, a sweet variety of wine made with grapes harvested during the winter time, Niagaras wine industry exploded towards the turn of the century. The regions wineries are a unique mix of big producers alongside independent, cottage wineries that dot the beautiful Niagara escarpment.Additional tourism opportunities are plentiful in Niagara, which is known nationally as one of Canadas largest golfing destinations. The new, exciting agri-tourism sector is also quickly growing, with several different exciting and exotic farm-and-country style events and attractions, such as maple syrup tastings and pumpkin farm tours, for visitors to enjoy. The travelers out there who just cant get enough sun will find accommodation in Niagara as well. The regions southern shoreline, along Lake Erie, is padded with pristine beaches, including the bustling public Bay Beach in Greater Fort Erie and Sherkston Shores, a beautiful resort/campground in Port Colborne. With a wonderful combination of history, nature, culture and excitement, Niagara is quickly establishing itself as a world-class visitor destination, providing a wonderful backdrop for the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. The program focuses on all the new, exciting tourism opportunities happening in the Niagara area, said Stewart. Being located in the tourism capital of Canada that is Niagara Falls provides such a huge opportunity for us and our students. To capitalize on all of the blossoming opportunities for career-seekers in the hospitality and tourism industry, Niagara College is moving full-steam ahead to create Canadas top school in that area, focusing on metrics including cross-curriculum collaboration and enterprising opportunities. The colleges Hospitality and Tourism Management post-grad program is offered at the schools beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. That campus offers Niagaras business, culinary and other enterprising programs and is nestled against the Niagara Escarpment, a United Nations recognized Biosphere.
