Impoverished living in the Philippines
Tracy and I believe in takingyoung adults on mission trips to
serve the poor overseas. It
helps them to not only gain
perspective as Americans, but
to gain Gods heart for the
hurting. It is now time for our
sons Corban (15) and Connor
(14) to go on their first mission
trip to serve the poorest of the
poor in the Philippines with us.
I traveled to the Philippinestwo years ago on a mission
trip and my life was forever
impacted by the families I met
who live in the slums, and bythe Filipino missionaries who
tirelessly serve them. Tracy
and I will be returning with our
boys and a small team.
We will serve by feeding
hungry families, performing
music and evangelistic dramas,
and sharing the gospel. The
last time we went, many men
and women gave their lives to
Jesus. Afterwards thetransformation continued as
many were discipled by our
missionary friends.
Like other countries, there aremany dangers for the poorest
citizens and sex trafficking is
one of them. Our team will be
educating the adults and
children on how to avoid this
trap.
Recently there was a massive
typhoon that wiped out the
slums we are going to. Families
living there lost everything. We
want to let them know thatGod has not forgotten them.
Will you partner with us?
