Slovenian artist Vuk Costic opened an anonymous email
only to find it had been mangled in transmission, reveal-
ing one legible term net-art.
Eastern Europe and Russia were crucial to its early
years as an artistic medium.
1993 to Present and far into the future, as long as
computers are used.
