Shell is a leading oil and gas producer in the deep water Gulf of Mexico, a recognized pioneer in oil and gas exploration and production tech nology and one of America’s leading oil and natural gas producers, gasoline and natural gas marketers and petrochemical manufacturers. We operate in 50 states and employ more than 22,000 people delivering energy in technically innovative ways.

UNCF and Shell have developed a partnership that will lead to high-achieving, minority students pursuing technical degrees being sourced and developed for successful placement into Shell’s existing summer internship program. The goal of the partnership is for UNCF to provide Shell a pool of highly-qualifi ed underrepresented minority students— in technical fi elds (a few non-technical applicants will be considered) who will successfully complete their internships at Shell.  As Shell assessed interns, they will have the opportunity to get to know Shell and immerse themselves in the energy industry.  Selected interns will be asked to prepare a fi nal presentation about their summer internship project before a fi nal interview.  Following a successful internship, students could be offered a place in the Shell Graduate Program as a full time hire.
